Edward winced as the Dragapult went down. Though he knew it hadn't stood much of a chance against the Ice and Fairy typed Ninetales, he had been rooting for the Dragon type all the same. That reminds me - I should ask for any tips on training Noro if I get the chance. Returning to his notebook, he finished marking down information about the Dragapult and the Lucario from earlier - that mega evolution would certainly be a pain to battle against... - and continued writing about the Ninetales, as well as the battle in general. I really should have given myself more space to write. With the way this battle is going, my notes might just be too cramped to read properly. Indeed, the pages he had written on so far were incredibly messy, with the normal notes sprawling into the margins and the further analyses in the margins creeping onto the rest of the page as he noted every relevant detail and wrote some comments to himself. That is, if I can make it to the end of this battle without my hand dropping the pencil...

With two rapid brawls right after another, Ozona had been making notes, obviously. Some included saving Buck's Sketch for a defensive move, and making a kind of shield with Fluffle's Fire Spin. But still, these two battling prodigies knew their stuff. Hopefully there'd be another participant to train against. Buck had brushed the fog away from himself with his tail, regardless of it feeling good to his Trainer. "It's only gonna escalate. More notes to take here...." , Ozona muttered.

Winston yawned slightly, his silver hair unsettled. His checked his belt for his pokemon. Good, they were all there, except... Ambipom! Winston started panicking and ran anxiously up and down the aisles. His old legs ached but that could wait. For now all he needed to do was find that darn ambipom. On occasion, he could've sworn he heard the distinct cry of one, but he brushed it off. Hallucinations, that was all.
He cleared his throat, bile from the stress building up.

"Oh dear, oh dear, where's it gone...? Curse your old legs, Winston, curse you!"
Suddenly, a shining pokeball rolled in front of him.
"A-Ambipom? Is that you...? Please say it is..."

He ran, legs aching more than ever, towards the gleaming ball which lay mockingly in front of him. He clutched the ball which lay there and held it to his chest as if it were some sort of precious treasure.
"Oh thank Arceus! It is so good to have you back!"
He clicked the ball back onto his belt and took his seat once again. He yawned and started reading "Encyclopedia Pokémon"

Unfortunately for Neon, he had been in GALAR when he received the invitation, so, likewise, it took quite a lot of traveling to get there.
He was flying on his Charizard, and, it was quite a long flight, if he could say himself.
Neon repeatedly scanned the information on the invite.
"Yada yada, battle tower,masters, spire, oh, so that's where it is!"
Lucario, who was sitting next to Neon on Charizard, rolled it's eyes.
Neon spotted the Skyboat, and was petrified to see nobody else was there.
"Oh great, I'm pretty sure we're late! Charizard, let's get down there, quick!"
Charizard nodded, then flew straight down, going downward at a high speed.
They landed with a dust could, the sound of a pokemon returning to it's pokeball was heard twice.
Neon rushed over to the only skyboat remaining, gave his ticket to a person standing in a booth nearby, and got on the skyboat.

He then arrived, sprinted to the hotel, checked in, and unpacked.
He then ran over to a stage, or stadium, Neon wasn’t completely sure, where everybody seemed to be, and quietly took a seat, not wanting to get noticed, considering he was probably late.
He seemed to have missed part of the battle, but he saw a quick recap of the battle on his Rotom Phone on the app for this exact sort of thing.
"Hm, I see one of them also has a Lucario.”
Neon looked to Lucario.
“This should be fun, right?”

Lucario seemed to be making mental notes on Lucas's battling style, then nodded.
After watching the recap, Neon let the rest of his main team to see the battle currently on stage.

Winston heard the distant swoop of a Charizard's wings, a very distinct sound. He raised an eyebrow, curious of the sound before realizing there was a rider atop it.

"Greetings, fellow trainer!" He called out into the sky, which evidently went unheard. "Ah well, I tried, eh?" He asked the Honchkrow which had suddenly emerged from its ball.

"Kraaaw!" Called out the bird Pokémon, before soaring off into the sky.
Winston rolled his eyes, sighed and grabbed another book from the shelf, opening it up and beginning to read. Before long he was fast asleep in the chair.

After a while, Winston's alarm went off. He awoke with a start, shut off the alarm and ran off to the stadium, ensuring all his pokeballs were on his belt. Lo and behold, when he arrived at the stadium, his faithful Honchkrow was sitting in his seat, keeping it reserved presumably. Luckily, he had arrived just in time to see the beginning of a new match.

<Celeste>
“And moving right along to the next match, Ninetales versus Toxapex! BEGIN!”

<Battle Momentum Shift --> Toxapex>

The Hail began to lighten and eventually stopped within a few moments. But it didn’t matter now, the temperature of the arena was still on the decline as Kayo’s entire body began to glow with Ice energy.

Xoa immediately hunkered down using Baneful Bunker and hid within her tentacles as she was suddenly encased within a large ice crystal, Kayo’s Freeze-Dry was no joke. Ceres’s melodies now were slower and longer. Xoa roared in anger and effortlessly broke out of the ice block then leaping into the air, sending large shards of ice at Kayo and attacking with Sludge Bomb.

Kayo glowed green with Protect, soaking the damage without harm as Ice Shards formed around her, she began her endless barrage of Ice Shards again. Keeping in tempo with Kayo’s barrage, Xoa began shooting out massive amounts of Poison Stings out from her tentacles matching each of Kayo’s Ice Shards.

Kayo was utilizing her superior speed to the fullest, running circles around Xoa, but Xoa didn’t seem too bothered, she was calm and collected. She stopped shooting out Poison Stings and hunkered down once more with Baneful Bunker, but this time the spikes on the outside of her protective tentacles began to glow a vibrant purple before launching out showers of Toxic Spikes.

Kayo had to stop and use Light Screen to prevent herself from being covered with the Toxic Spikes. Xoa rapidly shot out three layers of the Spikes in rapid succession before she stopped and moved right along into her next attack. As soon as she emerged from behind her tentacles, her entire body began to glow with Poison energy and she hopped slightly into the air and slammed back down into the ground releasing a massive Sludge Wave.

<Battle Momentum Shift --> Ninetales>

Kayo used Protect once more as the Sludge Wave hit her, but was unprepared for Xoa now descending down on her from above. Xoa had followed her Sludge Wave attack and used it as a way to pin Kayo so she could get close. The ends of Xoa’s tentacles were glowing with Poison energy as she descended. Kayo began blasting Icy Wind upward into Xoa, it didn’t do much damage but it did slow her enough for Kayo to fully charge a Freeze-Dry and unleash it onto Xoa, critically hitting her actual body and not her protective tentacles. The temperature of the arena was frigid now, the flowing lakes and ponds had completely frozen solid, the grassy hills and plains were chilled and stiff

Xoa fought through the pain and pushed through with her attack, slamming into Kayo with a vicious assault of Poison Jabs and Venoshocks.

Suddenly from within the dust cloud of the impact site, a frozen solid Xoa shot out by a tremendously powerful Frost Breath at an amazing speed before being stopped by a rock, completely shattering the rock, but she remained encased in ice. Kayo emerged from the dust cloud, limping, badly poisoned, and fighting to remain standing, but looked super angry. The rainbow colored lights her Aurora Veil began glowing around her again and shattered like stained glass as the effect wore off, without it Kayo would have been a goner.

“Kayo, set up and pass.” Celeste said with a tone of sadness in her voice. Her team of Pokémon settled down some hearing her words and they all nodded at Kayo. Kayo nodded back in return without looking back. With the last remaining bits of strength and energy she began glowing bright light blue as a transparent blue and white tinted bubble formed around her protecting her, and soon, the rest of her team with Safeguard. Kayo collapsed onto the ground right after, succumbing to the poison.

“A Double KO! Ladies, Gentlemen, and Pokémon, this is a rare occasion indeed!” the announcer shouted as the Jumbotrons around the arena replayed the final exchange between Kayo and Xoa ending with Xoa was ejected from the dust cloud as a block of ice. The dust cloud was too thick and obscured anything that happened inside.

Celeste returned Kayo to her Pokéball, “You did perfectly, rest now.” Celeste said replacing the ball onto her wristband where Kayo was always placed. The four remaining Pokémon around Celeste cheered for their fallen teammate one last time before settling down and waiting for Celeste’s final choice.

<Ceres>
Ceres returned Xoa with a tear in her eye. “I’m sorry….” She had misread Celeste and Kayo, and failed Xoa resulting in her loss. To the uninitiated, the battle would have seen close, but the reality was, Xoa was in complete control and dominance, winning should have been easy. Ceres was able to see everything now, Kayo had been setting up to take out Xoa, Ferris, or Moegami during her battle with Snips. Ceres watched the replay of the final moments of the battle on the Jumbotron. The arena had been chilled to a ridiculously low temperature throughout the entire time Kayo had been battling, the final Freeze-Dry hit Xoa hard enough that her Poison Jab’s power was weakened, that along with Kayo’s Aurora Veil, allowed Kayo to withstand the Poison Jab and Venoshocks long enough for Kayo to use Sheer Cold. With how cold the arena got along with the final blast of cold from the Freeze-Dry, Kayo’s Sheer Cold was almost instant, and with how close Xoa got, accuracy was not an issue, Xoa practically fell into the attack. The dust cloud they were in was not dust at all, it was actually the aftermath of Kayo’s Sheer Cold, leaving a cloud of near absolute-zero temperature air.

The sound of the crowd erupted as Celeste sent out the last Pokémon for the exhibition match. Sylvia eagerly skipped her way into the arena and sat down waiting patiently for her opponent. Her ribbons were slightly more extended but still posed elegantly around her. Sylvia’s confidence in battle is only rivaled by her best friend Lucas.

Ceres sighed and took a few more drink of water, Celeste was not making things easy, and why would she? Sylvia was Celeste’s official starter Pokémon as an Eevee, with Lucas being the first Pokémon she caught, as a Riolu. “Very well then, Moegami, take the stage….” The Striker Pokémon nodded excitedly and walked out onto the arena carrying a certain level of pride and confidence.

The Toxic Spikes around Sylvia failed o activate due to Kayo’s Safeguard. Sylvia was seemingly smiling at Moegami.

“Our final match of the night ladies, gentlemen, and Pokémon! Sylveon versus Cinderace! These are the starting Pokémon of both of these Spire Masters, they are really closing this battle out with a BANG! AND BEGIN!”

<Battle Momentum Shift --> Cinderace>

Right as the battle began Sylvia stood up and performed a rather strange looking dance and flourish with her ribbons that ended in what appeared to be a full-fledged dab towards Moegami. Upon closer inspection her ribbons were slightly glowing during the gesture.

Ceres began playing her music, this time was a quicker paced militaristic-like march, in which Moegami’s feet instantly ignited in brilliant flames and stomped the ground in front of him. A small set of three rocks were bounced into the air to which Moegami skillfully juggled all thee, igniting all three, and kicked them out in rapid succession, in a mere manner of seconds he fired three Pyro Balls.

Sylvia extended her ribbons further and had them poised so the four ends of them pointed to the center forming a rough X shape in front of her. A brilliant pink transparent wall appeared, Reflect. Sylvia had angled it in a way that when the first Pyro Ball was reflected it would hit the second. As the first two Pyro Balls exploded in a spectacular explosion of fire and molten rock, Sylvia stood her ground and used Protect as the third Pyro Ball struck her harmlessly but still covered in smoke.

“SYLVIE!” Sylvia’s voice echoed in the arena as countless bright pink colored stars began shooting out at Moegami, Pixilate turned Swift into a Fairy type attack.

Moegami’s body flashed a light purple of Psychic energy as his own ability, Libero, kicked in and he used Agility to dodge the Swift attack.

Just like Kayo before with her constant barrage of Ice Shards, Sylvia was doing the same with Swift, all four of her active ribbons were glowing brightly with Fairy energy and with a swipe of a single one, a small barrage of Swift would shoot out, she did this succession resulting in a never ending barrage.

Moegami did not seem stressed at all by this, instead he ran faster and faster around the arena dodging the fairy stars. His feet were still ignited scorching the ground where ever he ran, and setting things on fire that could be lit. Then like he flip of a switch, Moegami changed directions and charged towards Sylvia’s position his body flashed bright red as he swapped back to a fire type, his whole body ignited in flames.

Sylvia immediately stopped Swift when she saw Moegami change directions and with the still charged up ribbons erected a Reflect just in time as Moegami’s Flame Charge hit, but it was not over, they both knew that these types of exchanges between them was a game of rock-paper-scissors, and chicken. Sylvia’s Reflect faded after absorbing the Flame Charge, leaving her in melee distance of Moegami, he used Fire Punch and it hit a Protected Sylvia, then attempted a sweeping Blaze Kick to which Sylvia gracefully back flipped over to avoid the attack. In mid-flip Sylvia’s entire body emitted bright Fairy energy and an explosion of light erupted from her entire body in Dazzling Gleam.

This time it was Moegami’s turn Protect. When the light faded Sylvia was gone, there was a hole of where she should have been. Sylvia had used Dig.

Moegami hopped high into the air with Bounce and projected himself even higher by breathing out a downward Fire Blast, aiming it mainly at the hole on the ground that Sylvia dug.

Sylvia emerged from the ground before the Fire Blast hit and erected a Light Screen to protect herself from the powerful fire attack, crouching low to withstand its power. Moegami suddenly appeared next to her using Agility and flashed white as he switched to a Normal type and Mega Kicked Silvia on the side.

Silvia took the direct hit and was sent rocketing and skipping across the arena before slamming into an upturned rock and cracking it as it stopped her. Silvia slid onto the ground still standing but looking like she was on her last leg. Just then, a bright shooting star streaked over the arena lighting up the arena even more. Sylvia began to glow and she healed up almost completely save for some minor scratches from the Wish. She smiled slyly and mischievously at Moegami as she dab-ed at him again with her ribbons faintly glowing.

<Battle Momentum Shift --> Sylveon>

Moegami and Ceres knew that Sylvia was the true attrition battler, Sylvia may seem cute, friendly, and overall kind and gentle, but in reality everyone who has battled Celeste in the past have the hardest time dealing with the little pink Eeveeloution.

Sylvia jumped into the air with the assistance of her ribbons before refocusing them into an X in front of her and firing off a small but very concentrated Shadow Ball.

Moegami flashd yellow as the flames on his feet faded and instead surged with electricity. He quickly formed an Electro Ball and kicked it to counter the Shadow Ball. The two spheres collided in the air nullifying one another in a large cloud of smoke again, but it was quickly blown away as Sylvia’s voice echoed loudly in the arena overpowering the entire crowd. The sound emanated from Sylvia as she glowed Pink with Fairy energy her ribbons swirling around her, her voice spiked for a second and a powerful invisible directed force pulsed from the Fairy type at Moegami at near lightning speeds. Moegami barely managed to Protect before the force hit. Sylvia’s voice however still rung in the arena increasing in volume, she was holding a singular note. Another spike in her voice and another invisible force pulsed and shot towards Moegami, even stronger and faster this time. Moegami was forced to move out of the way. The invisible force shot past him and exploded a collapsed piece of building that was part of the arena. The echo in the arena go even louder a third time, it was loud enough now that Moegami was forced to cover his ears. He looked at Sylvia who was still emanating the noise and glowing even brighter with Fairy energy, she seemed so happy and peaceful completely un-phased by the sound. A third spike in her voice and the sound got even louder. The invisible force pulsed, and another invisible projectile shot towards Moegami, the projectile was more like a massive shockwave than a projectile.

Moegami was running out of options, Sylvia’s Echoed Voice was something that countless Pokémon had fallen to, including members of his own team. His guidance from Ceres was gone and he was on his own for now until he can shut Sylvia down. Watching the massive Echoed Voice attack rapidly approaching him, tearing apart the arena like paper as it traveled, Moegami crouched low and braced himself. He took in a deep breath as his body flashed bright red, switching back to a Fire type. Time slowed down even more to him, his entire body ignited in brilliant flames. With his hands still holding his ears down, he began to charge forward at an incredible speed. Moegami’s Flare Blitz hit the force of the Echoed Voice. He tried to push his way through but felt he was getting pushed back, his flames were failing. Drawing from his primal instinct to survive he charged forward the best he could, keeping his eyes on his target, he exploded with renewed flames. With a guttural roar, Moegami managed to push through the Echoed Voice, but his triumph was short lived as Sylvia’s voice spiked for a fourth time, the volume getting louder for the final time, and the Echoed Voice that pulsed out of her was like an expanding bubble.

Moegami was too far invested into Flare Blitz to properly cancel to use Protect, but he was not giving up. The flames of his Flare Blitz were greatly weakened when he pushed through the Echoed Voice, so he decided to preserve what flames he had left and began to charge Protect as his body flashed white. He hoped the residual flames and the half-baked Protect would be enough to mitigate the Echoed Voice enough for him to follow through with an attack.

The fourth Echoed Voice hit Moegami harder than a flying airplane. It stripped away his remaining flames like nothing and he took a severe hit through the half-baked Protect, sustaining heavy damage. What was worse, was that the Echoed Voice had stopped, and Moegami was now twisted up and intertwined within Sylvia’s ribbons. She had dashed forward after the fourth Echoed Voice shot out and caught Moegami in midair after his flames and Protect had been stripped. Sylvia slammed Moegami into the ground head first stunning and dazing Moegami, using the downward force of the Slam to lift herself into the air. Sylvia released Moegami as she seemed to levitate and glow brightly with Fairy energy as she raised her four ribbons into the air framing them around the moon in the sky.

“SYLVIE!” Sylvia shouted as she seemed the throw a massive moon at Moegami with her ribbons. The Moonblast collided into the ground crushing Moegami below into a crater. Sylvia landed as a shooting star shot past overhead and she began to glow as her Wish healed the rest of her injuries, Sylvia remained focused and ready, her jovial disposition was completely gone.

“CIN DERRR!” Moegami’s voice echoed through the arena from below the Moonblast. The Moonblast began to rise out of the crater, Moegami was on his back pushing the Moonblast out with his feet coated in flames.

Sylvia wasted no time, her ribbons flashed as she prepared another Wish while moving them in front of her into an X. Dark purple energy gathered in the center of the X as a large Shadow Ball formed and shot out, but it was too late.

<Battle Momentum Shift --> Moegami>

Moegami barely managed to kick the Moonblast out, in fact he managed to kick it out of the arena, and it exploded into a shower of white and pink sparks. Obeying the slight tonal shifts and rhythmic changes to Ceres’s music, he knew that an attack was incoming and preemptively charged and used Protect as he finished pushing the Moonblast out. The Shadow Ball hit him with no damage. Still obeying the sounds and rhythems Ceres’s music Moegami kicked up a rock as his body flashed red, his feet lit ablaze as did the stone light into a large ball of fire and he kicked the Pyro Ball out of the smoke with enough force that it left a perfect hole. He kicked up two more rocks and shot out two more Pyro Balls in succession before he flared with purple with psychic energy and used Agility to reposition.

Sylvia easily evaded the three Pyro Balls, as they were only aimed in her general direction, the speed of which they came flying at her was more startling, but nevertheless, the Pyro Balls had done their job, Sylvia had been displaced to a less favorable position, and in a match up where Moegami’s speed was so much greater than Sylvia, her positioning needed to be perfect. She was on higher alert and focus, there are two abilities that Moegami has that can, and will, take her out. Iron Head and the more devastating Gunk Shot.

<Battle Momentum Shift --> Sylveon>

Sylvia flashed green again with Protect as Moegami suddenly appeared next to her with an attempted Mega Kick like before, but was blocked. Sylvia glowed with Fairy energy once more as she slammed her body into Moegami in a close ranged Quick Attack, wrapping Moegami in her ribbons again in doing so.

Moegami was taking no chances this time and began to Overheat, setting himself ablaze and turning himself into the core of a huge inferno. Sylvia was caught within it but her grip tightened and Sylvia bit down onto Moegami’s leg using Draining Kiss to sustain herself.

As Moegami’s Overheat faded, his body flashed a lighter purple as he looked like he was about to throw up. Sylvia knew right away that Moegami was about to fire off Gunk Shot, so in response her body flashed pink as sphere of bright yellow, white, and pink, quickly gathered in front of her mouth Pixilate had turned Sylvia’s Hyper Beam into a Fairy type attack. A light blue sphere of light shattered and faded to nothing as Kayo’s Safeguard wore off. Normally their battles were not this scrappy, but this was a special occasion and both their trainers were just experimenting and so were their Pokémon.

Due to the energy that Sylvia had just drained from Moegami Sylvia’s Hyper Beam charged far faster than Moegami’s Gunk Shot.

There was a bright flash of pink and white light as Sylvia blasted Moegami full on with the Fairy Hyper Beam, she released him as the beam was fired, sending him away with the attack. The Hyper Beam was extremely powerful, annihilating anything that was caught in its path carving out a deep trench in the ground. Ceres was forced to sidestep along with her remaining Pokémon team rapidly clearing a path as the Hyper Beam blew past them with immense force that Ceres’s Milotic had to hold her with her tail to keep her from getting blown off her feet. Moegami was at the end of the beam before he hit the arena wall behind them blowing out a huge crater. He was motionless and out for the count.

Sylvia stood her ground looking completely exhausted and weary. A bright shooting star flew overhead and Sylvia began glowing white and looked restored, as her Wish was fulfilled. She spun her ribbons around and dabbed one last time at her opponent as the announcer’s voice echoed in the arena.

“Cinderace is unable to battle! Match set! Celeste Masters is the winner of the battle!”

Every layer of the LED screens turned to Celeste’s colors as confetti began to fall. The crowd roared and cheered. Sylvia ran back to Celeste and hopped into her arms as the two waved at the crowd. The rest of Celeste’s team leaping with joy, even though it was only an exhibition match a victory against another Spire Master was still something of a spectacle.

Ceres returned Moegami and smiled as she looked back at Celeste and Sylvia. The two trainers walked into the center of the completely wrecked area and shook hands, the two were grinning from ear to ear as their remaining Pokémon lined up and greeted each other.

“That was so close!” Celeste shouted over the cheering crowd of the stadium.

Ceres nodded, “I’d never thought it would have come down to a coin toss! I guess I got unlucky this time!” she laughed. Ceres knelt down in front of Sylvia and scratched her behind the chin and pat her gently, “You are quite amazing, yea?”

Sylvia affectingly rubbed back into Ceres’s hand in approval.

Nevan joined the two Spire Masters in the arena shaking both their hands and congratulated each of them on a spectacular battle. “Now ladies, gentlemen, and Pokémon!” her voice echoed in the arena, “I hope that battle has inspired you all for what’s to be expected here at the Battle Spire! The opening Ceremony is officially over! Please exit the arena in a neat and order fashion, and if you would rather fly out, please be cautious of others! Now go on and get some rest! Or perhaps some of you are eager to battle now? Either way, enjoy yourselves! And remember to always, RISE TO THE CHALLENGE!” Nevan spoke giving the quick closing speech as she knows that every trainer is eager to head out for battles, get dinner, or to rest for the next day.

Celeste and Ceres nodded at one another one last time before turning around and walking out of the arena.

The arena had already started its self-repair systems regenerating the terrain slowly back to how it was before the battle.

<Kari>
Kari had been on the edge of her seat the entire time watching everything unfold before her. It was a delight like no other. Several of her own Pokémon were in awe. They were no strangers to Celeste’s team of Pokémon, but they had never witnessed them battling an opponent of equal skill and power, it was daunting in a way. “WOW! That was so awesome!” Kari screamed, stretching and standing up. “I can’t wait to battle, and eventually challenge those Spire Masters.” She looked at her team, they looked at her with confidence and nodded. “We’ll get there some day.” Kari said to herself looking down at the arena.

The scar left by Sylvia’s Hyper Beam served as a reminder of just how powerful each of the Spire Masters were. Each battle lasted maybe five to seven minutes tops, yet so much destruction was sown, so many attacks, and the matches seemed to be won within a singular instant. Which actually had Kari wondering in the back of her mind, how did their Pokémon manage to use so many moves so quickly and rapidly? They seemed to use multiple moves at once with how fast some of their attacks were flying out of them… and their ability to time near perfect Protects with nearly no charge up time. Images of Lucas and Snips’s battle flashed into her mind, though it was one of the shorter battles in comparison to the other, it was definitely the most volatile of all three battles.

Kari felt her phone vibrate in her kangaroo pocket of her jumper. She pulled it out and it was a text message from Celeste.

Tomorrow morning, wanna do breakfast?”

Kari grinned and replied YES.

(Sorry it took so long, the ceremony is over and the RPis basically opened up now!

Ajax was incredibly impressed by the skills showcased by his fellow Spire-Masters, Ceres and Celeste had been unbelievably close throughout the match up, at times even he couldn’t tel who was ahead.
“I believe it may be my shine to step into the spotlight” he smiled downing the last of his Whiskey. Slipping his jacket back on and exiting the Spire-Master’s box, pulling collar up and doing his best to blend into the crowds of fans as they left the stadium. The battle had finally showcased what he had been saying all along ‘Spire-Masters are well and truly on another level to anyone else here’. With his belief in the battling abilities of Spires reaffirmed he pulled his phone from his pocket, typed a brief message hit send and left the chaos to unfold.

<Hyōga and Emily Jane>
As the battle wrapped up between Ceres and Celeste, a battle of a different kind also reached its conclusion. Hyōga and Emily Jane had been involved in a casual open relationship since the beginning of the previous Battle Spire season. The pair sneaking off together for moonlit dates or midnight spontaneity on more than a few occasions. This night had been no different, Ceres and Celeste’s battle had provided an interesting backdrop to their romantic evening, the pair had settled into bed for the evening not long before the battles conclusion.
*BEEP BEEP* Emily-Jane’s phone rung out with a unique ringtone, a notification of the Staff only Group chat. The message was address of Ajax bearing a simple message

“A message to any and all Battle-Masters. Those wishing to challenge me, regardless of Prestige may do so tomorrow at Sunset, at the Private Battlefield on Floor 64 of the Spire. Ajax”

Winston had been watching intently throughout the whole match, studying the battle tactics of the fighters. This oughta come in handy during my battles. He had considered just before leaving the stadium. He shrugged, took a pokeball from his belt and sent the Pokémon inside out for action. The purple monkey stared at him with cunning eyes, clapped its dual tails together, then began to climb atop a building, swinging on the polished metal pipes that lined their walls. Soon after scaling the building, it picked up a small, blue wrapped object and chucked it down at Winston. He caught it in two hands and pocketed it.

"Cheers, Ambipom!" Called out Winston to the purple, twin-tailed monkey, which jumped down to the ground and swiftly returned to its pokeball.

Nice! A rare candy! Winston thought to himself, before walking towards the seashore, mainly just to rest his old legs.

Shade was amazed at the spectacle, along with all of her Pokemon. Now satisfied, her Pokemon returned back into their PokeBalls as she received a message from a chat. Battle Ajax whenever we want tomorrow at sunset? Cool. She would have to think about that. For now though, she wanted to find out more about these Galarian Pokemon. A Cinderace and a Dragapult? She had to figure out more about them.

She messaged the chat back with #Consider me interested, Ajax# before leaving the stadium. She was heading towards the hotel, but if anyone wanted to fight her, they could just come up and talk to her. She was only walking slowly up to the residential area with her Battle Master card glowing brightly.

Meanwhile, Sheila returned her Pokemon for the night and walked back to the residential area. She didn't want to see what was going on in the chat when her phone beeped, she just wanted to rest. She won't stop people from coming up to her though, since she was a Spire Master. Her own Spire Master card shone brightly on her chest.

As for Eva, she was wanting to battle someone immediately after that spectacle. That was amazing! She ran up to the closest person to her who seemed like a participant and asked them. "Can I have a battle with you? Like a double battle, 2v2 kind of thing? Just a quick one." (OOC: Can be anyone, but please be active.)

That really was an impressive battle. Edward's head was spinning as he walked out among the throng of people. I guess it just goes to show - there's always another boundary to overcome. He stepped out into the cool evening air and quickly shook out the cramp in his right hand. At least he had taken plenty of notes to study later. The predominant factor that Edward had noticed during the battle, however, was the pace at which they progressed and changed direction: one misstep could spell instant failure for a trainer.

He was jolted out of his reverie by someone running up to him. It was a young woman, with hair in a full rainbow of colors (@Merciless Medic). "Can I have a battle with you?" she asked, "Like a double battle, 2v2 kind of thing? Just a quick one."

Edward hesitated for a moment - he really did want to head back to his room and share his notes with his team, but he would also like to get at least one win in before the end of the day - before replying.

"Why not? That was an amazing battle in there, and I'm all pumped up anyway." Morgan seemed like she wanted badly to curse something on the boat, so it might be good to let her do that now.

Eva smiled happily. "Oh, cool! So, where shall we do this...?" As she looked about, she found a battleground not too far away. "We'll battle there, then." She then ran off towards the battleground and began setting up the battle from the battle panel. "Alright... Double battle, only 2v2... Not full battle, no... Huh, that should be it. Cool. Oh. Evelyn Terra, participant. Versus..." she then realized she didn't know the guy's name. Whoops. She looked back at him to finish the rest, slight embarrassment overtaking her.

The battle concluded, Robin leaned back in his seat with a large grin on his face. That was a pretty impressive battle, to say the least. And the moves they used! So cool! The Galarian starter, Cinderace, once again using a move that Robin hadn't seen before. Making a ball of fire and kicking it like a soccer ball was pretty incredible! Robin stood up, rubbing some warmth back into his arms. That was a pretty intense chill that the Alolan Ninetails was able to whip up. Snow Warning was a pretty incredible ability. Robin put his backpack and and sword back on, and Cherry jumped up from her hiding place and into Robin's shirt. She attempted to warm herself as well.
"So, Akabane. Should we go get some dinner?" Robin asked.

@soxterluna

Neon got up from his chair.
“That was pretty impressive, right everyone?”
His Pokémon, who had also been watching, had different reactions, but most agreed.
Neon saw two trainers near a battleground, and raised an eyebrow.
“Quick, who votes to go check that out.”
Most of his Pokémon raised their hands/paws/wings, and the ones who didn’t have hands just nodded, and Neon got the message.
“Alright, let’s go check it out.”
Neon walked to the battleground, and sat down on a nearby bench, and watched things play out.

Bailey stood up after the ceremony, the battle had definitely impressed him and the two of his smaller Pokemon who were watching with him. At this point he was pretty hungry, so he decided to go get something to eat in the stadium lobby. Surely enough, there was a cafe/restaurant there, he sat down, got something to eat before noticing a battle outside. He paid for his food and headed outside to watch it unfold, sitting down he realised another trainer watching. He walked up to the fellow trainer and introduced himself, "hey, are you a fellow participant?" He asked Neon, "I'm Bailey, Unovan Elite Four and two time victor of the Unova League."

Neon looked at Bailey.
“Hey! I’m Neon, Kalos league victor and certified Elite trainer!”
He showed Bailey all his gym badges, as well as his trainer ID, which in “Class” read: Elite Trainer/Kalos League Victor.
Neon’s Lucario nodded at Bailey.
Lucario was almost always out of it’s Pokeball.
“Anyway, I’m here to watch these two battle, then I’m probably gonna go to that cafe over there.”
He pointed to the cafe/restaurant.
“Wanna watch the battle with me?”

Bailey looked at the restaurant, "yeah, that's a good idea. I just ate there, the food was pretty good." He said, "And of course I'll watch the battle with you, I was doing that anyway." He said, sitting down on the bench next to him. He found it a bit strange that he had ALL of his Pokemon out at once, especially some of the bigger ones, but he didn't think too much of it. He was just used to normally having to restrain Hydreigon around other Pokemon.

Neon thought for a moment.
“Hm, probably shouldn’t have my really big Pokémon out.”
Neon’s big pokemon, like Slaking, Dragapult, and Charizard, complained.
“Chill out guys, we all know there’s a camera in every nook and cranny in this place, we can just use my rotom phone app to tap into the feed, and watch the battle again, ‘Kay?”
Neon’s big pokemon agreed, and they all returned to their pokeballs.
The only Pokémon left out was Lucario, who was pretty much always out of it's pokeball.
“Better, and less crowded.”
Lucario agreed, and watched the battle.

"Oh, yes. Of course. Sorry." Edward walked over to the panel. "My name is Edward - Edward Thistle - but most people just shorten it to Ed." He took out Morgan's pokeball and, after a moment's thought, Dino's as well. No holding back. "Alright then!" Edward strolled to the trainer's box on his side of the field. After seeing that battle, it might be good to practice maintaining constant pressure...

"Morgan! Dino! You're up!" He tossed the two balls into the arena and watched as the Dusknoir and Haxorus materialized from their energy-based state.

Upon feeling his phone vibrate, Max winced and prepared for the worst, remembering what had happened last time. He gingerly pulled the device as if it were a bomb and pulled it out. Reading the message, the look of fear on his face disappeared. He turned to Liepard, who was resting beside him and said:
"One of those Spire guys is accepting challengers tomorrow. You up for it?"
The dark type yawned in response and flicked its tail lazily.
".....Yeah, I'm with you on that. Whole lotta trouble just to get washed in front of a huge crowd. Anyways, I'm going out for a walk. Wanna come with?"
After only a few minutes of walking, Max heard some commotion coming from a nearby outdoors arena and decided to check out what was going on, partially out of boredom and partially out of curiosity.
"Hmmm....seems like a battle's about to start. Doubles by the look of it. Hey, that girl looks familiar.....Oh yeah! She's the one who helped find Flygon!"
Max waved to Eva and called out:
"Hey there! Thanks for helping me out with Flygon! Mind if Liepard and I spectate your battle?"

After the console logged his name, Eva waltzed up to her trainer's box and threw out her Pokemon: Glacier the Glaceon and Umbra the Umbreon. The two Pokemon sneered at one another and towards the Haxorus and Dusknoir. This was going to be fun.

A holographic referee appeared as he explained the battle. "2v2 double battle. Evelyn Terra vs. Edward Thistle. Battle... COMMENCE!"

With that, the referee disappeared. The breeze blew past the plain battlefield, shooting some dust to the side. "Icy Darkness!" Yelled Eva.

Umbra emitted a powerful blast of dark aura towards the two Pokemon, while Glacier breathed out a strong gust of ice and hail and snow that was as fast as an actual blizzard in a snowstorm. The bits of snow clung to the Dark Pulse, sending them faster towards the opponents.

"Guard!" called out Edward in response to the sudden attack. Acting on his trainer's orders, Dino leaped in front of Morgan and roared, using Protect to create a shield against the attack. Furthermore, since Morgan was on the lee-side of the Axe Jaw Pokemon, she was similarly able to avoid the majority of the freezing darkness. I have to be careful about this, considering the extent to which Glaceon and Umbreon counter Dino and Morgan. The first priority is probably the Glaceon, and then we can focus on the Umbreon.

"Morgan, Wispray Combo! Dino, go on the attack!" Edward shouted to his Pokemon. "Go after Glaceon!"

Dino lunged forward at a speed that belied his stature, spinning around with his tail glowing a metallic silver for an Iron Tail attack. Meanwhile, Morgan cackled softly, and shot out several motes of dark energy - a combined Will-O-Wisp and Confuse Ray attack - at the Glaceon.

Ozona was in unimaginable awe from the intense fight. "If we want to beat them, we definitely need to up our game, eh Buck?"
The Smeargle was actually knocked out by the Echoed Voice that burst through the arena. A smirk was on his face, however. Like he KNEW he had to improve. He was recalled and Ozona left to a open area near the fountain. She pulls out a Pokeball with a fist. "Nacho, wanna get some karate training in quick?"
The ball opens itself and a Hawlucha appears next to her. "Chirr! (Yep!)" , he called out. "Well, let's get to it then! I ain't called the Karate Riser for nothing!"
The two begin exchanging light kicks, hoping onlookers wouldn't mistake it for them fighting.

Ajax stood at one end of the private battlefield on the 64th floor of the Battle Spire. His ever-expanding assortment of Pokemon stood behind him in the open space between the battlefield and the small stands dotted around the 64th floor. Ajax had always favored this particular battlefield for reasons unknown to even him, though if he had to hazard a guess it would be that the battlefield was by far the least crowded battlefield still equipped with a deluxe holographic terrain simulator.
As Ajax mindlessly tinkered with his smart watch his Toxtricity and Hakamo-o begun to play a continuous rising symphony, the Song of Sovereignty as some liked to call it. A thematic sound meant to highlight the gravitas of the battle set to unfold.
Utilizing a brief lull in the song Ajax called out to the open door on the opposite side of the stadium “the battle will be a simple 2 on 2 double battle format. Mutual mega evolutions only, The trainer whose Pokémon remain standing will be the victor! Now to all those who wish to challenge me, Enter!”

Eva yelled out: "Umbra, use Safeguard! Glacier, Iron Shard Tail!" Umbra began glowing green, which then passed on to Glacier, protecting him from the Confuse Ray and Will-O-Wisp combo. During this, Glacier went in with an Iron Tail of his own. He focused more metal energy in his tail, making it grow longer and larger and he pivoted about in the opposite direction the Haxorus was spinning - only to sweep at Dino's feet with this new range, ducking underneath the Iron Tail. Of course, this put Glacier in an undesirable position if he hadn't released the Ice Shards from his back. The icicles formed quickly as they were shot at Dino's legs.

Meanwhile, Shade met up with Ajax at the arena, her six chosen Pokemon ready. Of course, when didn't realize it was going to be a double battle until now, but that shouldn't be an issue. She walked up to Ajax and smiled. "Why hello again, Ajax. I'm assuming you are ready for this." She unclipped two PokeBalls from her belt and got in the ready.

“Ready your Pokémon Shade, you only get two” Ajax couldn’t help cracking a sly smile as Shade entered the arena, out of all the battle masters who could have arrived to challenge, he was glad to see her standing as his opponent. Ajax had been following her progress in and outside the spire for a while now, he knew she had immense potential. ‘This will be an excellent battle’ Ajax thought as he waited for Shade to release her two chosen pokemon

Shade thought for a moment before deciding on her two Pokemon. Releasing them into the field, a Gengar with a shiny Gengarite on an intricate band around his waist and a Houndoom could be seen entering the field. She locked her Darkinium-Z into her Z-Ring and smirked. This was going to be fun. She was quite fond of Ajax. Not only was he a good battler, but he was a lovely conversationalist. She waited for him to release his Pokemon. She knew she was going to lose, as he was a Spire Master, but she wasn't going to let him down without a good fight. She then talked to her Pokemon.

"Do not underestimate his Pokemon. Show them your true brutal sides."

With that, Doom the Houndoom let his instincts overtake him. Instead of standing proud and proper, his hackles are raised and he was ready to pounce with an evil look in his eyes and his teeth bared. Gar the Gengar also let his instincts overtake him. His body became more shadow-like and his eyes glowed a deep crimson red.

Ajax smiled at the two Pokémon, “Gar and Doom, very good choices. Let’s got with Toph and Turbo!” The two Pokemon let out triumphant cries before making their way onto the field, Toph kicking gently at the ground beneath her as Turbo hovered overhead
“Computer initialize rule set ‘Delta-4’ 2v2 format, override Prestige requirements and play the glory tracks”
“Command functions accepted, performing commands.” The disembodied replied before launching into a pre-recorded Spiel “Today’s battling pair are none other than the Amber Workhorse herself Toph and the Flaming Fury of Kalos Turbo. Together they are.... the Daughters of Scorched Earth! Let’s get this battle started in 3... 2... 1... Initiate!”
Immediately the pair launched into action, with a single flap of her wings Turbo launched herself backward a noticeable gust of wind now blowing from behind Ajax’s Pokémon (Tailwind) before firing off a volley of sharp wind blades (Razor wind) toward Shades team. The increased wind speeds sending them roaring across the field, meanwhile Toph began pounding her feet into the ground, sending shockwaves and debris in all directions (Earthquake). As the roaring winds continued to sweep across the field small sharpened stones begun to flick up from the ground being carried by the winds and sent flying toward the Houndoom and Gengar as a volley of tiny projectiles (Stealth rock used offensively).

Shade could feel the slight Tailwind hit her, and her team were feeling it now. It didn't do much to hamper their speed, but Gar and Doom buffed themselves up a little, calming their mind and letting their mind wander towards dark thoughts (Nasty Plot). They wanted to tear them to shreds. Doom hopped over the rumbling earth and spiraled between the blades of wind and pointed rocks whilst Gar became one with the shadows and zoomed towards the Mudsdale and appeared at her shadow, attempting to grab her legs and pull her into the shadowy ground (Non-damaging variant of Phantom Force). Mudsdale was the one they had to work together to beat, since she was the more advantageous one against them in this fight. Doom rushed forward towards the Mudsdale, going for the throat with his teeth bared (combination of Throat Chop and Crunch).

Toph did her best to conjure a Protect against Gar’s attempts to ensnare her but the ghostly energy slipped through the shield and begun to lower her into the ground. Immediately Toph began to stomp and kick her hooves trying to hit the spectral face of Gar, sending shockwaves radiating through the earth (Boosted Stomping Tantrum due to protects failure).
As Doom focused upon and rushed toward the Pre-occupied Toph, Turbo readied her attack, soaring high into the air and using the light from the various overhead lights as cover, she was almost silent, the only sound the wing rustling through her feathers as she begun to glow a bright vibrant blue before returning to her normal coloration (Swords Dance). In an instant she tucked her wings in and dropped, her body glowing a sky blue hue as she gained speed, her Gale wings ability and the complimentary tailwind further increasing her speed. She continued to dive, readying herself for the attack, her sharp beak coated in an intense energy. She was planning to hit him square in the sides, forcing him to disengage and focus on her. This was his punishment for forgetting about her. (Aerial Ace)

(OOC - God bless I realized that I wasn’t supposed to post, also, I’ll probably won’t include anything specific about the battles, I literally haven’t read anything until now)

Akabane
~~~~~~
Amazing, for Akabane to say, their ability was just, magnificent. The Cinderace was just perfection. Cheren had been resting on Akabane while watching and gave a distorted screech to show his excitement. "Dinner? Oh yeah, yes that would be great." Akabane got up and returned her Pokémon, who were all still in awe from the battles.
"Well that was interesting,"[/li] Cheren went to Sapphire. "It sure was, did you see that Dragapult, those Pokémon above it’s eyes had excitement right in their eyes, it was purely fascinating!"[/li]
In the distance she heard a call, quite the familiar voice, something that sounded girly, childish, yet it had a male tone. "Wait." Akabane turned around just to see her friend Luna waving his hand,
~~~~~~
Luna
~~~~~~
Luna was waving intensely at Akabane, with Gil at his side clanking his spears together to signal where they were. Luna skipper joyfully to Akabane, it had been quite a while since they’ve seen each other.
Luna got to Akabane, Gil behind him. He noticed a blue haired man next to Akabane, and before he could stop himself, "Akabane! You didn’t tell me you had a special one!" Luna screamed without a thought. Luna turned to the blue haired man, "Now who would you be? I’m Luna, this lad next to me would be Gil, my other Pokémon are in my pockets. I got a question, why are you hanging around Akabane?"
"Hm?" Robin said, pausing and glancing back. It was quite easy to see the person approaching. Robin would almost call the person approaching unusual, but then again he was at the Battle Spire. Pretty much everyone here was unusual. Like himself and Akabane, the guy had blue hair. He was a skinny guy, a little shorter than Robin with pigtails and a notebook. With the man was an Escavilier... cool. Whoever he was, he seemed to know Akabane. But what he said next surprised Robin completely.
"Akabane! You didn't tell me you had a special one!" The man literally screamed. Robin blinked, stepping back and staring at this guy in surprise. What the heck?
Cherry watched the strange human approach from her perch on Robin's shoulder... Something started to ring familiar with this human, for some reason. Very energetic.... and kind of childish.... Cherry couldn't stop the shocked expression of realization from coming across her face. This was the human big sis Merry said she was like?!
"Oh, uh, well..." It took Robin a moment to adjust to the energy output put off by this guy, and he smiled as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm Robin, it's nice to meet you. My Plusle here, her name's Cherry."
Robin gestured to Cherry, who was still looking at Luna in a state of surprise.
"Anyway, well, we just kind of met on the boat. Then Akabane showed up when I was selling TMs. We just decided to hang out and grab some dinner, probably battle before or after because she seemed pretty intent on it. Right?" Robin said to Akabane, giving the woman a thumbs up. "It's not like I know anyone else at the Battle Spire anyway. Well, except for Edward, but he ran off right after our battle."
Having caught himself rambling, Robin turned his attention back to the conversation at hand.
"So, are you a friend of Akabane's or something?" Robin asked Luna.
Gar was in the worst spot possible for Stomping Tantrum, especially now that he was underneath Toph. He leapt back up in the air, damaged from the super effective attack.
Meanwhile, Doom was so close before he got pushed back by the Talonflame's Aerial Ace. Landing and rolling on the ground, he managed to stop and he stood up. Shade, having analyzed the quick Flying-Type moves, yelled out. "It has Gale Wings!"
With that in mind, Doom rushed up and electrified his fangs, his teeth bared and his mouth opened wide (Thunder Fang).
Gar took a moment from Toph to unleash a shadowy blob upon the Talonflame from behind. He shot two in fact, one towards the Talonflame and one towards the Mudsdale (Shadow Ball). He then floated back beside the Mudsdale and his fist was enveloped in ice as he threw the punch at the Mudsdale's side (Ice Punch).
Reacting swiftly, Dino jumped up into the air again, narrowly avoiding the ice in addition to the Iron Tail. Edward grimaced at the Safeguard, rather frustrated but managing to keep his head. If it comes down to raw power, I trust in Dino, but how to do that?
"Dragon's Skystrike!" Edward shouted, naming one of his team's more elaborate combination attacks. Morgan spread out her arms, channeling psychic power and using Gravity. As the force pulling down on those present in the arena increased, Dino surrounded himself with rich purple energy, dropping down with newly enhanced speed in a combined Dragon Rush and Giga Impact towards the Glaceon. The enhanced gravity should make all attacks more likely to connect, which could go both ways. Best to end it quickly.
Umbra had decided that Dusknoir was the actual threat to this situation. Without Dusknoir, Haxorus wouldn't have the support he needed to keep going. Without any hesitation and any commands from Eva, she ran towards Dusknoir. She moved side to side as she did so, almost vanishing in between her destinations. She then vanished before appearing next to Dusknoir, rushing at him to smash him with Feint Attack, as well as bearing her teeth for a Bite.
Meanwhile, Glacier wasn't going to get away fast enough so he quickly pulled up a barrier in a dome (Protect) to block the attack. He then began glowing blue to prepare for another attack.
Toph readied herself for the ice punch, waiting for Gar to get close enough for the Draft horse Pokémon to enact her counter attack, as the icy fist collided with her side she used the jolt of momentum to jump and kick out at Gar, her legs coated in a violet aura (Payback boosted by icy punch). Toph did her best to use the moment of chaos to create a measure of distance between herself and the Gengar. Not noticing the shadow ball until it was already too late Toph lowered her head and charged hoping to evade the worst of the damage, the ghostly orb colliding with the same spot the ice punch had, shattering the thin veil of ice which had formed over the area. Toph continued her charge, Bulldozing her way across the field toward Doom (Bulldoze).
Turbo had noticed the Shadow ball flying toward her, she rolled sideways to avoid the attack before soaring onward, her claws glowing a deep violet as she focused in upon her own target the shadow Pokémon Gar. Despite her immense speed the houndoom was gaining on her, nipping at her heels with electrified fangs and though the talonflame was able to evade the houndooms fangs the arcs of electricity were sent surging through her body, Turbo let out a painful cry but continued flying desperate to avoid the full brunt of the attack.
Dino collided at maximum force with the Protect, releasing shockwaves as the large dragon pressed against the energy bubble. Wisps of purple and white energy flew from the point of collision, until finally, with one last roar, the Haxorus took a step back. He was momentarily winded by the effort that such a mighty attack took, but shook it off relatively quickly.
Meanwhile, Morgan was staring down an Umbreon that was charging towards her in a Faint Attack. The force of the blow knocked the Gripper Pokemon backwards, but before follow-up Bite could connect, the cloud of dust rising from Dino's struggle enveloped the scene. When it cleared, Morgan was - much to the surprise of Edward - nowhere to be seen. Where did she just - Edward had known the Dusknoir for long enough to worry any time she was out of sight. This wasn't usually worry as to Morgan's well-being, but rather the well-being of those who she messed with.
Morgan poked her head out of Dino's shadow, looked around, and slipped back into it. In the moments prior to the Bite, she had used Shadow Sneak to hide in the formidable shadow of the Haxorus. Now, it was time for her to wait for the proper moment to strike.
The young woman had been enchanted by the spectacle of the opening. She wrote furiously in her notebook, taking notes about the performances she had just witnessed. Talia was still in awe at the power of the Spire Masters, lost in her thoughts.
Maybe some day, I'll be able to match that.
She paced around, mentally devising strategies for her matches, whenever they would come.
Neon was watching the battle.
Then, Neon looked and saw Talia
Wait... is that..
Neon squinted.
“It is!”
Neon quickly got up, an ran over to Talia
“Hey! Hey!”
Neon stopped in front of Talia
He dug through his backpack and got out a specific piece of paper and pen his little sister gave him for this exact situation.
“My sister is a huge fan! Would you mind signing this?”
Neon held out a piece of paper and pen he just got out.
While many people might find Neon’s behavior silly, he knew how much his sister wanted this, so he didn’t care.
Talia was slightly startled by the sudden approach, but quickly regained composure. She smiled, her eyes glimmering joyfully.
"Sure! No problem," she replied kindly. Taking the piece of paper, she signed it with a flourish, using her typical signature for these situations.
Smiling, she handed it back. "Tell your sister I said hi. It's always nice to meet a fan."
Suddenly, a Pokeball popped open at the young woman's side. Out popped Harmony, her Togekiss. The Jubilee Pokemon chirped lightly, floating over to Neon's Lucario and offering her wing to shake.
Neon smiled and laughed.
“I got it! Oh, she’s gonna be so happy!”
Neon looked at Talia.
“Thank you!”
Lucario looked at Harmony, and smiled.
It shook Harmony’s wing.
Neon looked at their little exchange.
“Seems our Pokémon get along.”
Neon looked at Talia again.
“Hey, despite being a performer, I’m also pretty sure you can hold your own in a battle, otherwise, you wouldn’t be here.”
Neon thought for a moment.
“So, how ‘bout a battle?”
