Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Adventures: Hareta and His Squad

IMG_7415.jpeg

After a long journey of collecting gym badges, fighting team galactic, and duking it out with legendary Pokémon of time and space, Hareta wound up with many stories to tell and a whole lot of new friends he found along the way. Each one helping him in their own way and he helping them in kind.

Empoleon: Hareta's starter pokemon, Empoleon was Piplup during most of his journey because of the Everstone that was placed on him since the beginning of their trip. Empoleon has always been one that's very proud of itself, and started off extremely uncooperative, making Hareta do the fighting instead of it. After several trials and tribulations, the two learned to work together in battle as equals rather than trainer and pokemon, both willing to sling blows together instead of one or the other standing on the sidelines.

Luxray: Caught as a shinx just north of Jublife City, Luxray was a bit of a late bloomer. Always willing to lend a hand in their early time with Hareta, being instrumental in clearing Valley Windworks after Team Galactic cut the power. They've helped be a good technical mon, but tends to get overwhelmed easily by much larger enemies. She was the last one to evolve, evolving at the Sinnoh League tourney mid battle against Koya, his rival.

Misdreavus: Caught in Eterna Forest, this little ghost has a mischievous streak. She loves to scare anyone at any time, friend or foe. Indiscriminately scaring anyone in sight with Astonish, she caught even the most seasoned trainers off guard, even Hareta can't fully predict where she will go next. Though she can buckle down and fight technical if she needs to, knowing clever moves like Spite and Skill Swap to preform an unexpected combo with Hareta's plans.

Lucario: Hatched from an egg he received at Iron Island, Hareta's Riolu is pretty straightforward, going right to end a fight the best way he sees how; fast tactics and a hard punch. It evolved baffling Candice's Regirock, managing to knock out the golem and pass the trail of Regigigas.

Regigigas: Hareta's big power player, Regigigas was a fateful encounter Hareta had at snowpoint temple, facing down the berserk golem after it defeated the three other Regis and attacked everything in sight. The two had a harsh battle, Hareta himself getting smashed into a wall by the titan, but after a heart to heart and a close tie, Hareta passed out and Regigigas acknowledged Hareta's heart and prowess and chose him to be it's trainer. Stoic yet violent, Regigigas does exactly what it's told with little deviation. However, when Hareta's life is in critical danger from someone, it will rush to end the life of whoever is endangering him.

Minun: His last catch from an egg given to him by his dad, Minun is a cheery and positive ray of sunshine that is a lover, not a fighter. They have practically no battling moves whatsoever, usually cheering on their friends with electric Pom poms and charming the foes that try to attack it. But Minun has cinched key wins for the squad with well timed thunder waves and helping hands.

The Noon of Green, The Process of Understanding - Lobotomy Corporation

IMG_0606.jpeg

"In the end, they were bound to life. We existed only to express despair and ire."

The Ordeal of Green are robots given life and abandoned by their creator. They could feel and could suffer, yet had no purpose. No tasks to be done nor instructions. They viewed existence as pain. They tried to find purpose in their lives, thinking that if they could build a tower that reaches the sky that they may somehow find who made them and new meaning. But when their handiwork was completed - they found nothing.

Failing to find purpose, the despair filled machines sought retribution. They retrofitted themselves for combat, turning their tower into a weapon and changing their bodies with a new designated purpose - to make others feel the despair they feel.

The Process of Understanding are heavily armored machines that have been rigged to cause as much damage as possible towards the defenseless. They will target clusters of population and slowly creep closer, shelling with their cannon arm and slicing through mobs with their saw arm.

Due to their thick hide, arms fire is ineffective, a whole firing line being required to stand a chance against one of these robots. In a situation in which they risk damage, they can fold in their bodies to hide their joints, allowing only their thick armor to be visible, continuing their attack despite the heavy resistance.

The Tale of Three Birds - Lobotomy Corporation

Once upon a time, three happy birds lived in a warm and lush forest. The birds had no names, though the creatures of the forest would call them Big Bird, Long Bird, and Small Bird. Everyone lived freely and happily together in the peaceful forest. The birds wanted the forest to be safe more than anyone else, that way creatures from the outside could visit and have fun.

It was a warm and sunny afternoon when a stranger visited the peaceful forest. He was a traveler, pioneer, and prophet, but at the same time, he was a nobody. He wanted to enter the forest, but the birds found him suspicious, so they didn't let him in. The stranger, angered, told the birds as he left:

“Soon, a tragedy will befall the forest. It will be tainted with misdeeds and evil, and there will be constant conflict. The tragedies will only stop when a terrible beast appears and devours everything. The sun and moon will shine upon the forest no longer; the forest will never go back to what it was before.”

The birds worried about the prophecy. What if conflicts really break out and a beast shows up to harm the forest just like the man said? That's when the birds decided to become the guardians of the forest. They loved this forest more than anyone else did, so they wanted to protect the creatures living in the forest and keep the peace.

Big Bird, with its many eyes, decided to watch over the forest for intruders. For Big Bird's eyes could see very far, and see things we cannot see. Then somebody said, “But what if the beast shows up in the middle of the night, when the sky is dark and everyone is asleep?” Worried, Big Bird burned all of its feathers to make an everlasting lamp. Now the creatures of the forest were under Big Bird's constant watch, day and night.

To keep the forest's peace, Long Bird weighed the sins of those who entered the forest. For Long Bird's scale was fair and just, and could weigh any and all kinds of sin. Then somebody said, “But what if the scale doesn't tip in either direction someday?” Worried, Long Bird made a scale that always tipped to one side. That way every judgement would yield a clear verdict.

Small Bird decided to punish the creatures' wrongdoings with its beak. Then somebody said, “But your beak is so small, no one would find it hurtful.” Worried, Small Bird tore its mouth wide so it could swallow any creature in one bite.

No one could visit the forest anymore, and bad rumors about the forest began to spread outside. “I heard terrible things happen to any creature that enters the forest.” “The Big Bird is always watching the creatures of the forest, there's no freedom.” “The Long Bird's scale isn't fair at all.” “The Small Bird's punishment is so scary.”

The birds got upset. “We work so hard to protect the forest; why doesn't anyone appreciate our effort?” Fewer and fewer visitors came to the forest, more and more creatures were complaining, fights broke out daily, and yet the birds continued to work even harder to make the forest peaceful again, but... “No, this forest is so vast and wide, the three of us aren't enough to protect all of it.” “But there is no creature to protect this forest but us.”

“If we combined our power, we could be stronger.”

The Apocalypse Bird

The day when Big Bird's eyes that could see hundreds of kilometers away, Long Bird who could judge any sin, and Small Bird's mouth that could devour everything united into one, darkness fell upon the forest. Creatures screamed in terror and fear at the sight of the bird, and the forest soon fell into mayhem. Then, in the middle of all the chaotic cries, someone shouted: “It's the beast! A big, scary monster lives in the black, dusky forest!”

The beast is here? The three birds, now as one, looked around but there was no one to be seen. The bird began to prowl the forest, looking for the beast. The forest would be in trouble if the beast really showed up. But there was nothing. There were no creatures, no sun and moon, and no beast. All that was left was just a bird and the Black Forest. Since then, there were only nights dark as pitch.

Rumor says there is a terrible beast in the Black Forest where no one lives.

Boboiboy Galaxy- Thorn (Redraw)

IMG_1850.jpeg

Thorn, this time with a Tumbosaur with him!

Tumbosaurs are plant based creatures originating from planet Rimbara, where the forests hunt flesh. Only active during daylight hours, Tumbosaurs are hyper carnivores that typically have a low survival instinct and carry on satisfying their hunger first and foremost. On their planet, they can come in massive swarms whilst the forest itself ensnares unwanted visitors. Thorn, inspired from his time there, figured out how to create his own Tumbosaurs and can use them in combat, boosting his arsenal substantially!
