Ask to Join Pokémon: Sinnoh GTS (RP)

He hastily looked around and saw two boys. He became embarrassed and ran away. He sprinted to Oreburgh Mine, then stopped. " Wow... a workout. " He pulls out Budew's Pokeball. " Ok, come out! " He heaved the ball, and the Budew came out. " Ok, a nickname... How about Glory? You seem like a glorious Pokemon. " Budew showed it's gratitude, then sneezed, with spores coming out of it. Ian anxiously backed away. " Woah there! I would not like those spores. Heh... Ok Glory, return. " The Budew turned into energy and it flew back into the ball in a red beam. He looked around and remembered he was by Oreburgh Mine. " Ok everyone, let's go in. " He went in the Oreburgh Mine and trained against wild Pokemon. He felt good about his team and it's strength so he went into Oreburgh City.

All Tony did was merely nod at Zeke, whether it was to acknowledge his idea to train with him or his request to remain quiet as Zeke attempted to get closer to Starly was unclear, he turned his head back to where he looked around and in the corner of his eye, he spotted what looked like a Growlithe who whimpered under a tree. Tony slowly stepped closer tot he Fire type Canine Pokemon who looked up at him, when Tony looked in to his eyes, he could tell already that something bad happened to this Pokemon, he put his Poke ball back in his pocket and got down one knee, he held his hand out to the Growlithe who slowly approached to sniff it, then Tony went to gently pet it's head.

Tony's indifferent expression seemed to change to a look of slight empathy. "Hey lil' guy." Tony said softly. "You look like you're lonely, or like you've been hurt in a way some people might not understand. Do you wanna come with me? I'm sure those I have with me could relate to you." The Growlithe looked around and seemed to think for a moment before he stepped closer and gave Tony a little lick. Tony nodded and got out his Poke ball again to lightly bump against the canine who disappeared in to the spherical capsule. After a few shakes, the ball let out a chime to notify a successful capture.

"Welcome to the team." Tony said as he stood up and turned to see Zeke and how he got on.

"Alright Lightning, we have to be careful not to make it faint. After all mom did say you can't catch a Pokemon that faints, so we have to show a degree of restraint."

"Lux."

The Luxio practically rolled her eyes as this seemed like a basic thing to repeat, but being their first battle even if against a wild she guessed he just wanted to make sure they didn't flub the chance which was a degree of caution she would not have expected from Zeke. Still the Starly seemed raring to fight, even if the Intimidate that Lightning radiated caused that fight to shrink a little, which should help with the battle to come as Zeke seemed to be shaking but let the excitement settle, it was time to fight!

"Alright Lightning soften it up with a tackle!" Zeke called out, and Lightning charged as the Starly was unable to avoid it in time as the electric type slammed into the bird and knocked it along the ground. A clean hit! Zeke considered pulling out his Pokeball then and there, but Starly proved to be a persistent one, as it shook off the blow and dashed over to Lightning as it tried to strike with a Wing Attack.

"Move to the side and use Leer!" Zeke called out, as Lightning managed to avoid the blow, and gave another intense gaze which again spooked the otherwise spunky Starly and lowered its attack power. Another Tackle call from Zeke caused Lightning to slam into the bird as it slammed into a rock with a groan, weak and seemingly primed for a capture as Zeke tossed his Pokeball and it was sucked inside.

Wiggle

Wiggle

....pop!
However even as Zeke assumed he had caught it, the Starly found the strength and will to pop out of the Pokeball as it returned to his hand as in spite of the blows of the consecutive Tackles, it refused to give up and stood back up much to the surprise of both trainer and partner Pokemon. This shock gave Starly an opening as a Quick Attack caused it to slam right into the chest of Lightning who released a light groan and was dragged back on the ground...but remained standing.

"You okay Lightning!?" Zeke called out, and the Luxio seemed to nod as both the Leer and Intimidate had worked to weaken the Starly's strikes had caused minor damage at best, though Starly flapped around in the air and charged again for another Wing Attack attempt, and Zeke seemed to come up with a rather bold idea.

"Lightning use Bite to intercept!" Zeke called out, and Lightning seemed to trust this judgement as just before the Wing Attack could land the Luxio opened and snapped her jaws on the wing which managed to stop its attack cold and cause pain as Starly cried out before being tossed onto the ground. Once more, Zeke tossed his Pokeball...

Wiggle

Wiggle

Wiggle

...click!
This time the fighting spirit of Starly finally seemed to yield as the Pokeball clicked and signaled a successful capture. Zeke dashed over and grabbed the Pokeball holding it high in the air as he raised it almost like a victory gesture.

"All right, great work Lightning! We got our first teammate!" Zeke said, giving thanks to the Luxio as Lightning masked a subtle smile at a job well done and he turned to face Tony. "Hey look we caught it!" Zeke said with almost child-like excitement.

Entering Route 203, Victoria began to think to herself as walked deep with it. "Hmmm. It just occurred to me, I haven't really gotten to now know Shinx as much I have with Piplup," she said and stopped in her tracks before pulling out Shinx's Luxury Ball, "And we do have a great deal of preparation to fulfill before we're ready to face our first gym battle. What better time than now to do both?"

Smiling, she stepped off of the main pathway and into a further portion of the route. After finding a good spot, Victoria tossed up the Luxury Ball to send out Shinx.

"Shinx~!" Shinx popped out of the ball and was launched into Victoria's arms.

Victoria gave the electric-type a smile and proceeded to pet his head a bit. "Hello, Shinx darling!" She greeted, "I know we didn't get to properly introduce ourselves after I caught you. So how about we break the ice and begin to form a strong bond by doing some training here?"

"Shinx!" Shinx let out while also nodding.

"Wonderful! Now, let's get to it!" She said and went on to set Shinx down on the ground, "We have a gym battle coming up, and we need to be utmost prepared."

With that said, the two wandered around a bit in search of wild Pokémon to battle. Having found nothing so far, they came to a stop. "How peculiar. I wonder where the wild Pokémon have run off to?" She asked as she looked around her surroundings. Within a few seconds, bushes near them began to rustle, which caught both of their attention. Seems they weren't far off after all. The Kalosian trainer looked at her Shinx a bit before calling out, "Hello? Anyone there?"

Eventually, a Bidoof slowly crawled out of the bushes and turned towards the two with a derpy yet adorable look on its face.

"Aha! There's one finally!" Victoria took out her Pokédex and scanned it.

"Bidoof, the plump mouse Pokémon. With nerves of steel, nothing can perturb it. It is more agile and active than it appears."

Victoria put her Pokédex away afterwards. "Alright, it appears that Bidoof will be our first opponent. Ready, Shinx?"

"Shinx!" Shinx cried out and stepped forward to its battle position. He then growled a bit as he used his Intimidate ability, which only left the Bidoof ready for battle itself despite having its attack lowered.

"Shinx, use Tackle!"

Shinx proceeded to charge the Bidoof with a Tackle attack just as he was told, and the normal-type charged as well with its own Tackle. The two Pokémon's heads clashed together as the battle began.

Deep within the large, weaving streets of Jubilife City sat an impressively sleek building adorned with a pair of imposing towers and a grand set of double doors.
From one of these doors came a set of large, lurking security guards with a much smaller young man in tow.

“Well I didn’t ask for your opinions anyways! Let go of me, guys!”

Unfortunately, to the young man’s request, the guards dropped him right outside the front door, flat on his backside.

“Look kid, we didn’t wanna get physical with you. Just stay out, alright?”

The smaller of the two guards grumbled whilst turning to re-enter the building. Just as the door was about to close, the larger of the two guards popped his head out, quickly muttering,

“Or else next time the police will be escorting you out.”

Quentin Wilder had been in the Sinnoh Region for a total of three days… and it had not been going as expected.
After completing his X-Gear, he was certain that one of the big, poketech companies would surely be interested in his ideas.
But no. Because his product wasn’t ‘truly original’ he wasn’t even given the time of day! An outrage!

“My modifications more than show my aptitude for streamlining existing tech, but they were just too stupid to know any better. Whatever, I’ll show them.”

Q quickly jumped to his feet, dusted off his pants, then double-pressed the power button on his bulky-looking watch. As he did so, two screens emerged from the device, one sliding out from the side, with the other acting as a flip-screen added to the top of the device.
After a few more taps and clicks, he had pulled up a digital map of the Sinnoh Region- only it had been modified to highlight points of interest for the young man.

“Poketch was a flop…what about the Fossil Museum?”

The pokeball in Q’s inner pocket suddenly opened, releasing a subtle flash of red light which quickly took the shape of a Teddiursa. The small bear Pokémon clung to his trainers left shoulder, staring down at the watch as Q fiddled with it.

“Teddi…”

The Teddiursa murmured with a condescending side-glance aimed at Q.

“Look Grendel, I handled myself fine in there. It’s those guys with a screw lose.”

“Uuursaaaa.”

The newly revealed Grendel replied in a mocking tone, giving his trainer a small smirk before returning his attention to the watch.

“Oreburgh City is a neighboring town. All we gotta do is head east through route 203. Shouldn’t be anymore than a couple hours. Feeling up to it?”

Q asked while double-tapping the side button once more, causing the screen to quickly slide shut.

“Ursa..”

Grendel nodded with a fiery grin in response.

And with that, the pair headed out for their next town in the pursuit of knowledge~

The battle continued on with Shinx and the wild Bidoof sharing and colliding Tackles with each other. Both seemed pretty even so far.

"That's it! Keep it up Shinx!" Victoria cheered on.

Bidoof soon broke the pattern as it dodged one of Shinx's Tackles and hit him back with one to the side. This knocked Shinx back to Victoria a bit.

"Shinx! Are you okay?"

Shinx shook itself and growled at the Bidoof a bit for the surprise attack it dished out. He was ready to return the favor.

"Remain composed, Shinx. Our momentum may have been broken, but we can still win this," Victoria ensured to the electric-type, "Now, wrap this up with Spark!"

Shinx lunged forward and ran towards the Bidoof. His body enveloped with electricity as the blue and black Pokémon charged at his opponent. Shinx proceeded to slam at the Bidoof and knocked it down on the ground, winning the battle.

"Yes!" Victoria exclaimed, jumping up a bit in excitement, "We won, Shinx!"

"Shinx~!" The electric-type exclaimed and ran to it's trainer.

Victoria kneeled down and proceeded to pet Shinx on his head.

As for the Bidoof, it got back up after a few seconds. And with that, a few more Bidoofs began to show up, likely wanting to battle as well.

"Oh? Looks like its friends are looking to tussle too," Victoria said after noticing them and looked down at Shinx, "Shinx, you take a rest for a bit." The Kalosian trainer stood back and brought out Piplup's Pokéball. "Piplup, go!"

Piplup came out of the ball and stood in front of the Bidoof. "Piplup!" The water-type chirped out, ready for battle as one of the Bidoofs stepped forward to have the first go.

"Now then, Piplup, use Bubble!"

With the order given, Piplup fired a Bubble attack at the Bidoof that stepped forward.

Dolan snapped a quick picture of a boy and his staraptor before heading to his first destination. The pokétech company. Dolan arrived and headed in, there was a woman by the front desk to greet people as they walk in.

*snap!* "Good morning, how may I help youl?" The woman said completely caught off guard as the boy took a photo, "Hello! Do you guys give tours? Technically I don't need one cause I already know someone who knows this place in and out like the back of his hand!" Dolan cheered.

A large man in a suit walked over to greet them, "good morning! Would you be interested in a tour?" The man said. "M-mister president?!, good morning, sir" the startled woman said. "Morning to you as we-" before the man could finish his sentence, *snap!*. Dolan was standing right beside him and had snapped another photo. "Well aren't you chipper? Let's began that tour, shall we?" The president said.

Dolan was pretty happy to be on the tour, "Right this way! So over hee you can see our promotional posters which features our pokétech watch! We're offering promotional pokétech watches to those who visit one of our facilities, and takes one of our wonderful tours!" The pokétech president said. The man began giving the tour. He showed all sorts of gadgets that they've made, as well as the pokétech watch, and how they we're being made. Pieces of the watches were moving across a conveyer belt, and were slowly being out together. Several workers in jumpsuits and protective equipment were overseeing the production of the watches. They eventually reached the end of the tour, "Do you have any questions?" the pokétech president said. "I don't think I have any." Dolan asked. Dolan was beyond excited to be given a pokétech watch for attending the tour. Dolan's watch was red with a white strip. Aloi looked as the watch, then transformed into a pokétech watch almost just like it. Aloi's face appeared where the screen would have been. "Dittooo!" Aloi cheered before reverting back to its normal blue form.

Even the president seemed impressed with the boy's knowledge. "Waranty?" Dolan commented.

"Of course! Of course! All of our creations are warranted. If a device is broken or damaged, we make repairs, and replacements on the house! We aim to please!" The pokétech president said.

The next stop was the Jubilife Television Station! One doesn't simply go to visit Jubilife City and not visit the television station. My favorite channel, 'Anémon Planet'!" Dolan asked.

Dolan met a man who told him about a shortcut. Dolan happily wrote it down and took the shortcut. "This is definitely note worthy for my book" Dolan said. As he reached the broadcasting station, Dolan walked in. Much like the last place, there was a door greeter at the front desk. "Good morning, how may I help you?" The woman said. Dolan noticed all sorts of people walking around, up and down the stairs. In and out of the elevator. This was definitely the place!

As Dolan eagerly took pictures he noticed another lady walk by. She was followed by a man with a large camera. She might have been a news lady or something? Dolan wasn't entirely sure what he'd find here. He decided to approach the lady followed by the cameraman, "Scuse me, miss. Got any time for an interview? Sorry if that's kinda random" Dolan said. "Interview me? You interview me? That's my job! And you don't even have an appointment... Oh very well... Anything for a fellow reporter, but, I'm in a little hurry so let's make it quick" the lady said. "Great!" Dolan responded.

Dolan asked the lady about the city, about the broadcasting station, and recommended locations for tourists. Lastly he asked her about any underrated locations worth visiting. The woman happily answered his questions. Dolan even took a few pictures. Even snagged a really good photo of a pachirisu on his way leaving the broadcasting station. Dolan was looking through his photos, Dolan was pretty contempt with the places he had seen. It was time for him to head to Oreburgh City. Dolan wasted no time heading that direction. Well... excluding the twenty pictures he took on the way.

Now Dolan found himself in a pickle of a situation. He didn't know where in the distortion world he was. He did see a burgundy haired boy with an adorable teddiursa with him. Dolan could help but snap four pictures of them.

"Hello! Errrr... Either of you know how to get to Oreburgh City" Dolan asked.

"Ditto dittooo" Aloi cheered as he turned into a light green teddiursa, but obviously retaining his normal ditto face.

Q had been on Route 203 for nearly a half hour, but had made almost zero ground during that time.
Instead, he stood squaring off with a bug catcher; the two of them apparently arguing over what seemed to be a female Combee…

“I put the honey on that tree! It’s obviously my Combee to try and capture!”

The Bug Trainer shouted, throwing his arms above his head in anger as he did so.

“There’s a whole hive, and I’m the one who called out it was female. And you weren’t even here when they started swarming! It’s my catch!”

Q retorted, his X-Gear opened and still pointed at said Combee he’d spotted upon entering the route.
Grendel remained idle on his trainers shoulder, rather amused by the exchange.

Just as the two were about to continue there shouting match, a flash of light accompanied by a loud click suddenly caused both Q and Grendel to jump slightly. But more importantly, it caused the nearby Combee to flee in panic.

“Noooo….”

Both Q and the Bug Trainer groaned in unison, turning their attention to the source of the flash.
Though, as the surprise photographer followed up by asking for directions, the Bug Catcher merely ran off towards the Combee, while Q remained still, simmering down from the previous interaction.

“You just uh…you just continue east down Route 203. Looks like there’s a small cave you gotta pass through. Not sure. Haven’t gotten that far yet…”

Q responded, giving the unknown photographer a strange look as he began clicking and tapping away on his X-Gear, eventually causing the device to close up, before focusing his attention back on the matter at hand.

“What was that about. Why’d you take my picture?”

"Thanks bud!" Dolan said waving at Quentin.

"Cave huh? What do you think of that?" Dolan said looking at Aloi who was still green teddiursa.

"Dittoooo!" Aloi cheered.

"That's not a poketech watch, so like what is it?" Dolan said confused.

"The name is Donal. I mean Dolan! Dolan Larch. Nice to meet ya!" Dolan said cheerfully.

"Ditto dittooo" Aloi said waving at the actual teddiursa.

"If I may ask, what brings you out here? Are you heading to Oreburgh CIty, or Jubilife City? Or maybe enjoying the sights and scenery!" Dolan said taking a picture of a few wild pokemon.

Dolan pulled out his laptop and began transfering his pictures from his camera to his laptop before posting them on his blog site.

Dolan looked at Quintin, "I like taking pictures, ya know? You got a cute teddiursa with you. Theres tons of cool pokemon out there. Tons of great nature scenery. Tons of great cities and tons upon tons of great stories to be made. I write books. I love adding pictures in them and adding the occasional story here and there. Good stuff. I mostly came to Sinnoh so I could write my next book" Dolan said.

"Why'd I do what? Take your picture? Check it out. Looks good, huh? Great shot! Just had to snap it! Hope you don't mind" Dolan said cheerfully.

Tony turned his head to Zeke and raised an eyebrow at their excitement, all they did was catch a Pokemon, not dig and find gold. "Cool." Tony said with his usual indifferent tone before he briefly held up the Poke ball in his hand. "I got one too. Think we should get a move on? I wanna see about getting some stuff done before it gets dark." He said before he decided to show him what he caught, he lightly threw the Poke ball upward and his newly acquired canine companion emerged once more.

The Growlithe immediately looked back at Tony and went to try and jump up to him, Tony knelt down and went to gently pat the Fire type Pokemon's head, one that Growlithe clearly seemed to enjoy as he began to pant rapidly like most canines do. Before Tony could return him, the Growlithe curiously turned to look at Zeke and Lightning, he went to walk up to them to give both trainer and Pokemon a sniff.

Zeke seemed to brush off the indifferent reaction, it mattered not really he was pumped he made his first ever successful capture! He really felt like a real Pokemon Trainer, this had not been just him daydreaming in school, but thanks to Lightning tugging on him he snapped out of his daze and nodded along to Tony's comment as it seemed like a reasonable course of action.

"Sure sounds good to me." Zeke said with a smile, though when Tony revealed his capture it seemed to be a Growlithe, which caused Zeke's eyes to widen. "W-wow a Growlithe!" Zeke said as he scanned it with his Pokedex while his Luxio sniffed back at the Fire Type.

"Growlithe, the Puppy Pokemon. Friendly and loyal, but also jealously protective of its territory. Carelessly approaching it may result in a bite."

Since Tony had revealed his capture, Zeke only felt it was fair to do the same. Besides, he needed to properly integrate his capture to the team as he released his Starly who glanced around before its eyes settled at Zeke.

"Hey there little guy, happy to have you on the team. But what do you want to go by..." Zeke mused, since he had given his partner a nickname he felt the Starly needed one as well. Given what he knew of them, typically they hung out in flocks yet this one seemed to boldly face them alone, and it was there he seemed to get inspiration from the male Starly.

"...say, how about Maverick? You seem to be a bit of an independent Starly, like it?" Zeke asked, as the Starly milled it over before it released a happy cry. "Star!"

"Great, welcome to the team Maverick!" Zeke called out as Lightning just nodded as Maverick the Starly moved to sniff it before it turned to do the same to Tony's Growlithe.

After a while of battling, with Piplup and Shinx switching between each one, the Bidoofs were finally defeated. The Pokémon, looking a bit scuffet, panted a bit as they stared down at the Bidoofs that layed on the ground.

"We won! Wonderful job, both of you!" Victoria said to her Pokémon.

The two turned back to their trainer and let out cheerful cry at the same time.

Meanwhile, the group of Bidoof slowly got up and proceeded to walk, seeing no reason to stick around since they all lost.

Victoria noticed them taking their leave and began to wave at the group of normal-types. "Thank you for the battles, Bidoof! 'Til we meet again!" She called out and heard them cry back at her in response. Once they were gone, Victoria kneeled down in front of Piplup and Shinx and sets down her bag. "Now then, you two look a bit ruffled up, so why don't we do something about that?" She said with a smile before beginning to go through her bag.

As both waited, Piplup and Shinx looked at each other and noticed the handful of scuffs they both had received in the skirmish with the group of Bidoofs.

It took a little bit before Victoria found what she was looking for. "Oh dear," the Kalosian trainer uttered out before pulling out a Full Restore, "Seems I've forgotten to replenish in supplies. This is the only Full Restore I have left." She looked at her two Pokémon and determined that one would be enough to heal both of them. "Not to worry! I'm sure this will suffice. But this does mean we'll have limit our battling until we reach Oreburgh." With that settled, she sprayed both Piplup's and Shinx's scuffs with the Full Restore. Luckily, she was correct that one would be enough, and as the cherry on top, it still had just a little bit left. Knowing that it will come in handy later, Victoria put it back in her and stood back up. "Alright, shall we get back on the move?"

"Piplup~!" "Shinx~!" Both cried out with cheerfulness.

"Perfect!" Victoria said with a smile, "In that case, you two should get some rest." She pulled out their respective Pokéballs and returned the two back in them. With that, she began to make her way back to the main road she was walking through before.

Q had trouble keeping up with the flurry of questions that the newly revealed Dolan had suddenly begun dropping on him- while also trying to keep up with what the stranger had begun doing on his laptop.
Though, all these worries mostly went out the window when Dolan asked about Q’s unique watch.

“I’m actually here because Sinnoh is rich with advanced tech, and I wanted to test my metal as an inventor- well…more so tinkerer.”

The young Teddiursa trainer quickly activated his X-Gear, showing Dolan the sleek, improved display, which was reminiscent of a classic Pokegear display, but with clear enhancements to the software.

“This is my X-Gear. Put it together using an X-Transceiver, a broken Pokegear, and a police-issue flashlight.”

After quickly sliding his display closed, Q looked on at the photograph Dolan had snapped of him.
In the picture, his expression was stern and heated, as he was amidst an argument. But Grendel? He was much the opposite; giving a charismatic grin to the camera, which he’d evidently already noticed.

Q had to admit it- the photo was good. It was high quality and properly captured the emotions either party had been conveying in the moment.
It told a story, and it looked nice while doing so.

“You’ve got a good eye, I’ll give you that.”

"Maverick huh? Not bad, I'd nickname my Pokemon, but I've never been good with names." Tony said as his Growlithe continued to give Zeke and his Pokemon a sniff before he walked back to Tony who got out his Poke ball to return him, once Growlithe was returned to the spherical capsule with a small flash of red, Tony turned his head to the path before he looked back at Zeke.

"So... what, do you wanna maybe do some training or do you think we should see about getting a move on and getting to Oreburgh? Once we get there, there may be some trainers we can battle against unless there are some who were with the old man when you went to go and see him." He asked as he put his hands in his pockets and looked up to see what the weather was like... or would be like later on.

"Oh no worries just a little tradition I've started with Lightning so I feel it is fitting my full team get it..." Zeke answered as both Maverick and Lightning seemed to exchange curious sniffs to each other and then the Growlithe before Tony outlined some options to Zeke as he paused to think over what to do.

"Well, the Gym is not gonna go away anytime soon, and perhaps to better our odds for the other Trainers a spar between us could help get our new Pokemon some experience so they are more ready for the challenge. How does that sound?" Zeke asked, and Lightning had to pause as this had been the most forward thinking frankly she had ever seen from her partner.

Slightly further along the path that Victoria was on, Jake sat on a tree stump, looking at the map on his Rotom Phone as Sonny sat next to him on the stump, currently leaned against him with his paws in his "pockets", his eyes shut, and Jake's backpack next to the stump, currently leaned against it. Turtwig and Forte seemed to be in their pokeballs.

"We're almost to Oreburgh...first thing I wanted to do was check out the Fossil Mine, and hopefully find a fossil....reviving an extinct pokemon would be really cool. Help bring their species back from extinction, even if it's just one..." Jake smiled at the Raboot, who just nodded quietly as he opened one eye.

"Might as well look around afterwards though...that's what i like about being on our own with no parents or anything. No rushing, can do everything on your own time." Jake chuckled a little as he set his phone in his pocket, before he stretched his arms.

Sonny, sensing he was about to stand, quickly did himself so he wouldn't falll over onto his head, and hopped off the stump, and proceeded to dust himself off a bit, as he glanced around, as Jake picked up his backpack off the ground and slung it over his shoulders, before he made sure he had everything he had brought with him.

(sorry for vanishing, would someone mind liking one of my posts in the discussion chat so I can access that)

"Tinkerer, huh? Neat" Dolan said looking at the tools Quinten shown him.

"Thanks! I like to get the little details just right. Makes the picture more meaningful... By the way... Speaking about adventures... I still need to reach Oreburgh city. Assuming your headed the same direction, we could probably do it together. Anything you plan on doing out here or just heading straight to town? Assuming this is alright with you of course..." Dolan said.

(OOC: Sorry for the super late post)

Eventually, Victoria found the path she was on before and resumed on traversing along it. The Kalosian trainer looked up at the sky to see where the sun was and estimated that it may be some time in the afternoon. "Here's to hoping I can arrive before dark," she said to herself.

As she continued to walk, Victoria noticed a tree stump coming into her view. Not only that, but sitting on it was a boy as well as a Pokémon on the side him. She squinted bit to see clearly as they looked familiar, before beginning to figure out who it was. "Is that...?"

As they got up, Victoria made her way towards them. "Hello!" She called out as she approach the boy recognizing him more before giving a small wave with her hand, "Greetings! Pardon my sudden appearance, but didn't we encounter back at Professor Rowan's lab? You're the professor's assistant. Jake, right?"

Jake blinked and looked up in surprise at her, as Sonny turned his head.

"Oh....Victoria, right? Took Piplup?" he recalled as he straightened.

"And yeah....sort of. Got sent here from Galar by a big professor there to help Professor Rowan...and to explore the region for myself. Which is what i'm doing out here."

He cleared his throat.

"But yeah, my name is Jake...nice to properly meet you." he smiled a bit.

"This is Sonny." he motioned to the rabbit pokemon.

"He was MY starter...I heard you guys don't really have his species of pokemon here, you ever seen one? A Raboot?" he asked curiously, glancing down at the fire rabbit as he did, who glanced back at him with a quiet exhale.

"Correct!" Victoria affirmed in response to him remembering her name before hearing his business in Sinnoh, "Pleasure to meet you too."

She looked down the Jake's Pokémon as he introduced it to her and asked if she has seen one before. "Oh? I don't believe I have. Raboot, huh? If I had to make a guess, he looks the parts of a fire-type," she said as she pulled out her Pokédex. The device extended its blue screen before scanning Sonny.

"Raboot, the rabbit Pokémon. It kicks berries right off the branches of trees and then juggles them with its feet, practicing its footwork."

Victoria smiled at the fire-type after hearing its info. "Very nice to meet you, Sonny! Quite the precious name you were given," she said before putting her Pokédex away and turning her attention back to Jake, "If he was your beginning Pokémon in Galar, then his species may not be native here. And I can confirm I have never seen one where I'm from." Still keeping her smile, Victoria placed her right hand on her hip and gripped the edge of her fedora a bit with the index finger and thumb of her left hand, tipping it a bit. "You're not the only one who isn't from around here. As a matter of fact, I traveled here from the Kalos region," the Kalosian trainer said, debunking Jake's earlier little presumption.

"Ohhh. My bad. Always wanted to go to Kalos." he smiled and nodded in understanding.

"And yeah, he's a fire type...he's....unique, i'll give him that." he said, as he listened to the Pokedex read off Raboot's entry.

Sonny glanced at him as he spoke, and slightly raised an eyebrow at the Pokedex information, as he looked down at his feet for a few seconds.

"Anywho...where you headed? What brings you to Sinnoh?" Jake asked curiously, as he looked back at her with a small smile

Tony merely shrugged at Zeke's suggestion and raised his eyebrows lightly. "Eh, solid plan, care to lead the way then?" He said, but just as he was about to walk, another Poke ball in his opened and one of his Pokemon came out, but rather than be the Growlithe he recently caught, it was a different Pokemon, a little black fox who looked up at Tony with a cheerful smile, Tony kneeled down to pick up the Pokemon.

"Oh, hey Zorua, got bored hanging out in my pocket?" He asked, Zorua replied with a nod. "Fine, you can travel outside with us, but try not to cause any trouble." He said as he put the Zorua down who immediately walked over to happily greet Zeke and Lightning.

“That would probably…be a good idea. I’ll be honest, I’ve never been in a proper trainer battle, and the idea of taking the cave solo worries me.”

Q scratched the back of his head sheepishly, hoping his inexperience wouldn’t make the slightly older trainer regret his generous offer.
All the while Grendel sat proudly on the boys shoulder, ready to take on anything in the cave.

"I can ensure that you would enjoy the Kalos region," Victoria said in response to Jake's comment about wanting to go to Kalos, before hearing his question, "I'm on a course for Oreburgh City to obtain my first badge, which ties into my reason for being in Sinnoh. To compete in the Sinnoh League!"

Still smiling herself, Victoria looked down to Sonny and crouched down. She petted his head for a bit and stroked his ears gently. "And you? Now that you're here traveling as well, have you decided on any plans or goals?" She asked Jake as she looked up at him.

Sonny blinked in surprise as she did, but made no move to resist. His left foot slowly started to thump the slightest bit, as he allowed her to continue.

"Well, as of right now, I'm only really trying to see the sights of the region, catch a few pokemon...oh, and research as much as I can. Out in the wild, up close...without any trouble, preferably. I was actually gonna head to Oreburgh next, check out the Fossil Mine...try to find one if possible, getting to revive it back into a Pokemon would be awesome....help bring it back from extinction." he smiled, as he pulled out his Rotom Phone and opened the Map app, and moved it around, and zoomed in on Oreburgh.

"Welcome back! Jublife's Marvelous Cooking Show! Starring our darling...Welly Waters!"

A series of applause were given by a live studio audience, which sat in stands behind an assortment of cameras and lights. The cameras were recording that of a flush kitchen in the tv studio, a well dressed woman with glossy hair and silver earrings walked into view.

"Good evening, I'm your host: Welly Waters, and welcome to my show! Tonight it's my pleasure to show you what we will be making today. First, we have the classic yet classy lum berry pie, popular every loverbird's getaway. Hint hint Ralph!"

There were some laughs from the audience as she gave a well practiced smile in response, moving on to the next item in line.

"Upping the challenge here we have the multi colored Milotic Soufle, topped with powdered heart scale! Fancy!"

Several marveling 'oohs' and 'ash's' were uttered followed by more enthused applauded. Welly Waters planned to make something so complicated? She wasn't done, as she moved to a third dish, one with a large golden lid on it. It was massive, two feet tall dish that was hidden from view.

"Now, I save the best for last folks! This dish is by far the most complicated! Imported from Hoenn, this one is a delicacy, made of an elaborate woven pokeblock Gorbyess mixture, made with Blissey eggs and MIltank milk, this Cake is to die for! Get ready for the Lilycove Lila Sparkle Cake!"

The crowd held their breath in anticipation, as the golden cover was removed. They arched their backs and peered inside...

*Munch!*

...Only to find a boy and a Sableye already halfway done devouring the cake, grabbing fist full globs of the sugary mush and stuffing them in their mouths. Loud gasps were given all around as they stared dumbfounded at the pair. The kid in question, Kura, looked up at the hostess, making eye contact with their goggle covered eyes, before slowly eating another glob of the once beautiful cake.

"EEEEEEEEEEK! Security! Se-cur-i-ty!!!"

She grabbed a pan and chucked it their way, the intruder deftly ducking their head as it soared over him. He got on all fours, Racing across the table, leaving soot with every step as she attempted to stop him with cooking utincels, rarely hitting her mark as the situation began to go down hill fast. Sometime along the way, Kura kicked over several rolls of paper towels on the active oven top, which quickly caused them to catch fire.

The fire alarm blared out as smoke filled the room, the studio audience panicking and beginning to flee the scene. At this time, two security guards forced the door open, looking around for what was going on in here. They saw Kura climbing atop the Kitchen cabinets while his Sableye hopped atop Welly Water's shoulders and began to pull at her hair.

"Hey, you! Stop!"

Party was over. Kura leaped out of the way of an a hand to stop him as Sableye jumped to cover him, smashing a kitchen plate on the guard's head. As soon as the second one came close, they sought for an escape plan. Sableye jumped to his partner's back, the Lumberry pie from earlier in his grasp, as they found the nearest window and-

*CRAAAAASH!*

The window shattered! The preteen still hanging onto a bite of that sweet sweet cake in his mouth as icing filled the air behind him.

Yup. This is about him.

"Sure, should be a decent spot around here." Zeke said as he began to lead himself and Tony as he seemed to be growing a touch excited; a shocking development to be sure, but this seemed destined to be his debut Trainer Battle...moments after his first capture, for one who had dreamed of this journey for soo long it had been hard to contain it.

Course, himself and his partner's attention shifted as Tony's Zorua popped out and seemed to give the pair a curious sniff; one Lightning seemed to return though Zeke's eyes seemed to widen.

"Oh wow a Zorua!" Zeke said as he pulled out a Pokedex to take a scan of it.

"
Zorua, the Tricky Fox Pokémon. To protect themselves from danger, they hide their true identities by transforming into people and Pokémon."

"Wow, that is cool." Zeke said as he seemed impressed with Tony's team.

Dolan held his thumb up to Quintin's commentary. He then held his thumb up towards Grendel who sat upon Quintin's shoulders. Then looking at Aloi, before turning towards the road ahead. "Guess its time to roll out!" Yu said snapping a photo of a woman which startled her, almost causing her to drop her things. Dolan continued to casually make his way towards the cave that would get them to Oreburgh City. Whether that meant walking through tall grass or under low hanging branches.

*Thud*

The young hoodie clad boy plopped himself down. He had managed to evade the security and the insanity that happened on the cookie show, coming away with a sizable bounty. The boy snickered a toothy grin. As he began to pile up some of his loot in the alleyway he found himself in.

Shiny spatulas, a toaster, glass shards, a camera, and even the earrings from Welly Waters! And the food? Why, didn't expect him to like it on the ground did you? Sableye then shuffled forwards, opening his mouth.

"Bleeeeeh."

Sticking out his tongue, it reached back and grabbed a wig that he had snatched somewhere in the chaos. Kura laughed as Sableye popped the piece to the ground.

"Hehehehe! Funny, funny!" They laughed. "Lots of Shinies today, lots of noms! Very good-good!"

The world was a confusing place to some, but not to Kura and Sableye! They had it all figured out. There was all the food that they can take and all the shiny objects to collect. It was perfect! Great for taking back to the underground. He wondered why others didn't do this just like him, what a missed opportunity!

"Are you now?" Victoria said before looking back down at the Raboot, who's ears she's stroking. She kept smiling at him, gently stroked his ears a bit more before stopping, and stood up.

Her attention was then turned back to Jake, smiling. "Well, since we're both heading towards the same destination, why don't we go together?" The Kalosian trainer asked, "That's is if you don't mind in the slightest bit, of course. I personally wouldn't issues with the idea."

After the long and tiring 5 HOUR flight from Galar, Zephyr finally make to Sinnoh with his partner Pokemon, Rookidee.

“Ugh... finally we’re here! God that took so long.. There’s a hotel nearby, in uhh... where are we again?”

Zephyr took out his Map his father gave him, it read “Jubalife City.”

“Huh, neat. Anyways, the hotel’s close by.. I’m tired. Let’s go, Rookidee.”

Zephyr walked to the Jubalife Hotel, and checked in. He took the stairs and got to his room. The second he got up to his bed, he fell asleep with Rookidee in his arms.

Jake listened to her proposition as Sonny shifted.

Jake looked in the direction of Oreburgh.

"Mmm...sure, why not, might as well. Beats going alone...well....MORE alone." he said, as he looked down at Sonny.

He smiled and nodded at Victoria.

"Lead the way...it'll be nice having another out of towner around." he chuckled lightly.

"Anywhere in particular you're headed in Oreburgh?" he asked, as Sonny nimbly jumped into the air and landed on Jake's shoulders, going piggy back as they started to walk, the pokemon's rabbit feet allowing for much easier jumping.

“Look, I know you like to ‘capture the moment’- and it’s a great way to get good shots… but I have a feeling you sometimes capture the…wrong moments. Hah!”

After giving a small chuckle at his own remark, Q pressed onward with his newfound associates through Oreburgh Gate.

“Oh wow, it really is a short tunnel.”

After noting that the tunnel was only about 50 or 60 feet long, he didn’t even bother flipping on his X-Gear flashlight as tunnel was rather well lit by natural light peeking in from either side.

About half way through the cave, the group passed by an eerily dark side tunnel off to the left. Q couldn’t help but pause and stare into the dark void for a moment, contemplating what might lay deeper. He was quick to shake this thought off, as his new traveling companion, Dolan, didn’t seem to hesitate; continuing straight through towards the exit.

As the pair emerged from the other side of the tunnel, they were greeted by a densely packed city of small homes and businesses. About 30 feet up in the air, several conveyor belts could be seen carrying coal, ore, and rock out from Oreburgh mine and depositing it at various facilities across the city.
On top of all this, the Fossil Museum towered above every other building in the city despite being near the back of the town. It consisted of massive white walls and tall stone supports with elaborate etchings across them.
The exterior truly conveyed ‘ancient’- a befitting theme for a museum centralized around fossilized creatures.

“Woah…I knew Oreburgh was a mining town, but I didn’t expect this.”

Q and Grendel both stared on in awe at the well-oiled machine that was Oreburgh.
It wasn’t necessarily a town that had originally peeked the duos interest very much, and this totally blew their expectations out of the water.

"There's no wrong moment friend. Not all are great. Some aren't happy, but none are wrong" Dolan said snapping a picture of some burmy hanging from a tree.

"Yeah. Hellooo! Hellooooo hellooooooo hellooooooooo..." Dolan said trying to imitate an echo.

Dolan got excited when they saw the dark tunnel stretching deeper into the caves. He ran into the darkness taking pictures. He didn't go far into the darkness as he still wished to travel with Quintin, and he had no intention in straying too far from his goal to reach Oreburgh City.

They eventually saw a light. A picture here. A picture there. A picture anywhere Dolan saw fit to take one.

"Fossils! Dinosaurs! Fossils and dinosaurs! Ancient fossils and dinosaurs! the picture opportunities Quintin! Stuff to see. Stuff to learn. Stuff to partake in. and the food! Oh the food they might just have..." Dolan said slapping his belly.

"What do you think, Aloi?" Dolan asked.

"Dit dit dittoooo!(Translation: Buildings and rocks! food and caves! and foooood!)" Aloi cheered.

"Mmmh mmmh mmmh!"

The wild boy Kura seemed to be climbing atop a big rock face, Sableye lazily resting atop his back munching a bite out of the spatula they took earlier from the bustling city. They were out of that place now, headed East. After all, the underground was much easier to access on the other side of this Rocky Mountain. Oreburgh was much lower to the ground and was only a few dozen good swings from the underground.

"Ho Hup!"

He jumped over the pinnacle of the mountain, skidding down the rocky down hill. Another town came into view, Oreburgh to be exact. As he skid down the mountain, he leaped to the nearest structure, a house. Landing on the roof on all fours, he acted like an alley cat, leaping from roof to roof. He leaped to the third roof when a rather stand offish spearow met him.

"Kraww!" It chirped brashly, not budging.

Kura went to a halt, looking down at the oddly confident bird.

"Pfffft!"

He snorted at the bird, thinking it was all that in a chip. He swiped the bird, sending it sqwaking in pain over to the left. He and Sableye held their bellies in laughter, that's when Kura's foot slipped on the side of the sleek polemart rooftop.

"Wah!"

Clutching the roof with a hand as he dangled down, he attempted to get up, finding the sleek roof difficult to get up from. That's when the same spearow from before walked forward, positioning itself right at Kura's hand. It looked at the hand with a deadpanned expression, before looking down at Kura. Kura

Kura shook his head.

The spearow nodded.

*peck!*

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...."

*Thump!*

The odd yet satisfying mix of new and old that Oreburgh was only accentuated by the fact that the town was tied together with wide, dirt roads, not consisting of any pathways or automobiles.
While it was a rather populated town, the tightly-packed housing style meant the actual size of Oreburgh wasn’t that great, so people were able to freely walk anywhere they needed to go.

“Nice place. Other than the stuffy air, I could understand why people stay here.”

“Teddi…”

Grendel nodded in agreement, hopping off Q’s shoulder to take a look around for himself.
Unfortunately, the pairs moment of ‘taking it all in’ was interrupted by the sound of a distant scream. They simultaneously whipped their heads to the left, just barely catching site of a boy, about half a block away, slam into the dirt road with a surprising amount of force.

“Ursa!”

Always ready to be the hero, Grendel immediately darted for the downed boy, leaving Q with no option but to give chase.

“Uh…hey dude, you alright? Looked like you hit pretty hard there.”

The burgundy haired boy yelled out as he slowed to a stop, now only a few feet away from the human volleyball.

"Eeeeeeh...?"

The world was upside down, and so an upside down stranger approached. Kura corrected their head rightside up, the rest of their body following suit. They didn't respond to the query. Instead, they crawled on all fours toward him, sniffing intrusively to his chest.

*Sniff* *Sniff*

"Weird, furry..."

They smelled the scent of the Teddiursa, Sableye poking up from the back of his hoodie as if he were spring loaded.

"Sableye!"

"No good."

Kura then went over to rummage through his pockets, trying to stick his hands in them despite not being welcome to do so. Sableye leaped over to unzip the backpack as well, trying to see what was inside.

Almost in unison, Q and Grendel gave Kura and Sableye a hard shove respectively, not even giving them a chance to slip into his pockets.

“Teddiursa…”

Grendel, the adorable little teddy bear, stared on at the Sableye with its teeth exposed and it’s claws extended. Clearly, the young Teddiursa was far more prepared for this encounter than his trainer.

“Hey! Keep your hands off me! I come over to make sure you’re not hurt and you try to rob me? What’s your deal?”

Q gave his Pokémon a passing glance, feeling a combination of surprise and thankfulness. He was glad to see his Pokémon so ready to defend him, but he was shocked to see the little guy…like that.

Upon being shoved, the boy shook his head and snorted in displeasure. He cocked his head and snarled, not exactly loving the physical confrontation.

"No hurt, want stuff!"

He knew they had a bag of things on him, that mean he was hoarding his own goods. And he wouldn't share? How selfish! No wonder he didn't live up on the surface, everyone was so rude!

Sableye meanwhile took one glance at the Teddiursa and cracked up laughing. It took them putting up a fight as a joke, not actually taking it seriously. He would waltz over on the dirt covered path, then pull on her ears to tease them. Grendel was certainly not a threat to the little imp, or at least it thought so.

“Then go home and get your own stuff, ya weirdo. These are my supplies.”

Q turned to continue accompanying Dolan through the city, when he caught site of something that made the color drain from his face.
Grendel, having gone beat red with anger at this point, kicked off the ground and charged at Sebleye with surprising speed, it’s claws cloaked in the fierce, white energy given off by Scratch.

“Return!”

Acting quickly, Q pulled out Grendel’s pokeball and called the angered pokemon back.
Grendels body was cloaked in red light as he sailed through the air towards his target, not having a chance to reach Sableye before being converted to energy which briefly washed over Kura’s Pokémon.
