Ask to Join Naruto: Everyone's Ninja Way

Small missions are fine, but generally, they'd have to be driven by the team with just your teammates to interact with for the most part.

I've got a lot of small missions in mind for Hasa, so if you guys want to do that, then I'll be more than happy to oblige. I think it can definitely go somewhere it building a reputation for our characters as well, rumors of their teams taking out known rogues or making suitable accomplishments.

Ya I kinda like the more limited interaction to start. Basically for Neb's reason below here v

Personally I find it easier to interact with a couple oc's like that anyways and I think it's better because then there's less people to wait on for posts to keep the plot moving

I agree I think that could be a pretty good way of character building

And then like you mentioned, Kyuu, our characters build up a reputation with the world, outside of the other OC's. So like, when we interact again for the first time after the chunin exams end, it might feel more meaningful for both characters sharing that interaction.

I also think smaller groups can help the missions be more direct and move faster, so we can get one out of the way and get to something bigger without a lot of holdover time.

The only issue I potentially see is that people tend to slow down when they're allowed to manage their own time so we're probably gonna have to ride some asses to get them moving.

We should probably alternate as well smaller missions between larger missions or events.

Loosely I imagine a format like:

  1. Big Event (in our case, Chunin Exams)
  2. small Time Skip (few weeks-months maybe) - Optional
  3. Mission
  4. small Time Skip (few weeks-months maybe) - Optional
  5. Big Event (next time the character all end up in one place)
  6. Repeat

The times skips would allow us to cover stuff like training and other missions (assuming we did more than 1 mission a month) and those could be summary format or something, mostly up to people to handle their own time and what they did with it.

I'm fine with that format

it's a civil war so there could be sides with different nations choosing to support different factions.

The Leaf might want to put the Princess back on the throne, another nation could want to help her Uncle the usurper, another could want to held rebel freedom fighters who want to take down the Monarchy...

We could design the scenario to make things more interesting.
I think we should do this for next main arc with some nations supporting one side and others supporting another like kyuu said

Yeah that’s what I’m talking about and obviously not fighting those type of people all the time

I'm just being nitpicky. Cuz yeah, a shonen rp needs antagonists. But the Akatsuki themselves are pretty special, and the less we try to emulate them to create interesting antagonists, the better.

Like, when I'm trying to think of antagonists to use for the AU, I'm thinking, "how do we do something that's not like the Akatsuki". Do you know what i mean?

I get what you mean by the akatsuki was special. Was thinking of just like an underground criminal org that just wants general criminal things and uses missing-nin that we can fight, thats what I meant by similar to akatsuki the similarities end there

@Gamingfan @Shikowara I appreciate y'all's efforts in the other Naruto AU we're doing, and wanted to extend an invite to this one as well; it's more of a trial-by-committee style than the other one we're doing haha; There's only 1 spot open for a Suna genin at the moment! Let us know if you're interested, we're hoping to start the chunin exams tomorrow!

Oh boi I love Pokecharms. Best place for Naruto Rps.

Irony aside, I'm totally down. I'll see if I can write the bio up today.

Alright, think I got a suitable Suna guy. Here he is!

Name: Sable Kazekage
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Village: Sunagakure
Jutsu type: Magnet Release, Taijutsu, One Tails (a.k.a Sand Manipulation)
Description: Despite his willingness to remain motionless for centuries, Sable's previous taijutsu training left him fitter than he would allow himself nowadays, alongside a tan. He's 5'7 with black hair, which seems to shimmer in the light thanks to leftover sand, and matching eyes.
Not one for flashiness, Sable wears a black tunic that covers to his knees and seal marking located on his back, alongside brown trousers and black boots. He wears his head band across his head semi-proudly and wears a heavy, large-ish tan bag filled with a mix of sand and iron powder, which is probably the only thing preventing him from completely reverting to a human blob.
Overall, he's rather unassuming, which is entirely on purpose.
Bio: Despite being skilled at both taijutsu and the Kazekage clan's famous kekkei genkai, traits that made him perfect for becoming Shukaku's jinchūriki, Sable wasn't liked much by them. Aside from the obvious, it was likely due to his extreme laziness, preferring to let his ninjutsu do the fighting while he stands back and relaxes. Combined with his nearly unflappable nerves, neutral voice, and slight mischievous streak, he was misunderstood as overconfident and dickish, and as such ostracized, even by those unaware of his seal.
Not that he minded. Thanks to the aforementioned unflappable traits and relatively mild-mannered nature, Sable simply goes through life, taking everything in with stride, good or bad, with a faintly smug looking smile. Including his status as a Jinchūriki, which was revealed to him at a rather young age, though he prefers to avoid revealing that side of himself and has no interest in building on it.
Likes: Relaxation/Soft Things/ Mellow Food/Messing with friends
Dislikes: Effort/Overzealous/Uptight people/Rough Things/Anxiety/Strong Flavors

Guess we know who the next Kazekage gonna be heheh; it's literally his name!

I had a naruto RP and both y'all were on it.

As for villains... I kinda like the idea of a group of thieves. They are pretty weak in combat as many of them are homeless, beggars, and or desperate. Due to their weak nature they rely mostly on stealth and fleeing if confronted. Combat typically being a last resort. Possibly an attempt to stall people and allow their friends to escape. They mostly have no Ill will towards anyone and merely steal food or money. There may be a few psychos among them that are blood thirsty but overall the average member is just trying to stave off hunger.

You'd have a few decently skilled people among them. Most likely former ninjas that fell on hard times. They'd use old abandoned facilities for their bases of operations.

I like the idea of villains that are gray zone evil. Not murderous sociopaths all the time.

I've been getting some requests for info on Hasa, so here ya go! Hasa backstory!

Origins

The 108 Stars represent 108 Demonic Overlords who were banished and who escaped imprisonment and were released by an accident.

Before they were sisters, the First Generation were all missing, or rogue, ninjas who defected from their villages successfully. They had unwittingly gathered together under the banner of Ishigakure, perhaps the only village truly accepting of their lot: fiends, outlaws, the deprived; sinners by any other name just as wicked.

However, a pack of thieves was never more than just that; cut-throat wastrels and have-nots. Ishigakure offered some protection from the pursuit of their former homes and villages, but it would never be a place suited to calling home. Danger lurked in every corner, most of all the corners inhabited by so-called allies.

Chao Gai, the soon-to-be founder, was a woman intensely disgruntled by the unsavory nature of the village. Here, she commanded no more respect than a wanton harlot. Lascivious eyes stalked her every movement and lead their predatory owners on hunts which—upon the realization that their prey had fangs and claws—often ended in bloody penitence.

That lifestyle swiftly wearied her. After a few months, enough was enough. Garnering the support of those just like her, women discontented with the status quo, one hundred and eight in total, Chao Gai plotted her «Uprising». Inclusive of herself, the movement was a hundred and nine strong; but, it was better said that they were one hundred and nine weak. A rag-tag group of rogues couldn’t join together with the loyalty and camaraderie needed to overturn the establishment. Self-interest above all else, not a single kunoichi would risk her life for such a fleeting ideal. If it was to be done, then it was to be done with a great weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth.

And so it was, that a plan was made. It was with the assistance of a few key supporters, who would later be known by such titles as the Five Tiger Generals and Four Heavenly Kings, that Chao Gai swept her way through their quarrelsome group. By dim starlight, for nine consecutive nights, the one-hundred and eight were made to heel and reborn through fiery nirvana, no longer mere rogues, but sisters. It was neither love nor empathy nor blood that bound the 108 Stars. It was power. Unrefined and unadulterated. For as they were made to heel, Chao Gai had not requested their loyalties, she had taken them. Binding the group together through a unique tool.

Thus on that ninth night, by the light of the constellations, the first generation Stars were born. And the sentiments towards that very tool, both the catalyst of their rebirth and the law of their new cliché, were neatly bundled within its bequeathed name—the Birth Outline.

**Note: The Birth Outline is a ninja tool that binds a group together by force, absorbing portions of their chakra to fuel a seal that's placed on each member. If said member continually entertains thoughts of betraying and harm against other members within the group, the Birth Outline will activate, killing them on the spot. This is not its only function, but it is its main function.
