No, not nessecarily air tubes. But definitely a physical augmentation due to the change in weight. Perhaps he had parts added and/or replaced for better ones. If anything, my guess would be he's slowly gonna become a sleeker, augmented, Narutobot-like cyborg.
But remain human in certain ways.

Shen seems to enjoy the persuit of scientific advancement over anything else, so it would make sense.

Of course, this is all speculation.

Sweet, Reaver could add an Oto headband to his collection. Hopefully he takes Zaku's as I don't trust your plans with him.

Yeah. Zaku isn’t a bulky type like Reaver. I’d call reaver a tank, and Zaku a glass cannon. They are near compete opposites of the technology spectrum

I made a post on mobile but it seems rather short. Bit of a spoiler in konoha fight tho, so I’d appreciate if only people that weren’t in the fight could see it. Please tell me if I need to add more detail or how I can do so:

Raiku suddenly turned into multiple crows which surrounded Tsuki, obstructing her vision. The number of them seemed to grow bigger and bigger.... suddenly a large explosion was heard as there was suddenly smoke in the battlefield.

It doesn’t matter if they put in mist to hide in if they can’t see through smoke as well.

Raiku pinpointed Tsuki with his Sharingan and started heading towards her, but it appeared as if she was heading father and farther away...

2. Those were techniques that seemed to cost a lot of chakra to wield. How much does he have left?

1. They cast it at just about the same time. The clone dove as Katsuo jumped. Sorry, I know writing out actions taking place at the same time can be a bit confusing.

2. And no actually. Bubble Dome Jutsu isn't that advanced if a technique. Its his mist basic line of defense other than Mountain Shifting Palm Style. Realistically he hasn't used up a lot. With the four clones formed from an existing water source, the mountain shifting palm being a basic taijutsu style that isn't meant to eat up chakra anyways, and two bubble domes, he really hasn't done much.

If it doesn’t cost a lot, I don’t think it would do much of anything to actually dampen the huge explosion that had gone down. That entire ball was compromised of explosive tags basically glued together. Entirely. A gargantuan bomb. A small bubble shield wouldn’t have stopped it then.

And right you are. The Katsu-clone was obliterated for a reason. The bubble is low level but made specifically for shock absorption, so a few explosive tags won't wreck it. But due to the amount, he was trashed.

Katsuo himself combined his defensive taijutsu with his basic dome for a greater affect. I didn't detail it in my post (which I probably should've), that Katsuo was lightly damaged from the blast. I was gonna singe his forearms and hands. But for the most part, he avoided dying, so I throught that was a highlight. XD

Edit: And just because it doesn't cost a bunch of energy, doesn't maken it weak. It us possible to combine weaker techniques for a greater affect without the extra chakra consumption.

.....I just wanna point out the your continuous Genjutsu, and the massive explosive ball are rather farfetched all on there own to ya know. At least they currently are, seeing as he has no help and kept a auditory genjutsu going somehow, and randomly had an explosive ball and tent he was able to summon without scrolls. The lack of explanation makes us just as confused as you.

And you've seen what my bubble domes can do. Stopped Zaku's blast from killing me with it. With the help of Kraken's tendrils of course. But still.
