Sam woke up with a start, a pain shooting through her body as it jerked to an upright position. The girl gritted her teeth and wrapped a hand around her aching core, she found the other hand unable to move as it was restrained by a cast and an elevated cable. The girl blinked in confusion and looked about the bright room before recalling where she was. How long had it been now? She was one of the last few still in the hospital due to several heart failures because of the consistent electric shocks that were run through her body. Her heart had been normal for about a week now, but she was still kept in the hospital just to make sure. Besides her broken arm and a few internal bruises, Sam wasn't hurt as badly as some of the other students- but her body had gone into shock after the intense battle. Honestly, she wanted to leave since the second day. She missed her friends, her teachers, she missed Caleb. She hadn't even gotten to thank everyone who had fought alongside her. "Mornin' sweetheart, ready to get on out of here?" a sweet voiced caused Sam to tip her head to one side and furrow her brow. "We're discharging you, Samara. All of the U.A. students are officially free to go!" the nurse smiled at seeing Sam's excited reaction. Sam jumped to her feet, wincing slightly at her sore and rigid body before smiling again. "Not quite yet, we've got a bit of paper work and then a staff member from your school will be escorting all of you back to your campus." the woman informed causing Sam to nod graciously and sit on the edge of her bed.
--- Several Hours Later---
With one arm in a sling and several patches on her body and face to cover cuts and bruises, Sam sported a large smile as she walked into the waiting room to be greeted by familiar faces. There was a 1B student who Sam wasn't too familiar with and... Minoru? The girl was surprised to see her purple haired classmate. "Ru!" Sam called out, glad just to see another person from her class, "Where have you been while I was dying of boredom in my room?" the girl inquired teasingly, "I didn't know you were hurt so bad." she muttered but maintained a soft smile.
"Huh?" Ru looked up at Sam and grimaced at her condition. Ru had no more than a few scratches that were visible, he didn't seem to be in bad shape at all. He didn't even fight the entire time, he collapsed after a dagger to the lung so he didn't take much damage besides that. Granted, a ruptured and infected lung takes some time to heal. Ru explained his situation before Sam gave her story, the pair sharing their relief at how the teachers handled the situation in the end. "I guess they were just waiting to send us all back together." Sam huffed before the teacher motioned them out of the building.
The ride to UA was quite but fairly quick, the 1B student being dropped off first before Ru and Sam were taken to their dorm. The heavy rain was a less than welcoming invitation back, but Sam could hardly contain her excitement. While the teacher offered an umbrella, Sam sprinted to the door was soon as she exited the car- Ru shoving his hands in his pockets as he walked behind her.
Sam slammed the door of the building open, looking about eagerly and grinning when she found everyone gathered in the lobby. Ru walked in after her before rocking on his heels, "Awkward..." the boy whispered as he sensed the tension in the air. Sam, on the other hand, didn't seem to mind the atmosphere as she found Caleb in the crowd, thank god he was okay. Without a word, Sam's expression melted an a single tear ran from her eye and down her cheek before she rushed towards the boy, keeping her injured arm tucked close to her body as she ran at Caleb and enveloped the large figure into a tight hug, her arms wrapping around his neck as a few more tears fell as she pulled away with a soft smile. Everyone was okay. It was a scary thing to think about, someone not coming back from the villain attack, but she wasn't given any updates about her classmates while she was hospitalized. She was so happy that everyone was okay.
"So... what's the big meeting for?" Ru asked, referring the the gathering of people. "I hope there's room for two more." Ru added, assuming Sam was also curious as to what was happening.
