Yeah...Kai himself has witnessed a lot. Let’s just say he and Jin didn’t start out hating Xenos. They were very open minded, priding themsleves on openness.
Many of these hints are in the roleplay, although a few are in the book. You may find some...interesting reveals when you corolate the two

Knew that already, could tell by the medical symbol.
Is that a hint? I just had a theory that has close to no support but it is worth a shot. What if Hama was a slave herself and was redeemed? Or maybe she married a Xeno or she is a xeno that married a Yuki and was kept alive since she is useful?

Cool theory, 10/10, I have the general assumption that a Xeno killed Mrs. Yuki, causing Jin and Kai to be filled with hate and Hama fueled with sadism. Sounds to easy though

The genin just got their scrolls for the Forest of Death, is the first hint further ahead or not?
Impossible as she has Ice release(?). Thus she must've been born of a Yuki. Of course, there may be complications as to why a Yuki would've been treated as a slave within her own clan, but there are too many possible stories to explain it so by default we must eliminate that notion until further evidence comes up to support it.

Regarding Hama though, if she's not one of the more direct relatives to Kai's family, then in all likelihood she holds a position close to the family. Perhaps a midwife.
Her white hair would make the other Yuki at the very least distrusting of her, would they trust her to be a midwife?
You're putting the cart before the horse, in this case, you're assuming an order of events.
You've made the assumption that their distrust of white-haired people predates the generation of Hama and Kai's mother.
In which case it'd be rather strange for such a person to become the wife of the clan head.
Therefore it's more likely to have been a rather recent development. It should also be noted that all the Yuki's rules have been specifically written by Jin Yuki, and assuming he's around 30-40, then everything contained within the book should've been rather recently created ones, or unwritten rules that were only made official recently.
This supports the fact that their hatred of white-haired people and Xeno's are recent developments.
Though, the addition of the word Xeno's would imply that Kai's mother is not from the Land of Water.
Assuming white-hair is a family trait then Hama could be Kai's aunt on his mother's side, but by that logic Hama would also not be a Yuki. Her ability to use Ice release would then have to be explained by them hailing from the land of snow.

Taking it a step further, Kai's preferred method of Ice release (Utilizing drones and Ice shaped as creatures.) is in fact a trait of Ice release native to the land of Snow.
It could be sheer coincidence, but it would push the idea of his mother hailing from the land of snow and passing on their techniques to Kai.

Excuse me for making a second theory, but Kai might've inherited his white hair from his mother. Since they didn't hate Xenos before Kai was born, she probably married Jin without too much hatred. What if Kai's mom did something that made Jin and Kai hate Xenos? The problem is that there needs to be a motive for that to happen which is hard to find. Why would she give up her family?
well, those are similar to my assumptions on the situation as well.
I'm just waiting for Shen to slip up and give me more conclusive evidence. In the portrait, both Kai's parents appear to don similar patterns on their clothing. Perhaps it's the clan crest of the Yuki.
There also happens to be another pair of designs on Kai's mother's clothing, so I'll try to take notice if it reappears somewhere.
