Xatu, who had been nicknamed Horus by Luke, stood tall, staring into the distance. Aurus groaned as Luke used a Revive on him, then sprayed two Super Potions on him. He rifled through his bag, looking for another Revive for Caesar. He couldn't find one.
"Rin," Ursa said in a smooth, confident voice.
"What is it?" Luke asked. Ursa proudly held up a handful of roots she had found while digging around in the Honurk Hills. Revival Herbs. They were bitter, but did the job. Luke force-fed an herb to Caesar, and Caesar groggily woke up.
"Mon," Caesar grunted. He did not like the taste of the Revival Herb.
"Alright team," Luke said, sitting down and sipping from his Sinnoh Polar Water bottle, "There should be a gym somewhere in these hills. A little town. We just need to find it. Aurus, can you locate a group of Auras?"
"Lu," Aurus nodded, closing his eyes. A blue pulse shot out from Aurus, and rippled through the hills. Aurus turned his head, and pointed to the West. The team started westward. After about an hour of trekking through many hills in the hot sun, Luke could make out a few houses in the valley between hills. Honurk Town.
"Ursaring!" Ursa shouted gleefully. She was ready to get out of the hot sun. Monferno sprinted after her. Horus flew towards Honurk Town. Aurus jogged alongside Luke. Finally, they arrived in the small town. A man in a karategi was flinging bricks towards a Hitmonchan and Conkeldurr. Hitmonchan punched the bricks into dust, while Conkeldurr smashed them with concrete pillars. Hitmonchan looked at Luke and his team. The man turned to face them.
"Who are you?" the man asked.
"Uh, I'm Luke. Luke Branson," Luke introduced himself, "And this is my team. Aurus. Caesar. Ursa. And Horus."
"What brings you to Honurk Town?" the man inquired.
"I'm looking for the Honurk Dojo. I here that the leader, Chan, gives out badges."
"I am Chan," the man said.
"Oh. Great! So, can we have a battle?"
"Hmm..." Chan said. Then, he flung a brick at Luke. Caesar leapt in front of Luke, and smashed through the brick.
"What was that for?" Luke exclaimed.
"A test. You passed. Follow me to the dojo. We will battle there."
Luke followed Chan to a small building that looked like it was ready to fall apart. Chan stood at one end of a battlefield, with Hitmonchan and Conkeldurr in front of him.
"In this dojo, we conduct many types of battles. Today, I'm in the mood for a Double Battle. I've been training with Hitmonchan and Conkeldurr all day. They are ready to put their skills to the test."
"A Double Battle? Alright. We had those in Sinnoh."
"But, you are only allowed to use two Pokemon. No switching. Even if a Pokemon faints. Understood?" Chan stated.
"Understood," Luke nodded.
Chan let out four more Pokemon to let them watch. Throh, Machamp, Hariyama, and Primeape. Luke looked at Aurus, Caesar, Ursa, and Horus, and debated about which two to use. Horus, obviously, would battle. Psychic was super-effective against Fighting. Ursa wouldn't battle. She was weak to Fighting. Luke decided to use Caesar and Horus. Caesar might get in a good Fire-Type attack.
"Are you ready to begin?" Chan asked. Luke nodded. They both bowed to each other.
"Alright Horus, let's start this battle with Future Sight," Luke said, "Caesar, make sure no one touches Horus."
Caesar nodded, and Horus's eyes turned purple. Hitmonchan charged at Horus, but Caesar caught its fist, and flung it to the side. Conkeldurr flung a concrete pillar towards Caesar, and Caesar used Flame Wheel to shred through it. He charged at Conkeldurr and used Mach Punch. Hitmonchan used this opportunity to attack Horus. Hitmonchan ran at Horus, but Horus unleashed his power, blasting Hitmonchan. Hitmonchan immediately fainted.
"Nice job Horus! Charge up Future Sight again!"
Horus nodded, and his eyes turned purple again. But he looked exhausted. The last attack had used a lot of energy. Conkeldurr whacked Caesar in the head with concrete pillar, crippling him. He tried to get back up, but Conkeldurr stomped on his back. Luke cried out in fear of what would happen to Caesar. Conkeldurr trudged towards Horus, concrete pillars dragging along behind him.
"Come on Horus, you can do this," Luke whispered under his breath.
Conkeldurr reached Horus, and raised his concrete pillars above Horus's head. As he began to swing them down, Horus unleashed the attack. It slammed into Conkeldurr, knocking him across the dojo. But the concrete pillars still hit Horus, knocking him out. It was a draw.
Wait...
No...
Caesar got to his feet, shakily.
"Caesar! You're okay!" Luke beamed.
"Monferno," Caesar managed to get out. Then, he collapsed. But that was all Caesar needed to do. Chan walked over, and presented Luke with the Dojo Badge.
