Private/Closed Legends Arceus: Diamond and Pearl

Rick [HP: 20/20]
Day 1 - Aspiration Hill, Obsidian Fieldlands

While Tatsu seemed to know well what he was supposed to do, Rick heard Bo complaining about the lack of instructions, and decided to give some short orientation. "You're supposed to learn stuff about the pokemon in the area and take notes on that book they gave you. Whatever method you use is up to you." He shouted, before following a Bidoof nearby. Actualy, the rodent went to him first and just sit there staring at the human. Rick kneeled and started taking notes. "Goofy face. Stupid sound. A few tumors growing in its butt." He muttered while writing, before getting up and continuing to walk. For some reason, the Bidoof continued to follow him. "Seemingly unaggressive. Also... doesn't understand english." He added. "Overall... boring as F--"

Rick got his last word cut as a Starly passed inches above his head, landing just a few meters ahead. He turned the page on his pokedex and approached the bird, but didn't get much close without the creature flying a few more feet away from him. That repeated twice. "Can you not?" Rick yelled at the bird. He then decided to change tactics and try to sneak through the grass. He crawled up towards the bird, until he was close enough to get the physical details... as well as some non-physical ones. "Annoying chirping. Noted!"

While he was writing, his ponyta came in from his right side, casualy grazing and consequently eating away Rick's hiding, revealing his position. When Rick raised his head to take another look at the Starly, the bird had already flown away. "Seriously? You're not helping!" Rick complained, before sighing. Ultimately, Rick opted for picking up a small rock and throwing it at the bird's head. The Starly tumbled over, and Rick ran to it. "Hmm... frail." He wrote. He then put the pokedex back into his beltpocket and held the creature by its wing with just two fingers.

"Guys! I caught a pokemon without a pokeball! Do you think that counts for research?"

Benkyo Taipu - Team Platinum - Obsidian Fieldlands - Floaro Garden - Day 1

The Garden were hardly difficult to research. Only some Wurmple (Notes: Bug Type, clearly evidenced by its insectoid appearence) and the occasional Pichu (Electric, from the static stored in its cheeks) were sighted, both of which avoided the duo anyway.
So Benkyo felt confident going on ahead of Yuki, who seemed to take things slow. Yet despite his eagerness, the only real interesting thing here was the large circle of dirt Benkyo found. It contrasted greatly with the beautiful flowers growing all around, but was otherwise unremarkable. Just note in the Encyclopedia and move on.
However, soon after he finished the note, a shadow flew above the two. Benkyo looked up to see a Starly (Normal, presumably due to its unassuming appearance, and Flying, a given as it's a bird pokemon), diving directly behind them.
Benkyo whirled around, afraid Hi was going to join the food chain, but the fire starter was actually sitting down by his leg. In actuality, the Starly was diving towards a lone Wurmple.
Oh-ho! Now this could prove fruitful! Benkyo crouched, taking cover in the flowers and pulling out a pencil, ready to write.
A classic predator versus prey scenario. Except the predator was clearly young and new at this, evidenced by the Starly clumsily landing near the Wurmple, alerting it. The two promptly engaged, with the Starly proving fast enough to strike first with a peck. Not very flashy, but Benkyo knew it would deal solid damage given it's type advantage. And so it did, sending the Wurmple back a few feet, clearly hurt badly. Yet it refused to back down, scuttling forward and jabbing with its purple-glowing horn.
A direct hit! The Starly took the blow, but shook it off. Benkyo waited for it to attack...but nothing happened. Despite Wurmple's attack doing neutral damage, the Starly was breathing heavily, and the spot it was struck was tinted purple.
Oh...poison sting.
Benkyo couldn't help but feel bad for the poor thing. He was also surprised the Wurmple knew a move that wasn't its own type, especially given its age, and now the Starly was paying the price.
"But this is just nature at work." Benkyo reminded himself, going back to scribbling.
Until he heard flapping approaching, and much louder than the Starly. Looking up, Benkyo saw another pokemon join the fray.
A Beautifly, looking none to happy at the sight of the bird and the injured bug, presumably its offspring. It looked at the Starly and, with a cry of anger, blew a gust of wind at it, sending it tumbling!
Now he really felt bad for the bird! But the chance of studying a Beautifly were too rare for him to think about it, instead scribbling faster.
"Beautifly, a Bug/Flying Type. Insectoid yet with wings for flight, it-"
THUMP!
Benkyo flinched as something landed beside him. A quick glance revealed that it was the Starly, likely knocked this way by the Beautifly! Benkyo looked at the poor mon. He really felt he should leave before he was noticed, but the sight of the heavily breathing bird tugged at his heartstrings. Benkyo looked over at the Beautifly as it slowly flew closer, its proboscis twitching.
Wait...didn't Beautifly drink the bodily fluids of prey?
Benkyo wasn't sure if it was due to the fear of such a sight, lack of sleep, or if he really was just a softie, but he ended up putting the starly in Hi's cloth bag.
"Sorry Hi, this little guy needs it more!" he half-whispered to the Cyndaquil, who had so far simply watched with a blank expression. Benkyo began to sneak back, hoping the flowers would keep him unsee-
"Oh." was all Benkyo could dumbly say at the sight of the Beautifly looking down at him. It appeared curious, intrigued by what the strange looking pokemon was doing with it's victim.
But Benkyo didn't want to wait for a verdict.
"Hi. Use Smokescreen." he whispered.
For once, Hi obeyed, puffing out a cloud of smoke, obscuring the two as they dashed past the Beautifly, which considered the move as an act of war and cried out as it flew out of the smoke, now set on eliminating it's new prey.
"Crap! Crap crap crapcrapcrapcrap-" Benkyo panic-swore as he descended the Garden, Starly in tow.

Phoenix Joy - Obsidian Fields - Aspiration Hill - Day 1

"Well, it would be best to study the pokemon that are here. Most look like they are not very aggressive at time, but they are wild and will attack if provoked. Most pokemon travel in groups of their own species. I think it would be best to find a spot where we can see more than one pokemon at a time and see what and how they interact with the others of it's kind." Phoenix smiled as he spoke of pokemon, over the years living in the forest, he had seen many types of pokemon that would stick together. With that thought in mind, Phoenix took to one side, and sat on the ground. It would seem that Phoenix looked as if he was in a trance while looking towards the pokemon that surrounded them. Taking out his notebook, he turned to the first page, and started to write down what he saw of the creatures that would be around.

While this was happening, Phoenix had not noticed the caterpie that had crept up to him. It would seem that the bug pokemon was curious about the new pokemon that was in it's lands. When it got to Phoenix it noticed the weird utensil that he used to make markings on the object with many thin pages. The caterpie would occasionally look to the other "Pokemon" of the group, that one looked like it would be about to change into something else with its many layers and rounded shape. It looked like the silcoon that inhabited the lands. When the pink haired pokemon moved, he noticed the rations that he had in the bag and tried to take one. He would have to if the pink haired human did not grab them. He was picked up and startled by the sudden movement, and so when he was in the air, he shot out a string of sticky web, it shot passed Phoenix and shot towards the other one as Phoenix had moved his head towards the side.

"Well, aren't you crafty. You could have just asked, and I would have given you some of the plants I have." With that, Phoenix held out some of the flowers that he had collected before and watched the pokemon warily take a bite of the plant. It would seem that the pokemon was not hostile as some of the others of its kind. He was happy to note that the pokemon was alone, and so decided when it was though with eating, he would catch the bug type.

Bo hid in the grass with a rather blank expression. He had half expected to see Tatsu be on the wrong end of a spark, but this was somewhat impressive.

"Not bad, first try too" Bo said commenting on how he only needed one pokéball. Bo looked over at Rick, then gave him a thumbs up after the explanation.

"Hm. A bit of a mundane task. But i guess it could be worse, i mean we could be doing Manuel labor" Bo said. He began making his way down the hill away from starly. Stupid looking birds. Bo hid in the grass and waited for one of the starly to turn it's back away from him.

Arming himself with some mud he found, he swung it as hard as he could, slapping the bird across the back of its head so hard it fell down and nearly rolled 3 ft away, "starly!" It startled let out before flapping its wings to get the mud off of it. Bo was nowhere to be seen, "leave my bugs alone" Bo muttered as he avoided a fight with it.

Bo would now be heading north. Not far from Bo was just what he was looking for. A wurmple. Jackpot! Unlike Tatsu, Bo was a sneaky sorts and had no intentions in challenging it to an honorable duel. The wurmple didn't look to brave to begin with either. Had Bo outright approached it, it likely would have ran for it. Bo tactfully grabbed a pokéball, tossing it, not too hard, but enough to tag the worm. Bo wondered how envious his brother would be if he saw the worm he caught.

Bo had no intentions in using it much. Perhaps he'd keep it at his home. A place he could collect bugs and keep them when he didn't need them.

"I'll name this one squiremy" Bo said. Though he might keep Squiremy around. At least long enough to study it. Maybe feed it and see what he could learn about it. Possibly evolve it into a beautifly or dustox.

Not far from Bo was a shinx. Bo stood in the tall grass. His intentions were to get the jump on it. Purposes? Training. He didn't need nor want a shinx. The other kid, Tatsu caught one already. Bo didn't need to do the same. So Bo sat there and awaited a perfect moment to sneak attack. Such as the Creature way.

Yua Yamamoto

Day 1
Location: Horseshoe Plains, Obsidian Fieldlands
Pokémon: Tanta the Oshawott
Trainer HP: 17/20 (bandaged)

Interactions: Kawa Ko and Kague the Eevee (Hecotoro)
Mentions: N/A

What did he mean by hit them all? It was then that Yua realized there were multiple Burmy. Huh... How did they all get there? They must have fallen out of the tree to help their friend, but it wouldn't be enough against the odd star attack made by Kague. Those stars were quick, and they homed in on the intended targets. She's just going to call it Speed Star for now.

Yua hadn't realized that the bug had thrown its sticky webbing at not just the Eevee, but Kawa, as well. She was too busy watching the bugs zip themselves back up into the tree, probably nursing their wounds. It was when he spoke did she look over to see him completely covered. She held a hand over her mouth, snickering slightly.

Tanta puffed out her chest proudly after the Burmy had left. She was proud that she supported, but when she looked over at the Eevee, there was no "thank you" nor was there anything that resembled gratitude. The Eevee just puffed up her chest proudly, as if she did it all by herself. And oh, did that get her blood boiling. But, that was interrupted as she saw her trainer approach Kawa to help him with the sticky string.

And then Kawa had his shirt off.

Yua stared. Dumbly.

She then shook her head, pink tinging her cheeks as she stood across from him and helped. "I'm pretty sure if we use water, we can get this off. Man, though, it is sticky..." She got some stuck to her fingers and as she splayed them out, it clung between her fingers and tried to pull them back together. She sighed. "Damn, I guess those bugs have a way to stop predators like those birds. This is impossible to move with."

Tanta walked over to the shirt, then grinned. This would get back at Kague for being an ungrateful little furball. She pulled out her scalchop, the shell being imbued with a dark energy. Looking over, Yua immediately grabbed the scalchop and Tanta's hand, wincing as the dark energy cut into her skin, cutting a bit too easily. "Watch it! You can't do that, you'll rend his shirt to shreds. It gets cold at night, he'll need it back on." She scolded, to which the Oshawott huffed and blew out her cheeks defiantly. She ripped the scalchop from Yua's hand and slapped it back on her belly. The scalchop was now stained with Yua's blood, but it seemed like neither of them cared, as Yua held her hand and sighed, digging into her pouch for some bandages. That was when Tanta cloaked herself in water. Instead of just letting the shirt get near her, she instead tackled it head on with Aqua Jet...

Completely getting stuck within the sticky webbing, now encased in gross human clothing.

Yua sighed, slapping her forehead and getting more string on her face and hair, but she lost the will to care. "Ugh, damn it, Tanta..." She groaned. "Quit being so hotheaded, why are you acting like this?"

Meanwhile, Tanta was trying to wrestle herself out of the shirt and squealing, but to no avail.

Kague rolled her eyes, they couldn't even be trusted with cleaning Kawa's shirt. How pathetic. Instead she had to do it herself. Without warning the Eevee turned her back to the shirt and then began kicking dirt on to it, using Sand-Attack. Not only was she throwing sand on to her teammates, but the shirt was now a muddy sticky mess.

Kawa sighed loudly. He wasn't worried about the shirt, he could take on the cool breeze the night would provide, he was more worried about his team not being able to handle such a simple situation. The ninja walked over and pulled the shirt up, sending the Oshawott rolling out of it. "My apologies." Kawa said before rolling the shirt into a ball and leaving it under the tree. "We can get it on our way back, let's go."

Kague yapped at the water Pokemon, like if telling it to hurry up before she skipped ahead to Ka's side, walking proudly. "Yua, let's go to the river and wash your wound, we can't afford an infection right now."

~Bo...~

It was Bo's intentions in getting an advantage in this fight against the shinx. Boa was already out of it's pokéball so Bo did the second best thing, and grabbed a rock. When the shinx was turned away from Bo, he made his move. Bo thought about throwing the rock at it, but instead he looked over at Boa.

"Boa...?" Bo said.

The bug looked at him silently.

"Uuuughh... Use!" Bo paused. The lynx looked around but saw nobody. He then whispered, "Use mud slap!" Bo commanded. Bo watched as Boa stood there quietly staring at lynx. Ever so quietly staring at it. Bo then poked his bug. It inched forward, nearing the edge of the grass.

"I believe in you" Bo whispered.

Boa continied to stare, before eventually shooting out dirt, which seemed to catch the lynx off guard.

"Good job, Boa! Do it again!" Bo asked.

Boa managed to fire another mud slap, it landed. The shinx made the mistake of using spark on the ground type pokémon. Bo had to move and make sure he had a decent enough distance between him and the ground type bug. "Use mud slap one more time!" Bo said. The shinx seemed to be defeated by this point.

Since Bo wasn't a monster, he left an oran berry next to the fainted cat. Bo could find more oran berries in nearby trees. Bo took a second to observe the shinx. He seen it use spark. It clearly had the ability to produce electricity. Boa showed a pretty decent display of ground type moves. This match, though unfair, did serve to help Bo in his research to say the least. Boa looked at, but was now scurrying towards him as if demanding to be picked up.

"Good job! You earned a rest. Maybe now we can look for a few berries. Maybe strike a few trees for training experience instead of beating up a bunch of wild pokémon. We aren't monsters after all" Bo said, completely ignoring the fact that he threw mud at one, not even five minutes ago.

Yuki, the Ralts Girl
Day 1, Galaxy Corps. HQ- Jubilife Village/Floaro Garden- Obsidian Fieldlands
20/20 HP

Yuki didn't shy away from Yua at all. Although she was anxious that she was doing things wrong, and was making this awkward, Tulip seemed to trust the nice girl, to an extent, and she trusted Tulip's judgment fully. Why were humans scared of Pokemon? It made no sense! Pokemon were friendly as long as you didn't seem threatening and you avoided entering their territory without permission. Among various other things; depending on what sort of Pokemon you were dealing with, really. The night-spookers and giants were unreasonable and were truly terrifying to Yuki. She supposed to those who haven't spent much time around Pokemon, it was scary. But there were so many extremely friendly Pokemon, too! Like her family!

Yuki absorbed the information about handshakes and waves. Very interesting. She already knew about waves, as the Ralts line used them too. She also added the word "customs" to her ever-growing mental dictionary. The human language and body language were so fascinating at times. She followed Yua to the others, unknowingly avoiding the dreadful pushups. That's where she noticed the Di-o-mond clan members. She didn't have anything against the clan, but she hated the hostility towards the other group. Being placed with them over and over by her mother did teach her some basics about humans, but for the longest time, she always assumed they naturally hated others but meeting people from Jubilife changed that perception. Were they going to bring their petty fight here? She hoped not.

She followed them out to the Obsidian Fieldlands, a feeling of peace falling over her. It was no marshlands, but it was nice to be outside of the oppressing walls and narrow "streets" of Jubilife. She had no idea how the locals could handle it. However, she soon found that it wasn't all the best. They were only out here for 23 hours (however long that was) and had to go to a specific location with someone else. How thrilling. Though she supposed as long as she could do some personal exploring, it wouldn't be too bad. Though she wasn't too eager with her partner once she found out this Benkyo was from Di-o-mond. Dread filled her stomach, though she didn't say anything. She merely nervously waved back.

***
Yuki didn't say much as she followed her teammate to Floaro Garden. Much like her teammate, she observed the Pokemon around her, but unlike him, she wasn't, well, categorizing them by their qualities and abilities, but how aggressive they seemed to be. The Pichu and Starly were very fearful, watching her nervously if they ever caught sight of her close to them before fleeing if she took another step. The Wurmple didn't seem to care too much, though she had a feeling they would become violent if she got too close to them. As for the Shinx, while they seemed fearful, it was not the same kind that emanated from the Starly or Pichu, but a more aggressive sort of fear. She made a mental note to avoid them. Best not to get one to attack. She also knew that the Beautifly seemed to be more aggressive, too. Different from the Shinx aggressiveness, though. She couldn't quite put a finger on it, though. Nor did she see know if it extended to humans.

However, another Pokemon caught her eye. A blueish-grey bird with a red head. Not exactly every day when you see one of those. She blinked as she observed it. Hungry? Probably. Though, it also seemed a bit on the weaker side, as it was avoiding even the nearby Wurmple as it scoured for food. She climbed up a tree and plucked an Oran berry. Perhaps it will accept this food. She landed softly, not wanting to startle the bird. It seemed very fearful, like the common Starly. She stealthfully inched closer to the bird until it noticed her. It stared at her, as she held out the berry, its wings shifting. Very scared. Yuki slowly lowered herself, the Oran berry held out. The bird hopped a bit closer, but was extremely cautious. Then it stopped. Yuki placed the berry on the ground and rolled it towards the Pokemon before slowly backing away. With that, the Pokemon picked up the berry, then immediately flew away. Now that she fed the Pokemon, she supposed she should find her partner again.

She noticed Benkyo get into some trouble, intervening where he shouldn't have. While it was awful, the Beautifly had defeated the Starly in combat, and every creature deserved to eat. However, she did understand why he did it. Though, she didn't understand why he used a move on the Beautifly before it even attacked. That was reckless and merely made Pokemon upset, even if it didn't hurt. Though, she guessed he was scared. She sighed and narrowed her eyes, looking for something, anything, to help get the Beautifly to back down. It was not a good idea to get Tulip involved. Tulip tended to get hurt a lot more around bugs. Her heart pounded. What was she supposed to do?! She learned from a young age that any Pokemon could be extremely dangerous if pushed enough. "Get time!" She called out, "Fight back! You in danger! I find hide spot!" Did that message go through? She hoped he understood. The Beautifly knew she was there, she knew it did. However, it was more concerned about the person who used Smokescreen on it. Yuki's gaze darted over the withered field as she looked for someplace to hide if Benkyo couldn't stop his attacker.

Benkyo Taipu - Team Platinum - Obsidian Fieldlands - Floaro Garden - Day 1

"While it starts its life as a bug type, Beautifly tend to rely on flying attacks when-"
"Whoah!" Benkyo just narrowly evaded a gust of wind, bringing him out of his mental noting. The downward slope of the garden helped him establish a gap between him and his assailant, but the thing really didn't quit!
But perhaps it was a good thing he was brought back to earth, as he just heard his partner...talk? He wasn't sure if the adrenaline was making him hear broken English, but he understood the gist of what Yuki said.
Unfortunately, he did not agree with said gist.
"What?!" he skidded to a halt, throwing off the Beautifly briefly and causing it to fly over him. "Fight that? And hide where?"
Hi followed suit, huffing tiredly. The two looked at each other, then at the Beautifly, which began to realize its mistake and turn around.
"...You wanna try it?" Benkyo offered sheepishly.
Hi gave a shocked look back to his trainer, before lying back, accepting his fate.
Benkyo understood the sentiment, but groaned anyway.
"Oh don't be like that!" he protested.
With Hi throwing the white flag, Benkyo sighed as he had to snatch the mon off the floor as he dashed away from another air slash. Now with a injured Starly in one hand and a nihilistic Cynadquil in the other, Benkyo looked around, trying to find anything of use. But the area was far too plain, with only some flowers, few trees, and most pokemon having fled the scene.
Except an Alpha Luxio, which he could see was lazing around not too far away.
Benkyo stared at the pokemon, calculating something.

Galaxy Corps Team Platinum
Day 1

‘Go to a place where there were a lot of pokémon?’ Shiroi was stunned. This guy was suicidal too? That was a real shame since Shiroi thought that maybe they could’ve been friends.

“Right, then you have fun with that, I’ll hang back and...uhh, keep an eye out for danger.” His excuse was flimsy and his voice dropped to a buzz as he nervously eyed the plains for any threatening groups of pokémon.

Phoenix seemed engrossed with a green wormy pokémon that had appeared and so Shiroi took the opportunity to get moving. He looked around and selected a clearing near some trees, it seemed largely devoid of pokémon and there were no bushes or shrubs, so nothing could sneak up on him. It was perfect!

“If you need me, I’ll be over there.”

As he neared a tree Myrtle took the chance to wiggle off his shoulder and into the branches overhead.

“Good idea Myrtle, you can keep a better watch from higher up!”

The Wurmple paused and looked at him as if she were looking at an idiot. Then she picked a branch and made herself at home. She seemed far more interested in the leaves that in keeping a vigilant watch.

Well, at least now he knew how to feed her. He’d have to remember to stuff some leaves in his armor so Myrtle would have something to eat later.

Shiroi sighed, “Why couldn’t all pokémon be like you Myrtle? Small, cute, non-threatening; I wish I could just study you instead...of...” The boy froze, the dull expression he’d worn slowly brightening to show some semblance of intelligence.

“Hold on...”

Another moment passed and then Shiroi threw his head back, laughing uproariously!

“Ah, Shirio Chisanakiyo, your brilliance never ceases to amaze!”

He’d figured it out! He’d gamed the system! Why risk life and limb to study savage wild pokémon when he had a willing and perfectly docile specimen at hand? He’d just study Myrtle!

With that decision made, Shiroi sighed once more, this time contently.

‘This was the survey corps? These were dangerous missions? With a flick of my sleeves, I, Shiroi, have trivialized such danger!’

Yua Yamamoto

Day 1
Location: Horseshoe Plains, Obsidian Fieldlands
Pokémon: Tanta the Oshawott
Trainer HP: 17/20 (bandaged)

Interactions: Kawa Ko and Kague the Eevee (Hecotoro)
Mentions: N/A

Yua griped and leaned away, shielding her eyes, as soon as Kague threw up sand, and the muddy mess also had Tanta yelling even more, probably calling Kague a dumb mutt for accomplishing nothing but getting everyone dirty. Sighing upsettingly at their efforts being all for naught as Kawa just picked up the shirt and the Oshawott rolled out of it, setting it aside for when they could find it again. Tanta stood up and shook off the sand that could be shaken off, but now she was dirty and covered with darkened, muddy string. Apparently, Kawa didn't seem to mind the cold all that much. He might get sick if he did that, but his clan did live out in the wilderness, essentially.

She just walked with Kawa, scratching her arm anxiously as her Oshawott walked alongside Yua, the Water-Type glaring at the Eevee. "Yeeaahh... Sorry about that. We don't exactly have much time, even though twenty-three hours seem like enough. Though, the Burmy were interestin-..." She looked up and chuckled at Kawa's hair. "You got some string in your hair, too. Might as well dunk your head in the lake and wash it off while we're at it. Tanta and I will make sure no fish tries to eat you." She grinned, feeling like she would be far better at watching the waters. She looked at her hand, then looked down at what she was wearing - her Galaxy uniform.

Eh, she didn't really see the sentimentality behind it. She untied the knot that held her satchel behind her, unwrapped the black band from around her waist, held them within the crook of her arm, opened up her blue galaxy jacket to show the long-sleeved black shirt, and she pulled that up, showing off her belly smattered with scars. She put the bottom of it between her teeth and pulled, ripping it. She then let go and ripped the rest of it, the shirt now barely covering her belly button. Closing her jacket and putting the black band and satchel back on, she got her black strand of cloth and balled it in her unharmed fist. "I don't remember getting any medical supplies, so this'll just have to do. I can probably find some herbs and whatever flora I can find to create potions and healing salves. Might be more beneficial. Especially since- uh..." I'd rather not disappoint you- "I'd rather not get myself killed. That would look bad on you and Zisu already thinks of you as a leader. Not to mention I'd rather not have you telling my parents or my band of brothers that I died. They love me, but they can't help but be perpetually terrified of my carelessness."

These thoughts were what had plagued her during her walk over to the campgrounds when Kawa said something about telling their loved ones if they died. Being out here for an actual job - one that could get herself killed - had helped put that into perspective.

Essentially, Kawa had done the impossible that no other person could have done and she wouldn't be able to hear the end of it if they found some cute, aloof, young man had helped her in seeing that better than any of her family members could ever put that into perspective.

Etsuko Joy - Team Platinum - Obsidian Fieldlands - Aspiration Hills - Day 1
Etsuko gave a nod to Kei, "I think so.. There's a river here close by at least so we have a source of water. Food and possible medical supplies we can try to forage around," she suggested and began to look around for berry trees. If they were lucky they might be able to grab a handful to share among the group.

"As for fire.. I'm not too knowledgeable on how to get a campfire going. But let's start with food, since that's a high priority. I think I see some berry trees over there, Kei," the pink haired girl said, pointing at a collection of trees. Of course they also needed to find a way to get the berries down from there safely. Etsuko began to make her way over there, but waited for the Diamond clan girl to follow suit of course.

Kei Fudo - Team Platinum - Obsidian Fieldlands - Aspirtaion Hills - Day 1

"Very smart of you!' Kei said, flashing a grin at Etsuko before following her. "We are not climbing a tree, that brings risks with it. Branches can snap, Pokémon can attack, you can scrape yourself. It is way safer to do this." The Diamond Clan girl said, grabbing her Pokéball. "Come on out, Mochi!"

Kei released her Hippopotas, who looked a bit surprised as to what was going on. "Alright Mochi, give that tree a good shake!" Kei said, causing Mochi to yawn before waddling over towards one of the trees and shaking it by jumping agains the base. Whilst Mochi was quite heavy, she couldn't shake the whole tree by herself, so Kei assisted her Pokémon. The vigorous shaking managed to knock down a few berries, but there was more in a tree than just berries...

Yuki, the Ralts Girl
Day 1, Floaro Garden- Obsidian Fieldlands
20/20 HP

Yuki tried to find somewhere to hide. She had to get her teammate out of danger. She ignored his protests as she looked for someplace to hide, though she couldn't find a good location that the Beautifly couldn't easily get to, but they could. She felt her panic rise, trying to think of something else she could do. Something. Anything. She watched the pitiful "attempt" to fight back, but the Cyndaquill did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Like it was sleepy. Sleepy. Wait! Didn't Tulip have a move that put her opponents to sleep?! But it was so risky. If it missed, well, she didn't want to think about it.

Her partner stopped, staring at something. Yuki turned to see what it was, and she immediately blanched. It was a giant. Giant Pokemon were worse than night-spookers. At least with night-spookers there was some possibility of fighting back. Giants were powerful. Giants were guaranteed trouble. No matter how bad the Beautifly seemed now, the Luxio was definitely far worse. Surely he couldn't be thinking of getting that thing involved?! It was suicide! Suddenly the risk seemed so tiny compared to what could happen.

Yuki gulped. She had to stop the Beautifly. Get its attention. Make it go after her. But how? She had to think fast. Rocks. Rocks hurt. Hurt the bug, it sees her as a bigger threat, Tulip could pull off a Hypnosis. Trembling, she lifted a rock. Good weight, nice size. Perfect for what she planned to do. She breathed to calm herself. She couldn't shake too much. Tulip started projecting a calm feeling onto Yuki. She would have to send gratitude to Tulip after this.

She hurled the rock at the Beautifly, hitting it. Barely. Suddenly, the rage focused on Benkyo shifted her her, and the Beautifly flew after her. Her heart started pounding in her chest again, however, she needed to let Tulip know what she needed to do. Yuki could already tell Tulip was panicking.

Yuki breathed, focusing on a calm dream-like feeling. Hopefully Tulip would understand. Hopefully. If things went wrong- she ducked out of the way of an Air Slash. Tulip focused, making low humming noises and swaying back to forth. The Beautifly resisted, its rage pushing through Tulip's Hypnosis. Tulip didn't stop, however. She continued her move, and the Beautifly slumpped to the ground.

Yuki's breathing was shaky as she got up again, scooping up Tulip in her arms and carefully walking around the Beautifly. Then she rushed over to Benyko. Despite her being unhappy with his... dealing of the situation, she wasn't going to just move on without him. "Leave area. Only Beautifly and giant Luxio here. Others fear and run." She glanced back at the Beautifly, it now sleeping away. "Unsure how long sleepy. Best not here when awake. Avoid giant Luxio. It bring death."

Day One Team Platinum

Kawa couldn't help but to notice the scars on Yua's belly. Her words also made him look at things in a different way and he feared his words might make her feel discouraged to continue in any future missions.

"I think you have a lot of potential." He said as he knelt next to the river and began to gather water into his cooped hands, "Just need the proper training. I have a few scars myself, I think a lot of us do. They're there to remind you of your past mistakes." Ka showered his hair with water and began washing it, taking off the sticky web, "You have to be proud of the mistakes you made, since they will make you stronger in the future." He got up and looked up at the sun, "Let's take a quick break."

12 PM

After the short break, giving Kague an Oran Berry and Kawa washing the rest of his clothes, they set off again. Walking along the river had been helpful, Kawa had added information on Magikarp, useless outside or inside water, Starly, easily scared and quick to flee, Oshawott, proud and can easily get upset and Wurmple, they are quiet.

The group reached a point where the path was in the middle of a small pond and the river, they had walked pretty far away from their initial point and finally, they had spotted a Pokemon they hadn't seen before, Kawa had heard of it and was told it was pretty strong, the powerful Golduck. The small yellow Pokemon walked around holding their heads, splashing about in the water and looked pretty relaxed and calm. Some would bump into each other and that didn't seem to bother them, even the Starly in the area were completely calm.

Kawa held his hand up and crouched, to hide in the tall grass. "I was told these Pokemon are powerful swimmers and very aggressive, having strong psychic powers and I don't think we're ready to face something at that level." He whispered back to Yua, but kept his sight on the dangerous golden ducks, "Let's try and record their information and then start heading back."

"Psyduck?"

Kawa froze, hearing the voice of one of the creatures nearby. He slowly turned around, only to see a Psyduck was standing behind Yua, holding his head and tilting it to the side, clearly confused. "Don't move, a Golduck has spotted us."

Day 1
Location: Horseshoe Plains, Obsidian Fieldlands
Pokémon: Tanta the Oshawott
Trainer HP: 17/20 (bandaged)

Interactions: Kawa Ko and Kague the Eevee (Hecotoro)
Mentions: N/A

It was surprising to hear that Kawa thought she had a lot of potential. Apparently, he had looked at her exposed belly and Yua couldn't help but smirk at that knowledge. Though, his sentiment on how they were reminders had her listening again with some seriousness. Why... Did he feel compelled to make her feel better like this? Odd. She nodded, wanting to take a quick break to compile what they had, focusing on cleaning her wound and wrapping the black cloth around her hand.

Due to having gone to the Floaro Gardens last night and having to pass through Aspiration Hills to get there, she had a lot more information she was writing down. First, were the Bidoof. Docile, curious yet wary, would run away if provoked. Starly were skittish. Shinx were aggressive in a fearful way. Drifloon were scary and would attack and steal people away if they could pick them up. Beautifly and Dustox were dangerous and would attack on sight, with one being diurnal and the other nocturnal. Horseshoe Plains had shown her Wurmple, which were docile for the most part and it was a 50/50 chance whether they were going to attack or flee if you were too close. Cascoon were just kind of sitting there. Buizel were aggressive and territorial. She caught the tail end of an Eevee, detailing how they were elusive and rare. Obsidian Falls was a delight to see, and she had seen Magikarp, which she documented as uselessly living and very docile until provoked. Oshawott was prideful, but she didn't know if that was a trait all Oshawott had.

As for what types they were, she had no idea. Bidoof looked to be Normal. She couldn't think of any other type it could be. Starly was likely a Flying-Type. Shinx either an Electric/Normal or just an Electric-Type. Drifloon... were spooky so possibly Ghost. She didn't know if they were part Flying. Beautifly and Dustox were confusing. They both flew and they both had toxic wing scales. She just knew they were both Bug. Wurmple was also a Bug-type and that was easy to see. Cascoon was possibly a Bug-Type. Buizel... Normal? It did live around water, so maybe it was also a Water-Type, or both. Eevee - she learned from Kawa - was Normal. Magikarp was a fish and lived in water, so it likely was a Water-Type.

What these types weaknesses and resistances were, she had no idea, and had no idea about immunities. She began making a list of types she knew. Normal, Fire, Grass, Water, Electric, Flying, Ghost, Bug, and Poison. She felt like there was more to this, but she didn't know. She'd have to confer with Zisu and see if she knew.

She focused all her time to writing out all the information she accumulated, even drawing pictures of the ones she could remember while it was still burned into her brain. There might have been some inconsistencies, but she drew decently enough to look better than a children's drawing. After giving her Oshawott an Oran Berry as thanks, she followed Kawa along the river's edge. The long walk was something Yua was thankfully accustomed to. It was when she was told to stop with some sign language and crouched low did she realize what Kawa had seen.

It was... What he called, a Golduck.

But they looked so round and chubby and playful. Apparently they were dangerous, according to him.

Hang on, didn't she see them before back at home? They were a really common sight and her father called them something. Something-duck. Not Golduck though, that didn't sound right. OH, but that was the other type she was missing! Psychic! She'll write it down later.

It was when she was told there was one behind her and she looked over, got a good look at it as she stared into its blank eyes, then erupted in a fit of snickers. "Oh, oh, you sweet summer child." She held her hand over her mouth, trying to keep her laughter down. "That's a PSYduck. They're really common where I come from. What you're talking about is the blue duck. They got spikier down feathers and have a sharper beak. I don't know why they called it a Golduck either when this thing is obviously yellow, but yeah. Plus, this thing looks to be about as docilely useless as a Magikarp. Let's just go before we get into any trouble." She tugged on Kawa's arm so they could just sneak around the "terrifying Golduck".

Rick [HP: 18/20]
Day 1 - Aspiration Hill, Obsidian Fieldlands

Rick put the legaly caught Starly in his beltpocket and continued to search around for something more worthy of his time. He had already filed in some information about the two main species of the area. Of course, how relevant said information actualy was would be anyone's opinion. Unfortunately, he didn't find anything that caught his eye. His two partners were already working on Shinxes, which was the most interesting species in the area so far. So Rick turned his attentions towards his ponyta instead. He also thought it would be odd showing a pokedex with research done in two species and the one that was given to him had pretty much nothing. He also wished that his pokemon would be a bit more cooperative.

"Soo... lets start with diet, shall we?" He said, sitting next to the ponyta as she grazed. She stoped for a second to glance at Rick, who immediately grabed and held her mouth open to check inside. "Wow! How do you eat grass-type pokémon without canines?" He questioned. The ponyta was already annoyed at that point. Then Rick opened her mouth even wider and almost stuck his head inside. "Where does your flame come from when you breathe fire?" He asked. The ponyta decided it would be better if she would just show him. So she closed her mouth, then breathed a small flame with Rick's head still inside, before being kind enough to toss him into a pool for him to chill. She then walked towards the river, with her head raised high.

Rick shook his head and took out his pokedex. "Omnivore, hot-tempered, pretty strong jaw for its size. Flame temperature not unbearable." He wrote. He then followed the filly to the river, where she went to drink. He rubbed his chin for a bit, thinking on what to do next. Grabing one of his potion vials, he spilled the content on the ground and filled it with water instead. He then poured it on the ponyta's mane to see what happens. To no one's surprise (except maybe for him), the ponyta didn't like it, and kicked him into the river. "Help! I can't swim!" He shouted while flailing about. The ponyta just sat there, staring at Rick and wondering how long it would take for the human to realize that the river was just a few inches deep and he had a foot. Fortunately for Rick, the filly also thought this had been enough punishment. So she simply walked into the river, grabed Rick by collar, and pulled him into land.

"Thanks..." He said, briefly shivering, before questioning. "How are your elbows still on fire after getting into water?"

Day One Team Platinum, Noon

"Docile?" Kawa looked at the duck Pokemon, it did look pretty harmless and Yua seemed confident on her information, "I see. Then let's move along, we don't want to startle-"

"Achoo!"

The Psyduck sneezed, causing Kague's fur to puff up as she jumped in the air from the sudden sound. As a reaction, she shot her Swift attack, the bright stars hitting several of the Psyduck in the area. The rest of the yellow water Pokemon now had their attention on the humans, most of them confused but some of them looking a bit upset. Kawa reached down and picked up his Eevee, not wanting the Pokemon to fire off another attack by accident and grabbed Yua's hand, ready to bolt out of there as soon as possible. Unfortunately, he was too busy keeping his eyes on the pack of Psyduck, he had forgotten the one behind them. Bump! Ka crashed into the yellow duck, landing on top of it while letting go of his Eevee and Yua at the same time.

For a second, a strange energy was felt around Kawa and the Psyduck, but before any reaction could be done, Ka was sent flying into the air. He flew over the shore and landed in the river, leaving a big splash. Kague's jaw dropped as she saw her partner get blasted away. But, now they had bigger issues to handle as the Psyduck began to grip their heads and gather around Yua and the Pokemon, their eyes beginning to glow.

Day 1, Noon
Location: Horseshoe Plains, Obsidian Fieldlands
Pokémon: Tanta the Oshawott
Trainer HP: 15/20 (bandaged, migraine)

Interactions: Kawa Ko and Kague the Eevee (Hecotoro)

Kawa seemed like he believed her, so Yua was just about to leave the area and get away from the Psyduck when-...

A sneeze, stars, her hand was held, and she was just about to run when Kawa tripped. Everything happened so fast, Yua had to take a moment to realize that Kawa was thrown into the air and thrown into the water. Eyes widening, she looked about the yellow ducks with worry. "Oh, fuck... Damn it, Kague, watch your attacks! You got your human hurt and you angered them all!" She worryingly scolded the Eevee, but her eyes narrowed as she looked down at Tanta.

"Alrighty, Tanta. We might not be able to take them all, but you know what we can do?" She grinned at her Oshawott, who had been by her heel the entire time and was just as pissed at Kague as she was confused. "Distraction!" Yua grinned wildly. "Get their attention and use Detect!" Yua jumped back while Tanta glared at all the Psyduck, thinking this plan was stupid, especially if this Eevee won't do anything useful. "Just as long as they attack all at once, they can't hurt you." She said, and Tanta focused on all those around her. The latent psychic energy powering up in the air around them had begun to give both her and Yua a headache, but Tanta's eyes twinkled as her body shifted almost in a dance-like motion, able to dodge most of their attacks by figuring out where they were going to attack.

Meanwhile, Yua carefully went around the group of Psyduck before running headlong towards the river, wondering where Kawa was. "Kawa!" She yelled, her eyes scanning the water's surface for a human figure, only to see he was largely okay. "Phew, here." She held out her hand, failing to realize there was a Psyduck behind her, staring at her with glowing eyes. Oshawott's scalchop glowed dark as she brandished it, but the Psyduck's obliviousness kept them from being terrified. The Psyduck behind Yua fired off a wave of psychic energy, shoving Yua right off her feet. Eyes widening and then squinting as a sudden migraine rocketed through her brain and made her body feel weak, she flipped around in a somersault over Kawa before splashing into the water behind him, landing on her shoulders as she crashed through the surface, the Magikarp quickly swimming away.

This was when she realized... She had no idea how to swim. Fear surged through her, but it was soon replaced with desperate fury as she tried to flap her arms up like wings and managed to get some lift. Kicking her legs proved futile however as she just creeped up to the surface. Her fingers barely broke the surface of the water, but she was just barely floating there before her body tried descending. Her lungs burned, and her body so desperately wanted to breathe.

Oh fuck, what have I done?

Etsuko Joy - Team Platinum - Obsidian Fieldlands - Aspiration Hills - Day 1
Etsuko smiled back a bit at Kei and listened to her formulating a plan on how to reach the berries. She was right that it was dangerous to go and climb and what the Diamond clan girl came up with seemed to be a solid idea. It seemed to work at least as some berries began to fall and Etsuko quickly took off the scarf on her head to put somewhere she could store the berries. Some rotten berries splattered onto the ground and a bunch of them were half eaten by pokemon, most likely by Starly and Wurmple, so those were inedible for humans.

Though the young Joy did manage to find a couple of good berries and plucked up and dusted them off before placing them in the makeshift pouch made from her uniform head-scarf. It wasn't a lot but it was a start at least.

Crouching down to inspect yet, Etsuko heard something rustle in the tree above and looked up. What met her eyes was a Wurmple that had made the berry tree its napping place and had now fallen into the pink haired girl's arms. She had dropped the gathered berries and yelled out in fear. The little bug pokemon cried out in panic as well since it had been woken up from its nap in a rather rude manner and now was in the arms of a human. Etsuko's shrieking didn't help at all and only seemed to scare the Wurmple more as it defended itself by spraying out white silky string at the girl's face. That made Etsuko drop the bug pokemon as she went to get the webbing off her face and hair, which was now a tangled mess.

"AAIIEEE- Get this off of me!"

Benkyo Taipu - Team Platinum - Obsidian Fieldlands - Floaro Garden - Day 1

Benkyo turned, hearing the Beautifly cry again. His plan was half-baked, but he found little alternative but to-
Something bounced off the Beautifly, barely harming it, but sure as hell pissing it off. Benkyo glanced down at the rock, then at the offender who, lo and behold, was his partner.
"Whoah, hey." he didn't want to get her involved, especially not like this! Benkyo ran towards Yuki, but the incline was now working against him, giving the Beautifly an edge in speed.
"No, wait. No no no-"
The Beautifly dropped like a rock, out cold.
"-ooooo....?" he trailed off, stunned. Whatever Yuki's Ralts (Data Insufficient: Further research needed) did, it seemed to pacify the previously savage pokemon. Honestly in its current state it was even kind of cute, but knowing the horrors untold, Benkyo simply nodded at Yuki, ignoring the unga-bunga speak for now.
"Uh, sure. Might as well get back to camp and see if we can't get this guy healed up."

12 PM

It was lucky the garden was so close to the camp. Benkyo managed administer some antidote from the camp, drop off the Starly, and leave it to rest before going back to his research, figuring he'd go back to check up on it later. Still, he was a little cautious after the Beautifly incident, so he chose to study the garden from the hills surrounding it, dangling his feet over an edge while he watched through his binoculars.
Of course, he was also working on little sleep, so he figured he should study one of the more...unique pokemon there.
The Alpha Luxio.
So far it spent most of its time lying about, yet few pokemon dared to approach its territory, save for some Shinx(Electric Type, tends to glow when threatened) walking close by. Were they a pack, or did the Shinx line simply not fight between each other? And how did they generate electricity? Benkyo scribbled in his Encyclopedia, intending to find out.

~Bo...~

Bo sat there for a bit. He saw Rick get kicked into the water. With little reaction, he wondered if the boy was gonna be fine and if he should help. Before he could decide on whether he would or not, the boy's ponyta did the deed, so Bo continued to rest and relax.

Day one(skip/noon)

Bo once again resting up against a tree. He had seen a few species of pokémon by this point. Nothing particularly interesting, but he caught one. A wurmple. He spent a little while trying to train it. For the most part, the wurmple simply ran. Which didn't help much because it didn't get far. Eventually Bo got to s point where the wurmple stopped running off. Though it still didn't like getting picked up yet. Baby steps.

Though now Bo had bigger problems. What was he gonna do now? Bo contemplated his next course of action. He'd either head south or head east. Possibly both. Either way, he wanted to get a little more research in his encyclopedia done.

Rick [HP: 15/20]
Day 1 - Aspiration Hill, Obsidian Fieldlands

Rick sat down by a tree with his ponyta nearby, resting a bit and waiting for his cloths to dry with help from the filly's flames. At that time, his belly was already starting to grumble from hunger. He actualy hadn't eat anything so far. He wasted breakfast time chasing after the ponyta in the morning, not to mention the energy spent on said chase plus the push-ups. Complete opposite of the ponyta, who pretty much walked on a plate and had food at her disposition every time.

The menu also wasn't much satisfying, either. Apricorns were hard as heck, grass was worse than salad, and berries... they were mostly good, but nowhere to be seen. And meat just runs away from you. And then Rick remembered what he had in his beltpocket. "Wait a second." He muttered, as he pulled out the fainted Starly from his pouch. He inspected the bird in his hand from all sides, rolling his eyes and thinking. "What does it taste like?"

Rick didn't know how to start a fire. Then again, he also didn't need to, as he had a walking flame resting right next to him. So he put the starly on the ponyta's back, and waited for her flames to do the rest. Since the ponyta is not a murderer though, he would be waiting for his lunch for several hours. Despite the fact that she has been walking on tall grass without seting everything ablaze, Rick still hadn't figured out that she could control the temperature of her flames in order to not burn what she didn't want to burn.

Eventualy, the starly woke up. Rick's eyes widened. Quite the opposite of what he expected to happen. He flinched as the starly lunged and flaped its wings right in Rick's face, before flying away. Not knowing what the hell just happened, he reached out his hand onto the ponyta's back. At that point, the filly had already raised her flames to unbearable temperatures resulting in a burn. "Hell, it's hot!" He yelled, shaking his hand wildly and running to the river to put it on water. He then took out his pokedex and opened it on Starly's page.

"Feathers are highly resistant to fire. Cofirmed via test." He wrote.

Day One Team Platinum, Noon

The worst had happened, Kawa's own incompetence had caused one of his teammates to get into trouble. He had to fix it as soon as possible and consider his punishment for such mistake later. Kawa turned around and began swimming towards Yua, trying his best to reach out to her, but his hand getting constantly slapped away or even scratched. She didn't seem like she would cooperate much, so he would have to take things into his own hands. He took a deep breath and swam down towards the his teammate. After grabbing her arm and pulling her towards him, he placed his arm around her waist and swam upwards, putting as much effort into his legs as possible, having to properly swim for two.

"Hold your head up and breath!" He called out once they broke the surface, "Don't move so much!"

Kague felt a small breath of relief when she saw Ka brining Yua back, but she now had to worry for her own life and maybe consider Tanta's. The Eevee leaped in front of the Oshawott and began using her Sand-Attack on the Psyduck. This seemed to only annoy the ducks more, but at the same time they started using their abilities in random directions, even hitting each other sometimes. Kague felt confident but she needed to prove to Kawa she could work well with a team. The Eevee faced the Oshawott and smiled, a white energy coming of out her body and transfering to the water Pokemon while Kague began stomping her front paws joyfully, Helping Hand.

As Kawa felt his foot finally touch the bottom of the river, he used both arms to hold Yua tight and make his way to shore, "Are you alive?" Was the only question he could think of making before turning around to see for himself.

Day 1, Noon
Location: Horseshoe Plains, Obsidian Fieldlands
Pokémon: Tanta the Oshawott
Trainer HP: 15/20
Condition(s)
:
Bandaged (Wounds are covered and are healing properly);
Migraine (Due to latent Psychic energy, causes mental fatigue and decisions aren't as thought out. Higher chance of freezing during a pivotal moment);
Muscular Fatigue (Due to nearly drowning and swimming erratically, her body has penalties to any activities that require stamina and/or strength)

Interactions: Kawa Ko and Kague the Eevee (Hecotoro)
Mentions: N/A

Tanta was staring at Yua's figure being thrown into the water by a Psyduck and she reached a fever pitch in anger. Watching Kague spread the sand everywhere, she was just about to use a move when she looked back at her. Pausing for a moment with a scalchop in the air, she watched as the Eevee used a move that empowered her. Feeling the added strength, Tanta smirked and regarded the Normal-Type with a bit more respect before her scalchop became cloaked in dark energy, to which she charged at the nearest Psyduck and swiped. The energy within the Night Slash did a bit more damage than normal due to its easily cutting ability, and Tanta managed to fight back a couple of the Psyduck with her Night Slash and Kague's added power bonus.

Meanwhile, Yua had passed out after breathing in some of the water. It burned her nostrils and her lungs, and she passed out soon after. If it weren't for Kawa's insistence, she would have likely sunk to the bottom of the river. When they broke the surface, her head was facing down, her body practically limp. When they finally touched land and she was set down, there was a deafening silence as Kawa asked the only sane question he could think of. The cries of the Psyduck and the warring Oshawott were practically nonexistent.

Fifteen seconds after the question, Yua coughed and gasped, the water being vomited out of her lungs with sickening retching noises. Her arms found land and she looked up to see Kawa, relief and respect in her gaze, but also confusion furrowing her brow. "Wh... How long was I out?" She said in a haze, her voice breathy and raspy due to the coughing and the water. "Th-... Thanks." She murmured, smiling like a goof now that she was safe, despite the lingering migraine that was threatening to make her see stars. She looked up to notice her Oshawott slashing the Psyduck, but realized her Oshawott likely didn't have the stamina to continue before those Confusions and Fury Swipes started taking their toll.

"We have to-" she coughed, making her head pound and she winced. "-grr... get out of here. Quick, before those psychic attacks hurt our Pokemon too much." She said with a shrill urgency in her voice, which only made her angrier and fight back against the exhaustion her body was screaming at her with. She shakily got up, but found herself cold from the water's clutches and her body felt so tired... She just wanted to sleep. But she denied herself that luxury. They couldn't. After nearly drowning, she was able to stand up on her own and circle around the fight, waiting for the right chance to help and run.

Kawa held his breath while he waited for a reaction from Yua, until finally she have signs of life. Now he knew that she would be tired, Ka had been trained for this kind of situations and so he had to take action. He admired Yua's will to try and help, but if she passed out she would be a burden.

"Kague and Clown Warrior, we must escape!" He called out to the two Pokemon.

Kague nodded and stood next to Tanta, her body gathering energy before realizing another Swift attack, causing the Psyduck to step back a bit. Kawa took the opportunity to pick up Yua and throw her over his right shoulder.

"Hold on."

Kague threw a Sand-Attack at the ducks and then turned to face Kawa. The ninja nodded at the two Pokemon and broke into a sprint, running away from the river bank as fast as he could. The Psyduck didn't seem that interested in chasing them though and soon the group was out of danger.

"Want me to put you down?" Kawa said after finally stopping under a tree, "I can take you back to the camp."

Kague let out a loud purr as she stretched out, digging her claws into the dirt before curling up on the ground, going for a quick nap, proud to have saved the day.

Being called Clown Warrior had hurt the pride of the Oshawott, but when she saw how much Yua was struggling, she just scowled. Yeah, they will escape. Upon seeing the Eevee spread her stars everywhere, she cloaked herself in water and charged towards the Psyduck, bashing a couple Psyducks away with minimal damage. It barely even bothered them.

It was when she heard a yell from her trainer did she consider retreating, looking over to see the tired, yet fiery young woman get hauled onto a shoulder and being ran off with. It was a little hilarious to her.

Yua wasn't expecting to be picked up, wanting to hold her Oshawott but this'll have to do. "H-hey! Come on, I can run!" She didn't struggle though. She was too tired to and she didn't want Kawa falling over because her pride was bruised. She finally conceded, sighing in defeat. "Fiiine..."

The Oshawott wasn't as fast as the humans nor as the Eevee. Her stubby legs were practically non-existent as she only had her flippered feet to run with. However, after running off a short distance, she noticed the Psyduck weren't willing to chase after them too far from the riverbank, which had the Oshawott sighing in relief. She finally did catch up, panting as she was tired from the day's events and having to run such a long distance.

Upon being asked to be put down, Yua gave the back of his head an incredulous, unimpressed stare. "Ah, no, just leave me up on your shoulder so I can suck even more strength from you than what's necessary." Her tone dripped with sarcasm. However, she cooled her jets and sighed. "Yeah... Might as well set me down..."

When he said he could take her back to camp, she tried slipping off his shoulder and shook her head wildly. "Fuck that, I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying out here for the full twenty-four hours as was expected of me. If I can't do that, then I'm not cut out to be a part of the Survey Corps ranks and everyone will still think of me as some kind of stupid freeloader who can't do anything right." The passionate defensiveness had her pausing and she closed her eyes, sighing again. "S-sorry... Just... Today's been weird. Forgot to say that Psyduck were normally docile until you attack them..." She looked away, leaning against the tree, her legs close to her chest as she held her head and set her forehead on her knees. With her pride bruised and everything in question, Yua didn't know what she was doing. She thought she knew and would seem less like a failure, but everything just wasn't going well today. She hoped that the next few times they were out here, she'd be a lot more successful.

After a pause, she spoke again. "My head hurts... Damn psychic energy..." She muttered, just trying to find some semblance of relaxation amongst her aching muscles and pulsing mind.

"Staying with your mission until the end?" Kawa sat down next to Yua, spreading his legs out and leaning back, "I respect that. I would do the same."

Despite the bad luck they had been having, Ka actually felt inspired to improve. If Pokemon had pushed them to their limits so fast in such a short time, then it was a matter of moments before they went beyond their limit. Was it the power of Pokemon? Could those creatures bring out the best in humans? If so, Kawa couldn't wait to unlock more of his potential.

"Sorry you had to try and save me. I shouldn't have made such a simple mistake like tripping in front of the enemy." Kawa took out one of his Full Heals and offered it to Yua, "Here, they're for Pokemon, but maybe they can help with your headache, since it was caused by a Pokemon." He wasn't sure if it would work, but he didn't have anything else on him.

Kague skipped over to Tanta, sitting next to her with a proud smile. She figured Tanta did maybe help a bit in the battle and deserved to share the credit for their escape.

"So you joined to prove to everyone that you're not a freeloader?" Kawa didn't make eye contact with Yua, asking personal questions wasn't his thing, but he needed to make them if he wanted to be a good leader.

Kei couldn't help but laugh as Etsuko got hit by a String Shot. "Et-Etsuko. S-Stand still!" She said, almost doubling over from laughter as she walked over towards Etsuko and helped remove the String Shot. Letting out one final hearty laugh, the Diamond Clan girl tucked some hair behind her ear. "You got lucky it was just String Shot, a Poison Sting would be more detrimental to your health." She said, picking up the berries at a surprising speed as Mochi had seen the berries on the ground and had made it her duty to get rid of the inedible berries.

As the Hippopotas saw the Wurmple, she opened her large mouth in a threat display. She was not going to share her prize with anyone, these berries belonged to her! Letting out a cry to scare the Wurmple off, she clamped her jaws shut before opening them again. Kei meanwhile had gathered all the usable berries and handed them to Etsuko, before distracting Mochi by feeding her the berries that were deemed inedible.

Etsuko Joy - Team Platinum - Obsidian Fieldlands - Aspiration Hills - Day 1
Etsuko's face turned bright red out of embarrassment as Kei laughed. The pink haired girl tried her best to remove the silk off of her, but it wasn't the easiest thing. Fortunately the diamond clan girl helped her out in removing the String Shot out of her face and hair, but some seemed to stick to her hair stubbornly, but they got most of it out at least.

"Y-yeah you're right," Etsuko stuttered trying to calm herself down from the shock and embarrassment, "Thank you, Kei for the help," she said and accepted the picked berries once again.

The Wurmple let out another scared cry as Mochi opened her maw, proving her scare-tactic to be effective as the Worm pokemon quickly scurried away in a panic. Thus letting the Hippo pokemon eat her berries in peace. In the end the two girls were only left with two Oran berries each. Grabbing two of them she handed them to Kei, "Here. Your share, both since we both worked to get these and also as a thanks,"

Phoenix Joy - Obsidian Fields - Aspiration Hill - Day 1

Phoenix was not in the best of moods. It would seem that anything to do with mission had started to get on his nerves and it would seem that he would rather be anywhere else but there. He would also wanted to get rid of his teammate who was more interested in staying out of the way of pokemon. With a quick movement, Phoenix brought out a PokeBall that came out of his bag, and tried to tap the Caterpie on the head with it. The big type was more agile then most as it would wiggle around until the ball missed its head and would go passed it. Phoenix finally was able to hold the bug type still long enough for him to be able to press the ball to it. With one shake, he did not know what would happen, with two shakes he was eager to see if the mon was caught, when the last shake was done, and a click was heard, Phoenix smiled as he caught his new friend. Well he hoped the pokemon would be a friend.

Before Phoenix could stand, a growl could be heard from his left side. It would seem that before Phoenix could notice, a large dog like pokemon had found him, and he was not happy that a human would trap another pokemon in ones of the pokeballs. Phoenix was not happy to see the Growlithe that made it's presence known. With a burst of flame, Phoenix rushed to the side, and almost made it out of the fire before he was on his feet. He moved as fast as he could in the direction of his partner. Kit was at his side and was moving faster then most as she would use bursts of speed to dash away, though she would circle back to make sure Phoenix would be with her.

HP: 20/20

"Don't mention it, you're not the first to get sprayed and won't be the last." Kei said, grinning at her as she waved away her thanks. However, she did accept the two Oran Berries and stored them away. "Aww, you're too kind!" She said, ruffling up Etsuko's hair before recalling Mochi who was resting in the sunlight.

"It's not a lot, but it is a good start. Let's continue, maybe we will find more Pokémon this way? We know that there are Wurmple around here, so maybe we can find some evolutions of them as well?" The Diamond Clan girl asked, nodding at a tree.

Rick [HP: 15/20]
Day 1 - Aspiration Hill, Obsidian Fieldlands

"Meh... a few setbacks, but we're making progresses." Rick told to Tatsu, as the man came to check on him. Rick blew at his burnt hand, before he looked at the Shinx next to Tatsu. "So you have a new aquaintance already. Well, the one I caught most recently just flew away, and I'm still learning the ropes on how to handle this one." He said, pointing at the ponyta. She stared at Rick's burn as he put the hand on water again to relieve the pain a bit. Then she ran towards what's supposedly Horseshoe Plains.

"Oh?! And just like that, she ran away, too." Rick said, sighing and facepalming. "Welp! Guess we're back to playing tag again. Good thing is I haven't seen any seemingly threatening pokémon so far that requires a bodyguard. Ironicaly, she's probably the most dangerous thing I've come across, as you may have noticed." Rick explained, raising his injured hand for Tatsu to see... and also forgeting he couldn't see. Unknowingly to Rick, there was a Starly on top of the nearest tree. As the bird chirped at him, Rick looked up. And judging by the bump on its head, it seemed familiar. "Ah... speaking of the devil." He muttered.

~Bo Bo Bo...~

Bo sat there watching Rick and Tatsu interact back and fourth. Not many bugs to be had here. He then looked at Boa, then at the sun setting. Then back at Boa. Seconds turned into minutes passing by, and Bo still had very little accomplished. Bo could only wonder what other groups at this point were up to.

Bo simply laid there and rolled over. Like a slowpoke in the mud. This was not going anywhere, and for the most part, Bo wasn't really all that concerned. Though if Bo went back to headquarters, Sizu would no doubt yell at him for his incompetency. Bo could probably tune her yelling out pretty easy, but Sizu would probably just yell louder. To avoid getting in any sort of trouble, Bo figured he might as well do something.

Bo sat up, and leaned forward. Groaning as he stood up. "Well damn..." Bo muttered to himself.

"Nope. I still don't wanna" Bo said now leaning against the tree, but Boa was having none of it anymore. The bug began to crawl off.

"Now what" Bo said looking at his nincada. Bo looked back at the other two, Rick and Tatsu.

"I think I'm gonna go head that way, you guys okay out here?" Bo said pointing south. Bo grabbed his nincada and placed him on his head before covering the bug up with his straw hat. There was a bridge not far from their location. Bo could vaguely see it in the distance as he looked further down the hill. Bo was contempt there wasn't much to do do in this area.

If he were to go off on his own, he'd really need to utilize stealth to his advantage. That and be careful which pokémon he interacted with. He did not need to go off and deal with a alpha pokémon on his own. Or a pokémon he couldn't handle alone. Though some training in general would be helpful for ensuring safety. Maybe find some easy pokémon to battle. Boa could certainly use the experience. Without much further adieu, Bo eventually reached the bridge.

Yua Yamamoto

Day 1, Noon
Location: Horseshoe Plains, Obsidian Fieldlands
Pokémon: Tanta the Oshawott
Trainer HP: 15/20
Condition(s)
:
Bandaged (Wounds are covered and are healing properly);
Migraine (Due to latent Psychic energy, causes mental fatigue and decisions aren't as thought out. Higher chance of mentally freezing during a pivotal moment);
Muscular Fatigue (Due to nearly drowning and swimming erratically, her body has penalties to any activities that require stamina and/or strength)

Interactions: Kawa Ko and Kague the Eevee (Hecotoro)
Mentions: N/A

It felt good to hear that someone actually respected her for something. It made her feel a bit more comfortable as she laid back into the tree, watching her Oshawott puff out her chest and even congratulate the Eevee for helping out with a cheery, yet cocky grin. And for recognizing her talents, even if it wasn't showcased well against the Psyduck.

On the opposite spectrum, Yua's instant gratification nature proved detrimental to her well-being. All she saw was failure. Failure after failure. The Burmy incident was funny, and Tanta actually listened, but then the stuff with the Psyduck and the stupid shirt? Ugh, she felt like shit. It was just obstacles she'd have to overcome. She didn't really see it as Pokemon helping or hindering people, she just saw it as bad luck and obstacles where she'd just have to get better at, but that didn't mean it wasn't frustrating.

She nearly drowned...

She looked at the Full Heal offered, then looked up at Kawa as he apologized. She just sighed and smiled, taking the Full Heal and looking over the vial in her hand. His idea was sound, but it was also flawed. These things didn't work on humans. Being the resident punching bag, she knew all too well.

Hearing the question, her legs finally stretched out, head resting against the bark as her tired eyes watched the leaves above her shift and dance. "Yeah. I have been causing a lot of trouble in Jubilife Village. My mom works at shops, my dad's an explorer and works with Cyllene, and my brothers have all taken jobs as either being a part of the Security or Construction Corps. But me being me, I didn't try to become disciplined and following these people's way of life and just focused on myself. Kinda selfish of me, but when I realized I could get thrown out if it weren't for my dad vouching for me and my possible yet unseen usefulness, I practically begged him to put me on as part of the Survey Corps. Cyllene thought it was a great idea. I mean, why not send away someone who's been a nuisance in the village and hope she does some work and maybe also die out here? Yeah, everything goes smoothly because freeloader nuisance called Yua isn't in the way." Her pessimism came back and she scowled at nothing but the leaves. "Sorry... Just bummed we had a rough day today and I have a migraine. I know Cyllene means well and wants to see me succeed along with my father. I just can't help but see it as them just getting rid of me. Like, I wanted this, but I didn't want them to possibly have that reason as I go into this..." She had no proof that they thought the way they did. She was just thinking the worst.

Her pessimism had Tanta pausing and looking at her. Did... She really think that? That her own kind hated her and wanted her to work in a dangerous environment and hoped she died? Maybe she shouldn't be so hard on her... Tanta looked down at her scalchop, pulling it off her belly as she gazed at it, her face stoic.

"Don't apologize for having me attempt to save you, Kawa. It's fine. That's what the buddy system is for. We're supposed to look out for each other. What kind of a partner and friend would I be if I didn't try to save you? Even if it would hurt me?" She smiled as she peered over to Kawa beside her, before looking down at the Full Heal, brandishing it tiredly as she spoke about it. "Also, cute. But uh... I have three of these and I'm pretty sure these only work on Pokemon. I'll just have to wait for the migraine to go away." She sighed, her eyes closing again.

"So, I know you're a part of the Pearl Clan. But why help Jubilife Village? What's in it for you guys? Thought we were just hampering on your space." She remembered getting one of the Pearl clan members angry and they used that reason as to why they were upset. It was honestly a little funny, if not a bit childish.

Day One, Team Platinum, past noon:

"We share this big space with a lot of people and Pokemon." Kawa opened his bag and took out a piece of paper, "Some figured it was a good idea to learn who our neighbors are and more importantly who are our enemies." He handed the piece of paper to Yua, which had the Pearl Clan symbol and a smaller insignia under it. "If Jubilife Village doesn't want you, you're welcome to join the Pearl Clan. Someone who is willing to risk their life for a comrade automatically earns a spot in our family."

Kague yawned and sat back, scratched the back of her right ear eagerly while waiting for something else to happen. So far, being partnered with a ninja had been a lot of fun, even getting to meet a clown warrior, who knew those existed. But if she had to choose a partner Pokemon, the Oshawott was a possible choice.

"You can take a nap, I'll keep watch with Kague and your warrior Pokemon. We can rest for about an hour or so and then move on. I think we gathered some pretty good information, especially on the not golden Psyducks."

Day 1, Past noon

Yua watched curiously as he spoke and drew something. Scouting it out like that made a lot of sense. She blinked a couple times before grabbing the paper. It... No... It couldn't be...

He was inviting her into his clan???

Her eyes misted up immediately. This was... So odd, why was she so happy? Someone actually wanted to accept her? Was this what she had been missing out on? Even after saying what she did, he still wanted her to join? She gritted her teeth to keep herself from crying, looking up as he said she could take a nap. She chuckled a little at the Psyducks being called 'not golden' before sitting up and hugging Kawa around his shoulders, tears of joy dripping down her face. She sniffled as she pulled away, a small smile on her face as she gazed at the paper that symbolized not only the clan but the place she could possibly better belong in. "Thanks... You have no idea how much this means to me... Ever since I came to Hisui, I always felt like the odd one out."

Yua then leaned back into the tree, her eyelids drooping as she folded the paper up neatly and set it in her pouch. "Yeah... I should get some sleep. Maybe this migraine will go away when I wake up. Wake me up if there's any danger."

Yawning, she looked at her Oshawott, who finally looked up at her after staring at her scalchop for a while. The Water-Type walked up to Yua, then smiled a little as she tried putting the scalchop on her belly, only for it to fall. Chuckling, Yua scooped up the disappointed Water-Type in an arm and hugged her, nuzzling her face into the white furs of her head. "Thanks, Tanta." Unsure of why her trainer was suddenly so emotional or why she liked that so much, Tanta could only guess that Yua knew what Oshawott was trying to mean with it, and got comfortable in her trainer's embrace, setting the scalchop back on her own belly as the two let the exhaustions of the day take them to la-la-land.

Of course, it took Yua a bit to fall asleep, her mind constantly on Kawa now and hoping he'll be alright while she slept.

"Um..." Kawa froze as Yua hugged him, not being used to such things, it was like a handshake with both arms. He didn't say anything though, one, because he didn't know what to say and two, he felt Yua needed whatever had just happened. "Kague and Clown Warrior, let's do our best."

Kawa got up and walked a bit ahead, looking around for possible enemies or the mighty Psyduck. Although some Pokemon were wondering about, none seemed interested in going their way. However Ka now had a different thought in his head. Should he add more Pokemon to his team? They all seemed like formidable foes and they would certainly be useful in their quest, but how could one simply recruit a Pokemon? He took out one of the Pokeballs and looked at it. His father said they were made to safely transport Pokemon from one place to another, but it seemed Pokemon already moved throughout the world without the need of anyone's help. In fact, they were better at it than humans.

"Kague, stay alert." Ka looked over his shoulder, catching the Eevee in the act of sneaking towards him, "Cover the northern side, Clown Warrior can defend Yua."

Kague's ears flopped down as she turned around and jogged to the opposite side of Kawa. She wanted to take a nap also, she had been doing most of the heavy lifting.

Day one, Around 5.

"Yua, we need to keep going." Kawa poked Yua's shoulder with a stick on her shoulder.

While his teammate rested, Ka had found out that filling in the Pokemon Encyclopedia was quite entertaining, except that his drawings were awful. That's fine though, the information was the important factor. He had added information on the bushy worms that had dropped from the tree and the Psyduck that weren't Golduck but still dangerous. He marked their possible locations and the attacks he had seen them perform. The rest of the time he had made a small snack, just apple cut into sliced with a bit of lemon juice on them, nothing too great, but he had been trained to survive long hours with a little bit of food in his stomach.

"There's some apple slices left." He pointed at the pile of leaves that had apple slices on them, "We should bring a plate next time."

Kague arose from her nap with a big yawn, proudly having defended her side of the improvised camp site. Once again, she had done everything on her own.

"We can try and study some nocturnal Pokemon and then head back to camp, will you be okay?"
