Private/Closed Exploration of the Froena Region Sign Ups

They werent in the cave, they were in the rubble blocking the exit, so we caught them from outside the cave. Only Darla and her mons (sans Galvantula and Noivern) r still inside the cave

No they aren't. They're outside it to. Sorry if I wasn't specific on that. I thought the Gardevoir going past us to help was clear enough indication.

Personally, I don't mind them catching Noivern and Galvantula, but seeing as they were the Pokemon of a league champion, they obviously won't start rolling over as soon as you tell them to. I'd suggest using the same idea as the games, by needing to prove yourself worthy of using a high lvl Pokemon who's OT (Original Trainer) isn't yourself. The games have the gyms... but we'd need to think of a reasonable equivalent.

And then Noivern will be released by Halt. But i feel like later in the RP Noivern will come back and be grateful that Halt healed her, and let Halt capture her. After a while though.

Yeah, but Ender doesnt want us to keep Noivern because it wont be fair to the others, since it's a fully evolved Pokémon and only Riolu and Starly have evolved so far.

So, can we return to the RP?

I was planning on releasing noivern, but it was going to hang around Halt because it freed him. It's going to protect the group, but not as a caught pokemon.

Well if you're gonna catch a League Champion's Fully evolved Pokemon, that's just been betrayed by its owner, then I can see it being fair once you add in all the demerits like the fact that it would probably have some serious trust issues, and definitely wouldn't listen to the kid that almost killed it in the first place.

Darla has also been it's trainer for around ten years. That kind of loyalty, even if built on an abusive relationship, doesn't break easy. Not even for humans.

I dont think it should go back to Darla. She was abusive, and Noivern was her only Pokémon who actually realized that, so if anything, it would hate Darla.
When you put it this way I could see it turning into a wild Pokemon, but since we're the ones that fought it. It hates us too, maybe Halt to a lesser degree cause he saved it.

I never have time to write things.. agh

I agreed with @Melody-Jez because of it even being trained on abuse alot of people DO get Stockhome syndrome so why can't a pokémon?

Stockhome is when somone is 'kidnapped' I think and they learn to love or like their captor not wanting to return home. if that makes any sense...

Also, interesting note on Darla, she is very abusive to both people and pokemon but she is also never devoid of actual love and care for those she abuses. She's just twisted to the point where she fails to see wrong in the abusive behaviors. Noivern, and all of her pokemon, know she does actually care for them.

Stock·holm syn·drome
noun
  1. feelings of trust or affection felt in certain cases of kidnapping or hostage-taking by a victim toward a captor.

So ... she's a sadist?

Yes, and the fealing would be sorta similar with Halt. I would think there might be conflict in the rp because of that.
