“Yeah, that’s my bad.” Dom laughed, “However, as you see, Elekid finally evolved!” Dom said excitedly.

Electabuzz seemed a bit embarrassed at the praise, but took it anyway.

“Anyway, we need to hurry. We might miss the ceremony! And like you said, you take the lead, I’ll follow!” Dom said frantically

Having made it to the courtyard, Alex wasn't having an easy time navigating through sound as just about the entire student body was present. At least, judging by the cacophony of voices all around him. At this point, he was essentially being lead through the crowd by his Pokemon who spotted a familiar Shiny Steelix for a split second and figured it'd be better to be around an acquaintance than complete strangers. Getting to where they had spotted the Steel type, Aria called over to James to get his attention. "Car Cario!"
Alex meanwhile was still scanning the area through the use of aura with little to no success, as well as unintentionally disturbing nearby people with his completely white and pupil less eyes.

“Wow, you sure manage to get a lot done in a short amount of time,” June said, surprised that Dom had managed to get an evolution. She was even more surprised when he reminded her of the opening ceremony, which she had wholly forgotten about. “Oh man, you’re right! Lets get going right away!” she said as she quickly turned back around and began making her way back to campus.

"That was me, my Pokémon were assisting me, as I got the food, Greninja got the chairs and Fomantis got the Silverware." Laura responded, "It would have been quite a bit for me to handle my self, and my Fearow, who serves as a scouter, is currently keeping track of my roommate."

Emma had been seeing the situations from her vantage point, with Jack, "I'm pretty sure these moments are the start of something."

Raboot, Dusclops and Volcarona had been looking around, when Raboot bumped into an Ursaring and the Ursaring got mad.

"Volca!"

The Ursaring held its ground, but Volcarona's glare was figuratively on fire. So a random boy walked up and returned Ursaring.

"Sorry about that, Ursaring can be touchy."

"I totally understand, Volcarona is similarly protective."

The trainer ran off to find a spot to see the ceremony.

"I know, but with my dad being a Frontier Brain and all, it is not something I'm used to," Jason explained, his face had initially gotten redder when Reese check his forehead, but then calmed down.

Metagross had landed when he had said that, and looked to its trainer, it knew something was up with its trainer, and possibly his sister, its smarter than a supercomputer. Metagross literally facepalmed, by taking a leg and putting it up to its face, then putting it back down.

James's Steelix had noticed Gwen the Gardevoir and Waved his tail, alerting James to someone incoming as Fomantis looked over and jumped behind James.

"Fomantis, The Gardevoir is my roommate's." James told his pokemon.

Steelix waved over to the Pokémon, in the hopes the group gets where they're going. The young man noticed his roommate and his Pokémon as Fomantis popped from around James as if he were a corner.

Charlie was leaning up against Del, using him like a crutch since she is currently paralyzed, moving was very troublesome for the moment so she couldn't exactly walk around to other students. She did notice the agrgenton siblings, which wasn't difficult since they typically had most of their teams following around them, and it seems they were talking with another boy. Charlie would have to wait for somebody to aproach her or allow herself to think for a bit. Of course she chose to think given the area She was in
"This is a big courtyard, but I guess you would need something this big given how many students are here" Charlie was thinking in her head. She looked around at the many other students, while most of them on the surface looked very unimpressive compared to Charlie and those she had met st the school so far.
Charlie used her one free hand and put it to her chin "hmm I wonder what the headmaster will be like. I betcha its gonna be some super old guy with huge eyebrows and a long beard. Like he's some super wise and elderly pokemon champion" she thought again, except this time out loud, partially on accident but she didn't mind, if somebody were to hear it and conversate about it she wouldn't turn them down.
"actually I never named this flaffy I got...I wonder if it'll be as angry as before when I let it out of its ball...I believe it was a girl so I gotta think of some name that fits it....Cable? Asura? Amp? No no... Charlie Jr.- wait no thats stupid...I'll save that for when I have kids................what was I talking about, oh yeah names for flaffy. Wait I got it!" Charlie broke her inner thoughts and shouted out loud "I'll call her Joule! Like the one unit for energy in science, and it sounds like jewel which is a pretty good girls name" Charlie had a smug grin accross her face, thinking she was a genius for her naming abilities.

Jack nodded. "Yes, I agree. With so many gifted Pokémon trainers in one place, these interactions are bound to be had." He took a second to remember something that happened to him. "You know, yesterday, I met a trainer named Alex, and I think his Gardevoir took a particular liking to Justin. To think that's only one of the eccentric meetings that'll happen during my time here." He chuckled.

Ivan followed the Riolu into an alleyway, the Riolu turned around and got into a fighting stance and stared angrily at Ivan.

"Hey, wait it's alright. I'm not gonna hurt you."

Ivan walked closer to the Riolu and kneeled down, the Riolu stepped back a little but didn't feel any bad intentions coming from Ivan. Ivan reached out his hand to pat the Riolu's head, Riolu walked closer and sniffed his hand. Riolu put his head into Ivan's hand and began to wag it's tail while smile. After Ivan retracted his hand the Riolu began to run around him with it's tail still wagging, after it finished running in circles Ivan stood up and wiped the dirt and grime.

"Hey Riolu, would you wanna be my pokemon?"

The Riolu happily nods it's head, Ivan grabs a empty pokeball from his belt and clicks it against the Riolu's forehead and it got sucked into the ball.

Thomas smiled as he watched Del piggyback Charlie and went with Hokori to the courtyard where he saw many other students. He wasn't too keen on being with big crowds, but that was something that tended to happen when it came to schools... especially when said school had several interesting trainers with even more interesting Pokemon. As he waited for the headmaster to approach, he overheard a few people ask about what he may look like, this made him ponder and assume what he might be like: A kind old man, a strict by the book man like a certain Pokemon Professor he knew, it was only a matter of time until they appeared and his minor question would be answered.

"Definitely, and James seems to be doing the usual, which is sit in the corner, he got flocked by a bunch of girls earlier when he brought out Fomantis." Emma responded, "I don't know why, he's the most awkward and shy of the four of us, and Steelix is watchful of James and his Pokémon due to their bond."

Fearow had squawked when he found Ivan, and then started flying back to Laura, the Normal and Flying Type had landed on Laura's shoulder, looking around as Emma's Pokémon, barring Dusclops, were returned. People were again crowding around James.

"Of course People are crowding around James, Fomantis was acting cute, and Steelix is obvious." Emma responded, "Laura's Fearow is out, odd."

Charlie looked around some more, realizing a few of the people she had met haven't arrived yet. Or they were in a crowd of people and couldn't make them out "hmm. Dom isn't here yet. And I don't see hokori yet either. I wonder what some of them would say if they saw me like this?" Her face turned a bit red "I hope nobody gets the wrong idea, I mean from an outsider's perspective they couldn't really tell that I was injured unless they see my hand, they might think I'm clinging to Del just because!"

“It must be nice, being that popular with the girls.” Jack smiled slightly. “None of my Pokémon are exactly endearing, unfortunately. I mean, maybe Finneon, but it’s not like I ever get to use it.” Then he looked to the Steelix. “I’d like to have a Pokémon like Steelix someday. Having a Pokémon that large traveling with you would guarantee no one messed with you.”

Walking through the crowd, Alex faintly detected a familiar aura in the path he was being lead through by his Pokemon. Getting close enough to hear their voice more clearly, he called out to them. "Hey, James is that you?"

“Yeah, I’ve been training Elekid for about a month now, it grew a bit faster than I expected but I’ve been battling with it quite a bit.” Dom said as they ran towards the courtyard, “though, I’m gonna go on ahead now, don’t worry, I’ll make up an excuse for you.” Dom said.

He suddenly sped up and jumped up to a nearby tree, and began jumping towards the courtyard. He landed on the roof of the dorm and continued running, jumping from the roof to another tree. He turned the 10 minute trip into half that, if even that. He landed on the top of the loudspeaker near the courtyard, and looked around for somewhere he could land, though it seemed there were people everywhere, and there was only one part of the courtyard that was clear.

“Let’s hope this doesn’t hurt too much.” Dom said to himself.

He squatted down and jumped as hard as he could, and cannonballed into the fountain, which thankfully was deep enough for him to land and not be too hurt. Dom swam up to the surface and pulled himself out of the Fountain. He looked around and soon noticed Charlie and the guy he almost electrocuted the night before, and walked over.

“Hey Charlie, you alright? Why is this guy carrying you?” Dom asked, still soaking wet.

Charlie flinched, turning her head away from the water as she noticed someone crash into the fountain. She opened her eyes and looked back to notice who it was that dove in the water "Dom?!" Charlie looked in surprise "You're soaked!" She criticized the boy's decision to jump into the water "actually how did you even get somewhere to jump....from....oh right. Anyways, to answer your question, I got into a bit of a predicament, on the good side of it I got a new team member, on the bad side my hand is singed and I can barely move because of paralysis. Which is why Del is here, he's going to take me to the nurse's office after the ceramony." She gave an nervous smile to her friends. "I'll introduce you to Joule after I get out of the nurse's office."

Emma had facepalmed when her roommate had jumped into the fountain. Dusclops phased through the splash, to be honest he was a ghost type.

"Jack, look, found Dom, he jumped into the fountain." Emma called, "Why would he jump into the fountain, any idea? Also is Charlie okay?"

Dusclops looked at the soaked guy with a odd look, then looked at the girl talking with the soaked guy.

James had looked up when he heard a Familiar voice. His roommate Alex had called him out.

"Yes that's me, Steelix, whack your tail, but don't use any attacks."

The Steel and Ground type whacked his tail down to hopefully make a noise that Alex could hear.

"That was one helluvan entrance for what I can only assume is a friend of yours, Charlie." Del took the toothpick out of his mouth and put it into his pocket to throw away later. "Quentin Del, Q. Del for short, Del for even shorter, ever thought about joining the swim team, Mr.?..." Del joked with Dom.

“Nice! I cant wait to meet your new Pokémon. I also may have scouted out a new team member, I’m going to go back out to where I was to try and capture it.” Dom said.

Dom stepped back for a moment and shook of the water best he could.

“Ah, nice to meet you Del, and I think I’d be better at jumping and diving than actual swim.” Dom laughed back.

Jack instinctively stepped in front of Emma, protecting her from the splash, although it ended up only going up to his knees. He then replied, “If I had to guess, it’s probably because he jumped from a high place. He’s not the type to cause that sort of thing for fun. At least, from what I can tell.” He dusted himself off. “Oh, Charlie?” He looked over to where she was. “…Looks like she’s been paralyzed.”

Del chuckled nervously before whispering to Charlie, "Did you say his name was Dom? I get the feeling if I demand his name, something might go down between us." Del looked over at Dom, "I would greet myself properly as future cheer captain, but" he shrugged his shoulders to make Charlie's arm move. "My hands are full at the moment. Hey, since you're here, what do you think the ceremony's gonna be about?"

Dom overheard the whisper, and realized his mistake.

“Ah sorry, my name IS Dom, Dominic Celonis! And I think they’ll probably just explain what classes will be like, or something. Who knows, I’m just ready to eat something.” Dom sighed, “I wish I got here on time as well, if I did, I wouldn’t have had to jump into the fountain. It’s pretty deep too, I didn’t even touch the bottom of it, must be pretty deep.” Dom said with a shrug.

He was still trying his best to get all the water off him, while also trying not to get it on anyone.

"Wait, jumped?" Del turned to fully face Dom. "So you didn't just stumble backwards like a buffoon? And you didn't touch the bottom... from jumping.... I don't know what's more interesting, your physical abilities or Charlie's stubbornness." Del looked at all the kids around. "Charlie, Dom, do either of you know if this is everyone, I've seen none of these people before, the only students I saw yesterday were the ones at the banquet, there weren't even any on my ride over."

Charlie luaghed a bit "I couldn't help it! I wasn't gonna have Hokori or Tom catch the flaffy for me then give it to me. At that point it feels like stealing. She smiled at the two as they conversed "well I'm glad you guys are getting introduced to each other now. But Del you weren't on the boat with any of us? Did you come here alone?" Charlie asked "I think this should be most of the students, from the people I know I don't think any of them are missing. Wasn't there one girl with you, I spotted you earlier and I noticed a girl with a Durant, I don't see her yet..." she looked around. Trying to peak over the many heads of students stood in the courtyard.

Dom laughed awkwardly.

“Haha… yeah, I maybe sorta… did my little Draconid thing and… left her behind a bit. She should be here any minute though! Speaking of which, have you seen any teachers? I have to explain our situation to excuse her for being late, since it’s not her fault.” Dom said, looking around to try and spot an adult.

Jason’s face seemed to have returned to its normal color, and Reese breathed an internal sigh of relief. She giggled as his Metagross seemed to palm itself in the face, completely oblivious to what could have the Pokémon so exasperated.

In the time since they’d arrived in the courtyard, Rocket had settled himself on the ground, legs retracted into his base so he appeared almost like a giant, antique bell with arms. Reese still remained on his head, changing her position yet again. “Wonder what the ceremony’ll be like,” she thought aloud.

Charlie gave Dom a blank look before rolling her eyes "You really left her? Jeez Dom, if you would have done that to me I probably would've slapped you across the face, joking." She once more looked around the courtyard " I haven't seen any teachers yet, I'm honestly a little worried. The Headmaster should be showing up soon if the ceramony is about to start, but I think that girl will get here before there's any real problem. Actually Dom, speaking of the headmaster, what do you think they'll look like?" Charlie asked curiously, raising her hand to her chin once more.

Emma had looked at Jack with some worry when he instinctively stepped in front of her when Dom jumped into the fountain, but her look changed when she heard Charlie had been Paralyzed, she checked her bag for anything that could be useful, but didn't find anything.

"Thanks for that," Emma had whispered into Jack's ear, "The splash, I mean."

Emma looked around Jack's shoulder to see Charlie practically clinging on to the guy they tried to electrocute last night.

Jason had looked over to Reese, when Rocket had settled down, he let out another Pokémon, particularly his Kirlia, to watch as he sat on Metagross.

"I wonder that as well, Reese."

Kirlia looked at Rocket and waved, hoping the Golurk was friendly.

"Kirl?"

Laura had heard Ivan and looked down to see a Riolu standing with him.

"Why, hello there, Ace, I'm Laura, Your Trainer, Ivan's, Roommate." Laura responded.

Fomantis popped out of the Pokéball and greeted the Riolu.

"No problem. I thought I'd take the blame for getting my uniform wet." Jack looked down at the part of him that was soaked. "Oh, perhaps I could be of some use here..." Jack searched his bag. He didn't find anything. "Well, even if we did find a Paralyze Heal or a Cheri Berry, there's no telling whether or not it could work on humans."

Charlie lifted her arms up in the air, embarrassed as Jack and Emma approached and tried to help. To which she began to fall and so she immediately gripped back onto Del "no no its fine, don't worry about it, I'll be ok. And like you said I don't know if that stuff will work....I mean it would make sense for the berry to work atleast..." Charlie reached down and grabbed a pokeball from her belt which she had wrapped back around her waist since the last time she had it. Holding the ball in her hand she pressed the button and along with a bright light, a flaffy landed on the ground near everyone "everybody, this is Joule. Newest member of my team!" Charlie smiled at the sheep pokemon, however with a growl and a cry the flaffu charged her trainer. Charlie quickly pressed the button on her pokeball and recalled Joule "...o-ok...I'll have to get her used to me...hehe" She gave a nervous chuckle to her friends.

"It's nice to meet you, Joule." Jack gave a small wave. "I guess we could try running off and finding a Cheri Berry, but the opening ceremony is about to begin, and I don't know what would happen if you weren't in attendance for it..." He put a hand up to his chin.

As soon as Charlie let the demon known as, "Joule" out, he immediately glared at it, hoping it would back off, but ultimately it was just recalled by it's trainer, which makes a lot more sense.

"If it's berries we need, there may be some in the forest we just left, Vars!" The small Ribombee flew out of Dels jacket. "I need you to find some berries, bring some of every color. I, uh, don't know exactly what it looks like. And be extremely careful, that forest is full of monsters... pocket monsters, to be precise." Del looked at all the trainers around him. "Does anyone else want to send their pokemon to help pick berries with Vars? I have nothing but absolute confidence in her ability, but some company would be reassuring." Vars made sort of a pouty face, as if she could do it on her own, but Vars and Del have had a long relationship, she knows when to trust Del's call.

After arriving at the courtyard, Matt was perplexed as he couldn’t identify a single person in the crowd. Unsure what to do from this point on, he awkwardly and unproductively stood around the general area. It looked like the only thing he could do was socialize. Oh joy, his specialty. Although not being socially inept, Matt never really was the best at making any form of conversation. This was primarily the reason the only new person he’d met since arriving on the island was Jason (who he was very much inclined to talk to, as they were roommates). Whatever, it’s not like it’s mandatory to give a soliloquy to the people around him or anything. Matt thought most useful thing to do would be to continue sizing up his competition for now.

"Volcarona, help them out!"

The Shiny Sun Pokémon had appeared in above Emma and Jack. As Emma's Pokémon flew over to Vars, and Waved a wing, Laura had a Pokéball in her hand, and brought her Fearow out again. Fomantis gave a look of surprise, then greeted the Riolu.

"Ivan, I wonder about Ceremony."

She then heard Del saying he was calling on other Pokémon.

"Fearow, help them out!"

The Normal and Flying Type went over to Volcarona. Jason had noticed his roommate out the corner of his eye, but he will talk to Matt later.

“Alright, everyone.” A feminine voice suddenly boomed from the stage that was set up at the courtyard. The students looked over, and saw that it was the Headmaster speaking. She had long black hair and light blue eyes on a tall and attractive figure. “Thank you all for coming. We will now begin the opening ceremony."

After that spiel, the Headmaster went on to say another incredibly long spiel about the school's regulations. How students are required to wear their uniforms when not in the dorms, how some classes are optional or can be done online, as well as the different areas of the island.

Once it was over, the Headmaster took a small bow. "That is all. I thank you all again for joining me. I understand that might have been tough to sit through. You are all free to explore the island now."

"Huh. Thought the ceremony would be more... prestigious. Well I ain't complaining, alright Charlie, to the infirmary with you. Vars, if you can find some berries for me to have in advance, that'd be great meet me either in the infirmary or or room 99. It should be unlocked... and probably wide open, I never closed it. To everyone who wanted to help scout out berries, thanks, but a doctor is probably Charlie's best hope." Del picked Charlie back up like a tourist picking up his luggage he was tired of carrying.

Though mostly silent, simply sticking with Thomas for now, Hokori was intently excited about the ceremony...and then the Headmaster showed up, and said ceremony was fairly boring.
But of course, for someone only previously taught by tutors and the like rather than in a school, a regular school opening ceremony was very exciting for the girl, noting down most of the rules and the like in a small notepad for later.

As soon as it ended and the Headmaster said they were free to explore, she turned to Thomas again.
"Alright, I'm gonna go explore, check out that beach place or whatever. There's bound to be some Pokémon there I can work with, so come with if you want~" She smirked, before pausing. "Unless you have a plan already, obviously." She added, turning to head off to go find the beach.

Thomas had his hands in his pockets and turned his head to see the headmaster, while he was clearly bored with the speech she gave, that didn't mean he didn't listen in case there was anything he found important. When the speech was over, Thomas let out a relieved sigh before he turned his head over to Hokori and heard her tell him her plan to go to the beach, this idea made Thomas smile.

"The beach sounds like a great idea, I was planning to go to the forest to look for a Pokemon of my own to catch like Charlie did, but I got all the time in the world to do that... plus, I can tell even in her Poke ball that my Gyarados would love to do some swimming." He said and went to walk alongside Hokori to see where the beach was.

"Well, seems like I rushed here for no reason." Dom sighed as the ceremony went on.

It was boring, and he decided once the boring ceremony was over would be a better time than ever to go back into the mountains to find that Charmander.

"I'll see you later, Charlie, you as well Del. I have a pokemon to befriend." Dom said as the Ceremony ended and the headmaster said we were free to explore.

He stopped by the dorms to heal up his pokemon, while they were healing he took a look at the different pokeballs they sold. He didn't really prefer to use manufactured pokeballs, but this time he wanted to see if they were any worth, which is when a certain one caught his eye.

"I'll take 5 of these." Dom said.

"Wow, quite the spender I see." the receptionist laughed.

Thankfully money was no issue, he had saved up tons of money and didn't spend often thanks to never having to buy pokeballs. He bought the black pokeballs, with a golden rim and a red and gold stripe on the top. Dom soon went back to the mountain area and found the same group of Charmeleon, and the Charmander once again sat on the side. Dom sat behind a rock and watched as they all trained, and the group still continued to bully the Charmander. The Charmander walked away, coming all the way up to the rock Dom was hidden behind. It seemed to be sulking as Dom hid behind the rock, trying not to be spotted by the wild pokemon. As he peeked back over the rock, he noticed the Charmander continuously using ember. Dom was a bit confused, until he looked back at the group of Charmeleon and saw that they were using the move dragon rage while training.

"Is it... trying to use dragon rage?" Dom thought to himself.

Dom peeked over again at the Charmander just enough to make himself noticeable, and the Charmander looked up at him.

"Ah, don't worry, I just want to help you." Dom said, "here, come on out Sliggoo."

Dom sent out the dragon pokemon which began talking with the Charmander. Dom could tell based on Sliggoos energy that it was a good conversation and not a bad one.

"Right Sliggoo, we're going to help Charmander learn Dragon Rage." Dom said.

Sliggoo nodded, and Charmander seemed to be happy to have a helping hand. Sliggoo immediately began talking feverishly to the Charmander, and then paused for a moment and turned to the side of the mountain, and then shot off a Dragon Pulse. Charmander ran up next to Sliggoo and began firing off Embers, but Sliggoo stopped it. It seemed to be trying to explain something but Charmander seemed to not understand. Dom closed his eyes and tried focusing on Sliggoos energy to try and undertand what it was saying, and soon he understood the picture too.

"Wait, I get it. Charmander keeps inhaling with its stomach instead of its chest, right!?" Dom said.

Sliggoo nodded, and Charmander seemed even determined now. Charmander reeled back and inhaled deeply, this time it seemed to be breathing with its chest, and let the attack fly. A small, purple flame came out but that was it. Charmander seemed excited but there was still more work to be done.

"Alright then, lets keep training. I'm sure we can get it in no time!" Dom said encouragingly.
