Ok that’s it for my input on that arc but is it ok if we do our subplots before the exams?
What subplots?
Jin would force his way in just to be a pain in the ass, and if he wants to stay I'm forcing him to come cause I don't trust Jin in the Mist without Mei's supervision.

Ao is...busy~
Ehhhh if that’s what you think. Though Jin would come anyway

You have no argument! A half a dozen armored men! You even described them as 'Attached to his hip'.
All of a sudden, Mei’s door slammed open. Jin Yuki boldly waltzed I’m escorted by his Honor guard, ever so attached to his hip. He seemed to be carrying several scrolls and papers and paced forward with a tone of urgency.
You'd think was about to get assassinated or something.

Actually, the Hyūga's archives wouldn't be completely from the perspective of Konoha. They're a clan that predates the existence of Ninja villages after all. They're one of the oldest Shinobi Clans in existence, and arguably, even the oldest.

They're descendants of Hamura, so they're one of the Four Bloodlines that descends directly from an Otsutsuki, that Number can be bumped up to five bloodlines if you count the Uzumaki Clan since they're stated to be related to the Senju. I'm not too sure how they relate to the Otsusuki though.

The definite others are the Senju, Uchiha, and Kaguya Clans. Going by who they descended from, the Hyūga are the oldest Clan in the leaf since their founder is a senior to Indra and Ashura.

It's unknown when exactly the clans were founded, but Hamura would've had plenty of time between Hagoromo's journey across the ninja world and then the subsequent trials he put Indra and Ashura through before they could inherit his position. Considering Hagoromo was on the verge of death at that point, it's not a wild guess to say his brother was pretty old too, and thus would've already sired the Hyūga Clan.

That being said, the Kaguya Clan who descend from Kaguya herself, would predate even Hyūga. Given their nature though...I doubt you'd find much on history in their archives. They also...kinda destroyed themselves :v

Note that I'm specifically referring to these as Shinobi Clans because non-shinobi Clans would possibly predate even the existence of chakra and shinobi.

Also, since Konoha was founded by the Uchiha and Senju, they're the only ones with a reason to have a history entirely from the view of people of 'Konoha' or more accurately put, it's general geographical Location. We don't exactly know where the other Clans were so its hard to put a finger on their lifestyle during the Warring States.

Since we don't actually know, here's the next best thing, a fan made map!

Hmmm, wait —wrong warring states.

There!

Is it supposed to me a full view of where each family came from?

Eh, a high priest doesn't exactly have the sort of say. I could see the Kage being quite offended that Ame wouldn't even send its leader over when they came in person.

For most villages yeah, but remember this is the Rain and their leader is more of a divine figure not someone who mingles in such common matters. Trying to keep up that air or mystery presence Pain had in canon with the why they spoke about him and what little Jiraiya (The best recon ninja Konoha has) was able to pull from them.

Figure a figure head with a thematic connection might work.

Someone's guess work of it, yea.

Though there are plenty of theories that run contrary to that. Since I'm most familiar with the Hyūga I know mostly about them. There are theories saying that they originate in the Land of Lightning, since it gives a reason for history between them and Kumo, and thus some reason that Kumo would attempt to yoink the Byakugan, but apparently not the Sharingan.

It's a hindsight thing though, I think Kishimoto just didn't think it through.

I understand Pain being a 'divine figure' but the only ones who care about that are Ame themselves. The Kage themselves are pretty sure to raise eyebrows at you guys aren't holy enough/worthy of actually meeting our leader cause he's a god above you.

My point was less the other nations buy such a notion and more it wouldn't be a stretch to say Ame sets up someone else to handle such political matters in Pain's place given he has his well...personal things he does.

Hmmmm! Interesting. Though I’ve noticed a few are missing here.

*cue Yuki flipping the table*

I’ll have Kiro go through the Hyūga’s entire archive if that’s alright. Then after that, it will be the Uchiha or even the Konoha library. Oh and then the museum in the Mist should provide even more world history! Don’t know how much time he’ll have during the heist but any knowledge is good knowledge.

My point was entirely the other nations, as in I'm against the High Priest because the Kage, the more proud type, would take offense. That being everyone who's not Mei or Tsunade, possible Rasa as well. Do recall that they were biased against Gaara during the Kage summit just because he was young.

Ame is in a situation where none of the Nations views them as an equal, so for them to further go an not even send their leader would be...shrugs.

In the first place, no one knows who Ame's leader is, so you probably shouldn't outright expose it by saying —we sent a minion to deal with you guys.

This is a more legit fair point. Which means either Hanzo's body goes directly or they send someone else to pretend to be the leader of Ame in his place. That hypothetical priest character only less open about his subordinate position.

By this logic that a rain Kage is being a representative, are there other Kage coming outside the main 5?
