Anyone want to post before I make my post concerning the Blastoise battle, or should I just go for it?
I guess I could post something before, but whatever I do, it won't affect anything and would be of a reaction than anything, so I won't complain if you post first.
I'll just make it so Iris isn't doing anything because Solar Beams won't do anything while that twister is going, and instead she's absorbing enough sunlight to transform and actually start having an impact.

FINALLY!!!! A CHARACTER SHEET OF REGGIE!!

Pokemon section COMPLETE!!

Name: Reginald Valerias
Nickname: Reggie, Reg
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Age: 21
D.O.B.: August 1
Birth Place: Hearthome City, Sinnoh
Hometown: Opelucid City, Unova
Trainer Class: Pokémon Trainer, Coordinator, Resident Goofball
Physical Appearance: Reggie stands at 5’11” (180 cm) with barely noticeable working muscle, and he’s got cake where it counts, being 160 lbs (72.57 kg) where his genetics and adventures have saved him from being too chunky. In other words, he’s pretty average. He has short, blond hair usually combed back, and his eyes shine a bright blue sapphire. He’s also rather pale, his face having a sharp jawline, which makes him look a bit silly when he’s goofing around.
Clothing: He usually wears something pretty close to travel-okay business-casual clothing. He has dark grey dress pants, black dress shoes, black socks, a purple trainer belt with PokeBall slots, a dark purple dress shirt, and a green XTransceiver on his right wrist. He also has a simple black phone that should have a Rotom, but is fit with a sim card instead. Finishing off his look, he has a black dress coat with golden cuff buttons and a yellow and red striped bowtie. He occasionally wears a black trilby with a hot pink striped sash around the base. He absolutely loves his trilby and will make sure it doesn't get damaged or lost.

For more casual clothes when he knows he'll get dirty, he has black hiking boots, baggy dark grey pants, a simple t-shirt with a silhouette of a Giratina, his purple trainer belt, and a grey coat with red and black stripes on the front, yellow spiked pockets and cuffs, and the hoodie has yellow fluff around the hood's edges. Wherever he goes, he has a large ruddy red camping backpack on his back that holds items for a small pot, a small tent, bowls, utensils, rations, extra clothes, hygiene equipment, rope, and other such items used for a Pokemon journey that isn't just survival.
Personality/Inner Machinations:
  • Theatrical, Extroverted, Attention-Seeking, Friendly, Goofy, Flirtatious
    • Really loud and physical but in a friendly-not-creepy way.
      • While he knows that others aren’t too keen on being touched by complete strangers and he tries his best not to side hug them when he barely knows them, he has a hard time reminding himself this when excited. He also constantly forgets he needs to be quiet.
    • A little egotistical. Likes to focus all attention on himself by moving around; very animated.
      • He does have quite the ego, but he does understand he’s not all that. He just chooses not to see himself in a worse light because he’d rather not spiral. His constant movements actually came from very egotistical and theatrical characters he saw on TV - whether it be cartoons, anime, or contests - and he thought they were absolutely cool. He started incorporating what they did into his daily life and it just stuck since.
    • Optimistic
      • Giving with compliments, sees the best in people, usually the first to say ideas or agree and expand on others’ ideas. This stems from him being a child at heart and having seen that being friendly and sweet usually wins over. Plus, he’s grown up in a very stable home and had very stable friendships. If he likes something someone does with him, then he’s going to do it to others.
    • Confident, maybe a bit too confident.
      • Oversells his ability and ignores the possible dislike from others. Not because he doesn’t believe that they dislike him or they are beneath him so their opinions don’t matter, but he just doesn’t really care what others think of him, unless they are his friends (because if he knows them and they know him, he can trust their judgment). He can also be humble, but when he’s excited he tends to forget key details or things that are common knowledge (especially when he works off theories and ideas in battle and not practical experience).
    • Sore Loser
      • Because of his confidence, he may act out as a sore loser, or seem like he’s cracking until he tries to use his optimism to make him seem like he can’t handle a loss. It slips more when he’s really tired or when there isn’t a lot of people watching. However, most of his sore-loser actions are towards himself, berating himself for not remembering or not being as creative, while still trying to pass off as a good sport and complimenting the other person. This stems from the discipline he received, and instead of letting it go, he’s internalized it. This also stems from wanting to show off and - if he does it poorly - he believes his parents and the gym leader will look down on him.
    • Jokester; tries to lighten the mood or deflect complaints about himself with jokes
      • Gets a bit too uncomfortable when he can’t be light-hearted about it to ease himself. He also very much dislikes being disliked or hated by people he considers his friends. He can take criticism, they just have to be tact.
    • Friendly Flirt
      • It doesn’t matter who you are, he’ll try to get you to smile or blush by giving a compliment, maybe have them see he’s a good guy to date (only for people around his age). And if they can have some banter with it back and forth? Even better.
    • Vain
      • Absolutely hates getting dirty, won’t even do it for a friend. If he is going to a place where it is obvious he’ll get dirty, then he’ll have to mentally prepare beforehand (and get a different change of clothes) before he can semi-enjoy his journey. This stems from his rich childhood and always having everything clean and rarely going outside to play.
  • Hyperactive, a little disorganized, but emotionally attentive and curious.
    • He notices everything, and promptly forgets half of said everything. He tends to go by emotions first than what’s logical, as he found going by the heart (even though it’s cliche) is far better when he sees body language or hears tonal shifts that someone is not doing well. In fact, his attention tends to be pulled when someone is brooding, wanting to be alone, or are upset or angry, and he doesn’t want to leave them alone thinking he can help them or get to know them to help.
      • Stems from how he is naturally and trying to instill cliches that he liked and saw from cartoons, anime, and other media into his life. Sort of sees life as a story and he’s the main character.
  • Gets attached too easily
    • Loyal
      • Sometimes jumps to conclusions in favor of his friends, but means well. He’ll do anything for them, even sacrifice something of his (whether it be materialistic or time). The only things he’ll have a hard time sacrificing would be his trilby. This can also mean he’ll be a bit gullible unless he knows the answer himself. This is from learning that a really good friend is one who won’t lie to you and say it how it is (beyond the context of jokes).
    • Unrequited friendships and crushes
      • It has happened one too many times. He has learned from it, but his excitement and hyped nature tends to make him forget the lessons he’s learned before. He may attach himself to people who don’t see him in the same way, become disillusioned and defensive when they tell him they don’t see him in the same way, and then mourn afterwards after cutting them off completely. This is the only time he really ever gets any shame, and it’s from how he acts with others and how he’s let it happen again. This stems from his possible ADHD, as well as just wanting to be the ideal friend for everyone.
    • Misunderstandings and Paranoia
      • When his friend insults him (even in the context of humor but if Reggie didn’t notice it) or they criticize him too harshly and are not tactful with him, Reggie will get paranoid and start to think they actually just hate him, and that he’s been doing all these kind things for them for nothing. This usually can be solved with a simple conversation, but unless someone instigates it, he will just let it eat at him and suffer from it before he ultimately breaks ties with them. This stems from the fear of getting close to someone and realizing who they are as a person has been hidden from him from when it has happened to him in his past. He will lose trust in how he views them, which comes out as him losing trust in that person either way.
    • Hopeless Romantic
      • Very sweet, he maybe tries a bit too hard and fantasizes about the ideal when things won’t work out that way. If it doesn’t, he attempts to take it in stride, but finds it difficult not to be disappointed. This stemmed from his possible ADHD.
    • Nosy
      • He doesn’t really mean it, but he just wants to make sure he understands the person well and helps them when he can. It can get annoying and he usually profusely apologizes for asking so many questions.
    • Selfless to a fault
      • He’s been burned out before by being too kind and sacrificing too much of his time (especially if those he gives to keep taking and never give back), and this results in him losing his normal cheery attitude. He has to pull up a facade of one when around friends so they don’t worry, but he’s at least upfront when he says he’s not doing well. However, he can’t help himself from helping others when they need it, even if they don’t want his help and prefer it if he relaxed.
    • Trust issues after platonic/romantic “break up” (even if unrequited).
      • After realizing the person is not good for him or was never a friend/lover to him in the first place, he has a really hard time thinking of them as anything else other than the pain he received from them and the pain he caused them. It takes more time to rebuild that trust again, and he becomes far more standoffish, direct, and impatient. He believes that if the two friends who know each other well have problems, they talk it out without resorting to throwing shade or being generally mean-spirited about one another. This is why he doesn’t care if strangers insult him or try to bring him down.
  • Trained Professionalism
    • Respectful and Polite
      • He forgoes his slang and cheery attitude to seem more impressive to those who are high up on the “ladder”. Stemmed from having to be appropriate when meeting those his parents work with. It is not his preferred way of being, however.
  • Mental Disorders/Powers
    • Insomnia/Chronic Nightmares - His mind races towards all things eerie and uncanny, and it makes it difficult for him to want to sleep, let alone staying asleep once he gets there (this is exacerbated when he’s too excited). Once he sleeps, the subjects his mind goes to when he sleeps are literal nightmare fuel, and he has to have a Psychic-Type with Dream Eater (or in his case, his Munna) to eat his dreams so he can sleep peacefully. Due to not sleeping, he forgets things more often (even when he’s in the middle of talking), finds it harder to stay awake, and makes him more anxious and paranoid when things set him off.
      • This is caused from being around malevolent spiritual artifacts that his parents brought home when he was very young. At the time, he was very susceptible and vulnerable to the energy and it has manifested into insomnia.
    • Possible ADHD - Being born with this, Reggie acts more like a child than his age when he gets excited, but that doesn’t mean he’s not responsible. He also attaches way too easily and quickly, gets anxious easily (especially when under a gamut of emotions), and his attention span tends to make him forget what he’s talking about or common things he should remember (like type immunities and what move is which type) and this is exacerbated by his insomnia.
      • This is just something he’s born with.
    • Spirit Sense - Can sense spirits (whether just feeling their presence, or actually seeing/hearing/smelling that they are there). He can also see invisible Ghost-Types passively.
      • This stems from his parents’ work. As they worked and brought home malevolent spiritual items, they began to affect him. After a while, he was able to see the spirits who were attached to these items, and even Ghost-Types who tried hiding from him. However, because he’s so sensitive to the spiritual world and that of Ghost-Types, he has grown increasingly empathic to their own emotions and being near too many Ghost-Types or the dead increases his anxiety and frequencies of his nightmares.
    • Basic Telekinesis - Can lift a small number of small objects for a short amount of time with his mind. He mostly does this as a party trick and doesn’t really train much in it.
      • This stems from his mother’s ability. She also has ESP abilities after being a gym trainer in Anistar City’s gym. She learned from the many gym trainers there how to best use her ESP and, when she had her son, she put him through training to teach him how to use it, as well. However, she noted that he couldn’t clear his mind very well of his emotions, leading him to not develop his ESP any further than when she had last trained him.
Fears: He despises Dark-Types because he finds them spine-chillingly disturbing. The way they can manifest their violent will and malevolent thoughts into attacks is horrific to him, and he can’t trust them at all. While he loves battling, losing is a hit to his pride. He feels like people will think him weak, so he has to be on top. This fear is the main reason why he hasn't gone further in his gym challenge, as he doesn't want to disappoint his family and the gym leader he's facing off against. Because he has seen quite a few Ghost-Type Pokemon and understands where most come from, or where they could come from, he's terrified of being abandoned, sharing in their sentiments. On the note of his insomnia, it terrifies him that he may not be able to ever fall asleep if this keeps up (unlikely, given that's not how the human brain works, but it's something he fusses over), and he's also terrified of missing something if he falls asleep during the day, making him perpetually exhausted when his adrenaline dies down.

Backstory: Reggie, as he would prefer anyone to call him (even in a business casual setting), was born in Hearthome City, Sinnoh before being taken to Opelucid City, Unova to live out the rest of his childhood. He desperately wanted to go on an adventure and dreamed of a chance for his parents to be brave enough to send him out. While his childhood was peaceful and filled with teachings of both history of the Pokemon world, the different region's histories, general Pokémon knowledge, business to a small degree, and learning of myths and legends, he wanted to go outside and explore. Have an adventure. Have some fun. His parents wanted him to grow up the least sheltered as possible so he had free reign of the television programs, but soon regretted it as he would constantly talk about going on adventures and defeating strong opponents and becoming an idol people can look up to. Most of the tournaments and contests he watched on the television had his blood pumping so much, he tried acting as the Pokémon or people he saw on television. This also extended to cartoons and anime.

His father was basically as close as you can get to an aristocrat. He had lots of money and did his best to make sure his family lived comfortably. He never flaunted it, but instead flaunted his fashion sense and exuberant energy that his son emulated and turned the dial up to eleven. The money he got however was hosting exhibits in museums and gathering items for such exhibits, while Reggie’s mother specifically helped his father in obtaining spiritual items for these exhibits or for their own home to keep them safe from the general public. This caused Reggie to manifest his spirit sense, but also his insomnia. Once Reggie was ten, he thought about which Pokemon he wanted. His favorite was by far a Gastly, but it wasn't a Starter Pokemon. Not having the foresight to see this sooner, he lost his motivation to go on a journey and began to focus solely on his academic life. He was the only one in his class to not have a Pokemon partner that was truly his, not just a Mimikyu or a Polteageist from his parents. Finally, when he was seventeen (and after his parents saved up as much as they could), they bought Reggie his first Pokemon. A Shiny Gastly. The boy was so ecstatic. His parents didn't need to get him a Shiny Gastly, but they felt bad that their son didn't get his favorite Pokemon when he was ten, so they made up for it by saving enough to buy him a special one. Reggie sent his sights in his home region, Unova, to settle on an adventure. He was two badges in, but decided that Sinnoh was more interesting, especially with the contests. He left for Sinnoh and received a ribbon, loving the high-octane performances he put himself in. He even got a couple Sinnoh Gym badges during his tenure. However, his subsequent defeats in attempting to obtain a second contest ribbon and third gym badge had him wishing he didn’t try.

However, as he got older, he realized that, even though he hadn't been to the other regions, he felt bored. Nothing stimulated his senses enough like the contests of Sinnoh or the gym battles in both his home region and Sinnoh. The Pokevision videos were amazing, but Kalos wasn't his cup of tea. Kanto and Johto felt bland after visiting Sinnoh, and Hoenn's contests weren't as appealing after his tenure in Sinnoh, as well. He didn't want to continue his journey in Sinnoh or Unova, as he felt incredibly bored looking at something he was so used to seeing. Not even Alola fed that itch, but it was close with the islands. Galar was fascinating, but the Wild Area even concerned him a little and so did the Dynamaxing, despite the stadiums in Galar being phenomenal.

Despite this however, he decided to head to the Orange Islands. They were islands, but the gym circuit there was far more fascinating than the other places he thought of going. Plus, the gyms focused on skill, which was something his Pokémon desperately needed if they were to get stronger and better at gyms and contests.

Trivia: He adores Bug-Types, thinking they are so cute and misunderstood. Ghost-Types is his type specialty, and he really likes that type for many reasons, one of which is how absolutely beautifully eerie they are and another is because his favorite Pokemon is Giratina. He also likes Psychic-Types due to their usefulness for his sleep schedule. He also loves having pretend tea parties, hide and seek, and training/cleaning his (and other people’s) Pokemon.

Pokemon: Emeric the Shiny Haunter, Elvira the Munna, Bob the Shedinja, Large Marge the Drifloon, Missy the Misdreavus

Species/Type: Haunter - Ghost/Poison
Nickname: Emeric
Gender: Male
Ability: Levitate - Unaffected by Ground-Type moves, Arena Trap, Spikes, Toxic Spikes (can't nullify them easily), Sticky Web, Rototiller, and terrain. Can be lost during Gravity, when holding an Iron Ball, under the effects of Ingrain, or has been hit by Smack Down or Thousand Arrows. Can enter Sky Battles.
Appearance: Emeric is shiny, so his tongue is blue instead of pink, and the normally red aura around his hands are blue. He's the average height, weight, and shiny appearance of a Haunter.
Nature/Personality: Modest | A trickster by heart, a wingman and showboater by trade, he doesn't seem like the modest type. But in fact, if alone and not bouncing the energy back from Reggie, he is very realistic with himself. He is Reggie's best friend and protects him from... Well, himself.
History: Having been caught by a Pokemon hunter because of his shiny coloration as a Gastly, he was expecting the worst to happen to him. But, in fact, nothing bad happened to him. He was just bought by some old fart who probably only had thirty years left to live and was given to a sixteen-year-old kid as a present. With how excitable the kid was, Emeric tried his hardest to be distant with him, usually hiding from him or trying to run away, but Reggie was unshakeable and thought Emeric was playing games. After Reggie nearly got hurt trying to catch up to Emeric and the Ghost Pokemon saving him, the shiny Pokemon finally conveyed his displeasure and how dense Reggie seemed. But Reggie understood that Emeric didn't want to be here, he just wanted to make sure Emeric smiled more than anything. In fact, he could feel his displeasure, and it surprised the Ghost/Poison-Type. The two ended up getting closer after this time, and Reggie took him on an adventure around Unova, wanting to show him the sights. Gastly ended up helping Reggie get his first couple of badges, evolving against Roxie's Whirlipede, and even helping Reggie get a ribbon in Sinnoh.

Ability: Synchronize - Passes on Burn, Paralysis, Poison, and Badly Poisoned to the one who affected Elvira with the status condition. Can affect a Pokemon behind a Substitute, can activate from abilities that cause the condition, but not Toxic Orb or Flame Orb. This ability will also attract wild Pokemon who have a similar demeanor as this Pokemon.
Appearance: A regular Munna.
Nature/Personality: Calm | Elvira is the mother of the group. Always clear-headed and very considerate. She seems to almost always have a plan for everything, and she likes to just people and Pokemon watch. Despite eating nightmares not tasting very good, she does so anyway to protect Reggie and give him some semblance of sleep, even if Dream Eater doesn't really give him a good rest.
History: Elvira was given to him when his parents found him unable to sleep for several nights in a row. Scared for his health, they ordered he have a Munna to take care of him. Elvira was just a Pokemon caught to serve his needs, but after Reggie went on an adventure, she became a tank as well as a Pokemon to ease his nightmares. She's even aided in giving him his first badge against Cheren in Aspertia City.

The pink mist emanating from the spot on her forehead turns black when eating a nightmare.
  • Psybeam* - Psychic | Special | Has a chance to confuse the target.

  • Shadow Ball* - Ghost | Special | Has a chance to lower the target's Special Defense. Doesn't affect those with Bulletproof.
  • Imprison - Psychic | Status | Prevents the opponent from using the same moves as Elvira for a few posts.

  • Synchronoise - Psychic | Special | Has a Base Power of 60, only affects Pokemon that shares Elvira's typing.

  • Lucky Chant - Normal | Status | For a couple posts, prevents critical hits from landing from the opponent.
  • Yawn - Normal | Status | Makes the opponent drowsy, but it takes longer to make the Pokemon fall asleep, and they can wake themselves up while drowsy.
Species/Type: Shedinja - Bug/Ghost
Nickname: Bob
Gender: Genderless (prefers male pronouns)
Ability: Wonder Guard - Immune to all damaging moves that aren't super-effective, and direct damaging moves (like Sonic Boom, Seismic Toss, and Dragon Rage) that this Pokemon isn't weak to (it's weak to Night Shade). Can be bypassed by typeless damage, like Struggle. Does not prevent indirect damage like from Burn, Poison, Confusion, Weather, Recoil, or Entry Hazards. Doesn't affect status moves. Can be bypassed by moves and abilities that ignore abilities.
Appearance: Just a regular Shedinja.
Nature/Personality: Lonely | Having been abandoned by the Nincada that evolved without it, the sudden loneliness manifested as an animate shell, and this Shedinja held onto this. It loves cuddles, but the feeling of being lonely still pervades its very senses. So much so, he becomes rather clingy and becomes a sort of "yes man" to his trainer to prevent himself from ever being replaced, even if it's likely it'll never happen. He also has a hard time accepting other Pokemon or trainers who become close to Reggie as he's afraid they'll replace him somehow.
History: This Shedinja was founded in Sinnoh in Eterna Forest. The Nincada had evolved into a Ninjask, and it was left behind. The sudden emotional turmoil of being left alone manifested a ghostly power that possessed the shell, but before it had much time to ruminate on where its other half went, Reggie found him and caught him, wanting to make him feel like he belonged. Because of this, Bob is extremely clingy. Because aspects of the Nincada were left behind, it left behind the proclivity for battle and a love for pockets and snuggles.
Moves:
  • Shadow Claw* - Ghost | Physical | Has an increased critical hit ratio.
  • Dig* - Ground | Physical | Disappears into the ground, then attacks. Would take double damage from Earthquake and Magnitude if it were weak to Ground. Helps create a tunnel for Reggie to travel through to get back to a safe place.
  • Metal Claw* - Steel | Physical | Has a chance to increase the user's Attack.
  • False Swipe*- Normal | Physical | Leaves the opponent with a little bit of stamina left to continue a fight if it would otherwise knock it out.
  • Confuse Ray* - Ghost | Status | Confuses the opponent.
  • Shadow Sneak* - Ghost | Physical | Attacks with its shadow in a blur, having increased priority.
  • X-Scissor* - Bug | Physical | No secondary effect.
  • Ally Switch* - Psychic | Status | Switches spots with an ally, having even more increased priority than Shadow Sneak (+2), but can still get hit by Snipe Shot, and by attacks affected by Stalwart and Propeller Tail. With each consecutive use, it has an increased chance of failing.
  • Grudge - Ghost | Status | If the user faints from a direct result of an attack, that move become unable to be used for a few posts as the target who knocked out this Pokemon loses all energy to use that move.
  • Mud-Slap - Ground | Special | Base Power is 10 and has a chance to lower accuracy.
  • Scratch - Normal | Physical | Base Power is 20 and has a chance to miss.
  • Sand Attack - Ground | Status | Has a chance to miss and only lowers accuracy for a couple posts.
  • Harden - Normal | Status | Raises Defense for only a couple posts.
  • Absorb - Grass | Special | Base Power is 10, and heals up to 25% of the damage inflicted. While this move is useless to a Shedinja, he can still absorb the life of a person or Pokemon, hold it, and give it to someone else.
Species/Type: Drifloon - Ghost/Flying
Nickname: Large Marge
Gender: Female
Ability: Flare Boost - When this Pokemon is burned, the power of its special moves is increased by 50%.
Appearance: A very large Drifloon. In fact, she's 5'4" (162.6 cm) and weighs 10.4 lbs (4.7 kg). She's able to nearly carry Reggie with her size.
Nature/Personality: Naive | Very curious and child-like, Large Marge loves to discover things and float in the wind. She's also very dramatic. She dreams to soar through the skies and being large enough to carry her trainer wherever he pleases.
History: Caught in the Valley Windworks in Sinnoh, Reggie was surprised at the size of the Drifloon. She tried taking him away, but she was too weak. He told her he could get her strong enough to one day soar through the sky with someone. Because she doesn't have much ambition for anything else, she's been with him ever since.
Moves:
  • Gust* - Flying | Special | Stirs up wind, can damage Pokemon who are using Fly, Sky Drop, and Bounce for double the damage, and can damage non-adjacent opponents.
  • Will-O-Wisp* - Fire | Status | Causes Burn.
  • Tailwind* - Flying | Status | Increases the speed of herself and her team for four posts. Can be used to boost her speed while flying.
  • Ominous Wind* - Ghost | Special | Eerie, damaging wind that has a chance to increase all of her battling capabilities.
  • Focus Energy* - Normal | Status | Has increased critical hit chance. Can be used to focus on an opponent when dizzy or when it's hard to find them.
  • Stockpile* - Normal | Status | Stores energy and raises Defense and Special Defense for each energy stockpiled. Can hold three, and works in conjunction with Swallow and Spit Up. Once used by either Swallow or Spit Up, energy stockpiled reduces to zero, and Defense and Special Defense fall.
  • Swallow* - Normal | Status | Swallows the energy stored and heals herself in proportion to the amount stored. 1x = 25% of stamina; 2x = 50% of stamina; 3x = 100% of stamina.
  • Telekinesis* - Psychic | Status | Makes the target float in the air for three posts. Can also be used to lift people, Pokemon, and items, but only for a limited time and with very little side to side movement.
  • Charge Beam - Electric | Special | Base Power is 25, and has a lesser chance of raising the user's Special Attack.
  • Constrict - Normal | Physical | Base Power is 5, has no chance of lowering Speed.
  • Minimize - Normal | Status | Only gets slightly smaller, only increases Evasion by one instead of two, and takes even more increased damage than the normal double amount from Body Slam, Stomp, Needle Arm, Dragon Rush, Steamroller, Heat Crash, Heavy Slam, Flying Press, and Malicious Moonsault.
  • Astonish - Ghost | Physical | Base Power is 15, has a lessened chance to cause Flinch.
  • Payback - Dark | Physical | Base Power is 25, doubles to 50 if the user moves after the target.
  • Hex - Ghost | Special | Base Power is 25, doubles to 50 when used against a Pokemon with a non-volatile status condition.
  • Shadow Ball - Ghost | Special | Base Power is 40, has a lessened chance to lower the target's Special Defense, and has a higher chance to ricochet off a Pokemon with Bullet Proof and target the user instead.
  • Spit Up - Normal | Special | Spits up this energy as an attack, dealing more damage in proportion to the amount stored, but only half as much as a battle-ready Spit Up.
Species/Type: Misdreavus - Ghost
Nickname: Missy
Gender: Female
Ability: Levitate - Unaffected by Ground-Type moves, Arena Trap, Spikes, Toxic Spikes (can't nullify them easily), Sticky Web, Rototiller, and terrain. Can be lost during Gravity, when holding an Iron Ball, under the effects of Ingrain, or has been hit by Smack Down or Thousand Arrows. Can enter Sky Battles.
Appearance: This Misdreavus is a bit smaller than average only being 2'00" (60.96 cm) and weighs about 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
Nature/Personality: Gentle | Missy doesn't like battling. She also is really shy. She doesn't like being in front of a large audience, and she definitely doesn't like having to hurt others. However, she will try for her trainer, her concerted effort usually rewarding her with more snuggles and awesome treats. She also is Reggie's emotional support Pokemon, as well as using Reggie as her emotional support human.
History: Found in Eterna Forest, Missy was busy singing by herself when Reggie came upon her. Her singing was better sounding than the other Misdreavus, as she was working really hard to stand out. Entranced by her singing, Reggie wanted to use her for contests and caught her. Upon realizing her shy demeanor and gentle nature, he decided not make her battle or perform so much, but is still trying to get her to feel more comfortable with it.
Moves:
  • Hex* - Ghost | Special | Deals double damage if the opponent is affected by a non-volatile status condition.
  • Mean Look* - Normal | Status | Prevents fleeing or switching out until the user is removed from battle or if the targeted has Run Away, is holding a Smoke Ball, is a Ghost-Type, or used U-Turn, Volt Switch, Parting Shot, Flip Turn, or when Dragon Tail, Circle Throw, Roar, or Whirlwind are used on the affected target. Can affect non-adjacent foes. Can't be used in the next post if successfully executed in the previous post. Cannot use against Dynamaxed Pokemon.
  • Screech - Normal | Status | Decreases Defense by one, has a higher chance of missing, and doesn't affect those with Soundproof. Can't use if affected by Throat Chop for two posts.
  • Growl - Normal | Status | Affects only the intended target and not adjacent opponents, and cuts Attack for only a few posts. Doesn't affect those with Soundproof, Hyper Cutter, Clear Body, White Smoke, or Full Metal Body. Doesn't work if affected by Throat Chop for two posts.
FINALLY his Pokemon section is complete :3

FINALLY Cole Forrest is done XD I apologize for the double post.

@sSoul yer boi is done XD

Name: Cole Forrest
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Age: 21
D.O.B.: January 2
Birth Place/Hometown: Turffield, Galar
Trainer Class: Pokémon Trainer (WCS Ranking: 75,432)
Physical Appearance: Cole has near soulless, grey eyes that seem to spark with an uncomfortable, eerie light when he’s found an interest in something or someone. He has short, fluffy, black hair that frames his face. He’s got a skinny frame, but it’s lined with lean muscle with surprising strength to back it up due to having lived on a farm. He’s 5’08” (172.7 cm), with a lean 140 lbs (63.5 kg). He doesn’t really stand out too much, until he starts speaking.
Clothing: He usually wears a simple t-shirt, sweater, or casual dress shirt untucked with a loose tie, his shirts being dark colors and his tie almost always being a dark red unless otherwise noted. He wears black jeans, sometimes with rips. He wears black shoes that are either sneakers or loafers. He sometimes has a black hoodie or button-up jacket he leaves open. He wears a belt that’s more for utility and fashion once pulled off his pants than for keeping his pants up, as he had his PokeBalls in a circular holster clipped to his belt loops. He has a black backpack, filled with his survival equipment and medicine. He also has a notepad clipped to his circular holster within a small compartment, where he writes down ideas for which moves to go for, what Pokémon with which abilities to go for, where to find them, keeping track of his money and items, what he should do next, as well as short term goals to reach.
Personality/Inner Machinations:
  • Control Freak, Manipulative, Exploitative
    • Cole is more comfortable being in control, so he almost always comes prepared. He doesn’t like it when others take charge unless he’s expressly okay with it or if what they are doing will help him. He will be passive, passive aggressive, or aggressive and assertive to get what he wants, even if he has to be an asshole to get it, but he understands honey attracts more than vinegar. This shows up in his fighting, as he tries to be the first one to control the battlefield with strategy and keep the flow of battle away from his opponent. He doesn’t mind losing though (as losing equates to him not having control over himself), even to those he dislikes or when it's not in his design to lose. He’ll respect and/or admire whoever bested him, and it would just fuel his desire to be stronger. It also allows those who beat him to underestimate him while he can counter their entire team. Strangely, he’s also a clean freak and is disgusted by disorganization and filth, as disorganization and filth means they have lost control of their environment and their impulses.
      • This “control freak” side of him was caused by a complex he obtained when he was younger from a lack of control in his life. His parents were mostly in control of what he did, even going so far as to pave a future for him he didn’t want. While they had good intentions and he understood that, Cole thought they never understood what he really wanted and it frustrated him that even after telling them, they thought what they had given him was better than his dream. The only thing he’s followed his parents on were being clean, organized, and present well to others.
    • If there is anything he can get from someone, he’s going to manipulate to get it, whether that be using “pity-me” language or acting “nice” to get what he wants. This is reflected in how he fights.
      • Because his parents were a bit more on the controlling side, he’s figured out how to passively get things from people or use language to denote submission as it’s given him what he wanted. He chose his fights carefully, and acted nice to get what he wanted because he knew he otherwise wouldn’t get what he wanted if he was being a brat about it. Time and place.
    • Very unfair, he doesn’t mind exploiting people’s weaknesses or situations to make them feel lesser and to give himself a stepping stone. This is reflected in how he fights.
      • Because he felt like he was late in his journey, rebelling against his parents’ wishes, and having been given no direct moral direction for years that wasn’t his future “succession of the family farm”, Cole has developed a need to use others. Why not? His parents used him as a way to ease their anxieties about their business onto him without his consent, he was going to do the same to others. Not to make others feel his pain, he doesn’t care if others don’t understand him. He just wants to spread misery and pain as it’s cathartic.
  • Detail-oriented, Cynical, and Opportunistic Narrator
    • Weaknesses and details to exploit others pop out at Cole more often than other things. Like, how skilled are their Pokémon, how “in-the-know” are they about battling, do they have a limp, can he trick them into doing something with the promise of helping them get to their dream, etc?
      • This comes from how his parents always tell him what he’s lacking. Not in a bad way, but it always bugged Cole that he wasn’t ‘enough’. But, along with his rebelling of his parents, being bullied, and not being given a moral compass nor really wanting one since he’s been bullied, Cole understands not everyone is perfect and even a person’s greatest strengths could be used against them.
    • Because of his growing disdain about how his parents treated him, it also began to bleed into how they viewed the world. They were so happywith the world, when Cole has seen other places rife with crime and other societal issues that he has grown jaded.
      • Cole hates it when others get something good but don’t see its potential, as that was how he was treated by his parents. Anytime anyone sees any good in something, he has to scrutinize it because he was barely given any compliments that weren’t also shaded with a ‘do better’ attitude. However, he understands the existence of having high standards - one of the only things he agrees with his parents on. Because belittling was how he was raised, he’ll also belittle others. Being bullied also didn’t help and it caused him to bully others, thus giving him a higher-than-thou attitude for a while.
    • He will use others, even if he considers them a friend.
      • This mindset comes from his parents’ treatment of using him as a stepping stone for their business to continually prosper. Friendship is skewed in his mindset. It is more of a business relationship, and any niceties people or Pokémon may receive would be from a job well done or to get in nice with them to appease them.
  • Power and Strategy Elitist
    • He sees being strong and strategic as practically ascension. You are the best of the best if you can tussle with the strongest in the world. Because power has always been important from how rarely he’s had it in his life prior to his journey and strategy was the only thing he’s ever curated in his childhood because of his restrictions, he’s also learned self defense to protect himself - not only to handle bullies but those who are protecting themselves from being bullied. He never throws the first punch, but always throws the first insults.
      • He finds perverse joy in ruining the mood of others. It gives him a sense of control and power over them, and being bullied and bullying others has opened his eyes to such. He does get a bit frustrated if people don’t budge from it, but he also gives them some level of reluctant respect for not falling for his words.
    • Because of his idea on being strategic and powerful, if people don’t focus on these, they are a waste of his time and they shouldn’t even be breathing in his space. He will do just about anything to crush their dreams to prevent them from moving on and - in an unsanctioned battle - will have his Pokémon aggressively attack theirs to cripple them for life. He’d never kill a Pokémon, but he’s not going to complain if it happens either.
      • His dreams to go on a journey were crushed when his parents didn’t give him a Pokémon like he wanted when he was ten. He felt like he had no place in the world, and for that, he felt useless. If they had fostered his want to become strong, he wouldn’t be an aggressive, sadistic elitist.
  • Abusive and Obsessive
    • He obsesses over power, and anything and anybody who could or does wield it. This means he obsesses over champions, elite four members, and really strong Pokémon. But he also obsesses over being clever, because strength alone can’t get you anywhere. For this, he’s been obsessed over Wallace the longest. He unironically has a little shrine dedicated to him. If anyone were to get into a romantic relationship with him, he will become so obsessive that his controlling behavior bleeds over and he becomes abusive, mainly from fear of losing them exacerbating his issues.
      • This stems from feeling like he’s going to lose control of his life and lose the chase for his dream if he doesn’t have a harsh grasp on what he has now. If he loses something or a Pokémon, it’s going to be a huge blow to his growing ego and that would just make him grip what he has left even harder.
    • Because of his upbringing and how others treated him (as well as finding joy in hurting others), he finds “fun” in being verbally abusive. A mean joke isn’t too far for him and actually tickles his funny bone. If someone were to tell a mean joke to him, he’d actually respect their willingness to state their mind, even if it goes against societal etiquette. However, because of his power obsessive tendencies, this abuse can extend to his Pokémon. He won’t physically beat them, but he will belittle them and scare them with the cracking sounds of a whip, as well as make them all fight each other in a free-for-all to determine who the better Pokémon is to become the ace for that period of time. If they can’t bounce back or fail to hold the title of ace, then that is their fault for being too weak to grow from it and he’ll lower their rations and not heal their wounds, release them himself, or let them run off, even if the latter hurts.
      • This just stems from his love to hurt because it feels good to have this control over the pain of another. It’s cathartic to him and he feels strong, especially if he managed to beat down someone who was as strong as him.
Fears: Cole is afraid of losing control, as all people who have his type of behavior tend to have. But there’s a bit more to it. He is afraid of losing what he has because the stuff he wanted to earn or did earn were put to the wayside or deemed as unimportant by his parents, so they were taken. He’s also afraid of being weak, and his strength and that of his Pokémon have become an obsession of his. This stemmed from his family being too lackadaisical as a farming family and it has caused a bit of their downfall because they didn’t want to strive to overcome an obstacle in as quick and efficient manner as possible. He was expected to not let it bother him and to just follow the family “dream” of continuing to farm the land and tend to the Wooloo, which only had him resent farmers and those who don’t take their training or dream chasing seriously.
Backstory: A very calm life. A very boring life. Work on the farm, go to school, learn about business and farming, learn about sponsorships and caring for Pokémon, learn about medicine and wound care, learn how to fight and self defense, learn how to train Pokemon, go back home, do more chores, shear the Wooloo when it gets too warm, go to bed. Rinse and repeat.

It was annoying. It wasn’t the life he wanted for himself.

His parents thought it was good enough. The only thing they weren’t lackadaisical on were preparing him for his future. No, their future he wanted them to have. Was that all people wanted? How boring. But also, how disrespectful to the future he could have if he did it himself. What about all that work? Was it all for nothing?

Cole’s life never left Turffield until he signed up to be something. When he signed up to be a part of WCS and compete in the Galar league, his parents were disappointed. Why did he want to leave?

Honestly, in Cole’s mind, they should have just gotten another kid.

Going to school had opened his mind to what potential he had, but also who he was. Getting bullied was - to him - probably the best thing that happened to him, and he didn’t know why. Strange, as getting bullied shouldn’t be anything but horrendous, but as soon as he turned his bully into a piddling mess by bullying him back, and then going after others just to take out his frustrations from the road he was supposed to tread… It felt wonderful. Freeing. It was like going to greener pastures after being behind his parents’ tractor that cleared the weeds and plants to a place filled with yet even more farmland.

But now, he could do something about himself.

His father, not wanting to be on bad terms with Cole, gifted him a Totodile he had found in Alola, along with the Grookey he received from having started out his journey. Of course, the Grookey was chosen by his parents. As if he needed a reminder of home.

He traveled south to Route 3 first, gathering as many Pokémon as he could, because he had a plan. A plan he won’t let anyone else hamper on his journey. A plan that will guarantee a rise through the ranks.

Update 1.1: 1st Gym Update - Grookey, Totodile, and Rookidee evolved; Thwackey, Croconaw, Corvisquire, Galarian Meowth, Trubbish, and Stufful learned new moves.
Ace (for now): Corvisquire
Battle-Ready: Thwackey, Croconaw, Galarian Meowth, Corvisquire
Useless: Magikarp, Trubbish, Pancham, Stufful

Species/Type: Thwackey - Grass (Due to this typing, is immune to Leech Seed, Effect Spore, and powder and spore moves)
Nickname: Thwackey
Gender: Male
Ability: Overgrow - When exhausted or severely injured, raises the power of Grass-Type moves by 50%.
Appearance: Average height and weight. Has a scar down his back. Average Thwackey.
Nature/Personality: Brave | Thwackey doesn’t like to back down from a challenge, for fear of being seen as useless. He will brave the fiercest enemies, just to prove a point. Because of this stubbornness, he’s also slower than most Thwackey, as his inability to back down roots him in spot most times. He used to be a rather playful Grookey, but that has since changed once he became a more battle-ready member of Cole’s team.
History: The former Grookey was bred and trained to be a trainer’s first Pokémon. When he was given to Cole, he couldn’t even imagine how painful his time would be. While he should contemplate on leaving, Cole manages to win him over every single time. He’s already gone through quite a bit of belittling, but believes it’s natural to become the strongest Pokémon there ever was, right? It couldn’t get any more worse, could it?
Moves:
  • Razor Leaf* - Grass | Physical | Has an increased critical hit ratio. Targets all adjacent foes.
  • Taunt* - Dark | Status | Forces Pokémon to not use status moves for three posts. Can bypass a Substitute, can be reflected by Magic Coat, and doesn’t affect Pokémon with Oblivious or affected by Aroma Veil.
  • Fake Out* - Normal | Physical | Has a +3 priority, and makes the target Flinch. Can only be usable at the start of a battle or being switched in.
  • Hammer Arm* - Fighting | Physical | Lowers the user’s Speed.
  • Grass Pledge* - Grass | Special | Doubles in power when used alongside Water Pledge or causes Fire Pledge to double in power. When combined with Water Pledge, it creates a swamp for four posts, quartering the Speed of all Pokémon on that side of the field. When combined with Fire Pledge, it creates a sea of fire that gradually damages all non-Fire-Types for four posts.
  • Knock Off* - Dark | Physical | Knocks the item out of the target’s grasp, unless it has Suction Cups, or if they are special items.
  • Double Hit* - Normal | Physical/Status | Either hits the target twice consecutively, or allows the next attack to hit twice consecutively.
  • Screech* - Normal | Status | Lowers the target’s Defense by 2.
  • Branch Poke - Grass | Physical | Base Power is 20, has a 50% chance to miss.
  • Growl - Normal | Status | Decreases Attack from only one target, and has a 50% chance to miss. Doesn’t affect Pokémon with the Abilities Soundproof, Hyper Cutter, Clear Body, White Smoke, or Full Metal Body. Won’t be usable for two posts from Throat Chop.
  • Scratch - Normal | Physical | Base Power is 20 and has a 70% chance to miss.
Species/Type: Croconaw - Water
Nickname: Croconaw
Gender: Female
Ability: Sheer Force - Raises the base power of all damaging moves that have any additional effects by about 30%, but these additional effects are ignored (moves like Ancient Power, Bite, Blizzard, Crunch, Dynamic Punch, Focus Blast, Headbutt, Ice Beam, Ice Fang, Ice Punch, Icy Wind, Iron Tail, Liquidation, Metal Claw, Mud-Slap, Power-Up Punch, Rock Slide, Rock Smash, Rock Tomb, Scald, Secret Power, Snore, Water Pulse, and Waterfall).
Appearance: Average height. Has a scar down her right eye, and she’s got slightly greater muscle mass, making her slightly heavier (60 lbs, 27.2 kg). Regular Croconaw
Nature/Personality: Naughty | Despite her proclivities to pull pranks or act silly, this has been died down in favor of doing so in the midst of combat. She loves fighting, but wonders why her trainer isn’t feeding her enough right before a fight. Still, it just makes the fight that much more interesting. Not wanting to disappoint her trainer or be given anymore insults, she will do her best to leave a good impression, even if it ends with her fainting and getting insulted again. She has since put her prank-pulling on other members of the team, making Cole get angry with them instead of her. She has a bit of an ego and thinks she can do no wrong until she gets into trouble, but she immediately moves on by working even harder.
History: Having been caught by a seemingly nice man in Alola, the former Totodile thought she was going to have fun with the new trainer she was being given to. However, she soon realized he was more for getting them as strong as they could. Taking his insults and any failings as fuel, she didn’t take to the red flags and continued to prove to him she was capable. However, she has lost her rights as an ace recently.
Moves:
  • Scary Face* - Normal | Status | Lowers the target’s Speed by two.
  • Bite* - Dark | Physical | Has a chance to cause Flinching. Affected by Sheer Force.
  • Mud-Slap* - Ground | Special | Lowers the target’s Accuracy. Affected by Sheer Force.
  • Water Gun* - Water | Special | Does damage.
  • Water Pledge* - Water | Special | Doubles in power when used alongside Fire Pledge or causes Grass Pledge to double in power. When combined with Grass Pledge, it creates a swamp for four posts, quartering the Speed of all Pokémon on that side of the field. When combined with Fire Pledge, it creates a rainbow on the user’s side of the field for four posts, doubling the probability of additional effects taking place for moves used on that side (including chance of flinching from held items but not Secret Power).
  • Rage* - Normal | Physical | After use, when damaged by an attack, raises the user’s Attack directly after.
  • Dragon Dance* - Dragon | Status | Raises the user’s Attack and Speed.
  • Ice Fang* - Ice | Physical | Has a slight chance to Freeze or Flinch.
  • Ice Punch - Ice | Physical | Base Power is 35, 70% accuracy, and has an even lesser chance to Freeze. Affected by Sheer Force.
  • Scratch - Normal | Physical | Base Power is 20 and has a chance to miss.
  • Leer - Normal | Status | Has a chance to miss and only lowers Defense for a few posts.
Species/Type: Galarian Meowth - Steel (Due to this typing, is immune to Sandstorm damage, and being Poisoned except from a Pokémon with Corrosion)
Nickname: Meowth
Gender: Male
Ability: Unnerve - Unnerves the opponent to prevent them from eating their own held berries. Doesn’t stop the use of Natural Gift, and can’t prevent when Teatime is used. Causes wild Pokémon to call for help more often.
Appearance: Average height and weight. The black coin on Meowth's head has a deep, jagged scar running down it. Meowth’s eyes look more unnerving to stare at.
Nature/Personality: Adamant | Very stubborn, Meowth won’t back down, even if he’s terrified. He wants to be the strongest Meowth and eventually evolve into a Perrserker. He hates being compared to other Meowth for their pretty looks and limber body, so he focuses on battling. However, he is quite gullible.
History: Hanging out on Route 3, this Meowth was minding his business until Cole came and found him specifically. He proved to be a difficult catch as he was stronger than the other Meowth in the area, but Cole managed to catch him. Despite the battling attitude and proclivity he’s shown, he didn’t compare to some of Cole’s other members after being caught, and he has a rivalry with Totodile due to her pranking.
Moves:
  • Metal Claw* - Steel | Physical | Has a slight chance of raising the user’s Attack.
  • Pay Day* - Normal | Physical | Scatters coins after hitting the target with it. It can increase the prize earnings after winning.
  • Hone Claws* - Dark | Status | Raises user’s Attack and Accuracy.
  • Fake Out* - Normal | Physical | Has a +3 priority, and makes the target Flinch. Can only be usable at the start of a battle or being switched in.
  • Night Slash* - Dark | Physical | Has an increased critical hit ratio.
  • Flail* - Normal | Physical | The lower the stamina, the higher the power.
  • Taunt* - Dark | Status | Taunts the opponent and only makes them use attacking moves.
  • Swagger* - Normal | Status | Confuses the target, but raises their Attack by 2.
  • Scratch - Normal | Physical | Base Power is lowered to 20, has a 70% chance to miss.
Species/Type: Magikarp - Water
Nickname: Magikarp
Gender: Female
Ability: Rattled - When hit by a Bug-, Dark-, or Ghost-Type move, or when affected by Intimidate, its Speed raises.
Appearance: Average height and weight. Some of its fish scales are chipped.
Nature/Personality: Jolly | Being a happy fish as can be, this Magikarp hasn’t suited well to being in Cole’s team. She tries to be optimistic and has recently shown progress in her training, but she’s afraid it’s not enough. Due to Cole’s attitude towards her, she’s grown insecure about her abilities and if she’ll even be enough as a Gyarados. Still, she tries to be happy, despite it all. She swims and moves quickly, especially when terrified. She equates Cole as a Dark-Type.
History: Being sought out by Cole specifically, she tried running away from him, and her increased speed (especially when hit by a Dark-Type move from his Rookidee) caused her to be caught by him, knowing that Rattled will turn into Moxie. However, her potential as a Gyarados was the only thing Cole seemed to be interested in and her own slowness to be battle-ready (something she hasn’t even achieved yet) has made Cole wonder if he should even keep her.
Moves:
  • Splash* - Normal | Status | Hops.
  • Tackle* - Normal | Physical | Does damage.
  • Flail* - Normal | Physical | The lower the stamina, the higher the power.
  • Bounce* - Flying | Physical | Bounces up high in one post, then comes slamming down in the next post. Can’t be used when affected by Gravity. Has a chance to Paralyze. Can be hit by Gust (double the damage), Twister (double the damage), Thunder, Sky Uppercut, Hurricane, Smack Down, and Thousand Arrows or by a Pokémon with No Guard. May be disrupted from Smack Down and Thousand Arrows.
Species/Type: Corvisquire - Flying (Due to this typing, isn’t grounded so cannot be affected by Sticky Web, Spikes, or Toxic Spikes; terrain and Rototiller; or Arena Trap, unless holding an Iron Ball or affected by Ingrain, Gravity, Smack Down or Thousand Arrows)
Nickname: Corvisquire
Gender: Female
Ability: Big Pecks - Prevents the loss of Defense during battle. Doesn’t prevent this Pokémon from lowering its own Defense, and doesn’t stop effects that decrease Defense without using stat stages (Guard Swap, Heart Swap, Guard Split). Can be ignored by Mold Breaker.
Appearance: Average height and weight. Some feathers are stained from a dark liquid that has refused to be cleaned off. Has larger feather density, especially around her chest. Average Corvisquire.
Nature/Personality: Relaxed | Being rather carefree, this bird doesn’t let anything bother her, however because of her carefree nature, she isn’t as fast as other Corvisquire. After what Cole would call a “training accident”, Cole had to nurse the former Rookidee back to health. Since then, she’s been wary of Cole, as it was Cole’s fault for losing his temper for a moment and being a bit too harsh with his handling that caused the injuries to her chest that stained her feathers.
History: Being caught on Route 3, Cole sought her out specifically. He had been hunting for Rookidee that weren’t affected by his Totodile’s Leer, and he finally found her. He caught her, but was a bit disappointed in that she wasn’t as agile as the other Rookidee. Still, training her proved promising, but during a training session, her lackadaisical nature had caused Cole to see his parents in the bird and he lashed out, slicing her with his swiss army knife. Stunned at what he did and not really liking the fact that he did that to a promising Pokémon, he tried nursing her back to health, even though he threatened that if she didn’t get stronger after this he’d release her. After trying to scrub her feathers clean of his mistake to no avail had him just giving up and leaving it there. Seeing as she didn’t want to be treated as lesser for not being as strong when she’s fully capable of doing so, she used her cunning nature along with her bulky body to become ace recently, taking it from Totodile.
Moves:
  • Pluck* - Flying | Physical | Steals and eats the user’s berry, unless the target has Sticky Hold. Can still eat the berry and steal its effects during Embargo.
  • Rock Smash* - Fighting | Physical | Has a half chance to lower the target’s Defense. Can also smash rocks.
  • Hone Claws* - Dark | Status | Raises user’s Attack and Accuracy.
  • Power Trip* - Dark | Physical | With each increase in stat stage, the stronger the attack becomes.
  • Leer* - Normal | Status | Lowers target’s Defense.
  • Taunt* - Dark | Status | Taunts the opponent and only makes them use attacking moves.
  • Tailwind* - Flying | Status | Doubles Speed of user and allies for four posts.
  • Roost* - Flying | Status | Restores half the user’s stamina and stops being a Flying-Type for that post and its reaction. With a pure Flying-Type, it becomes a Normal-Type. It will also be affected by grounded moves and effects until it is ungrounded.
  • Peck - Flying | Physical | Base Power is 15, 70% accuracy, and can’t hit non-adjacent foes.
  • Fury Attack - Normal | Physical | Base Power is 10 and hits the target 1-3 times.
Species/Type: Trubbish - Poison (Due to this typing, cannot be Poisoned unless by a Pokémon with Corrosion, and can remove Toxic Spikes from their side of the field when switching in and when not grounded.)
Nickname: Trubbish
Gender: Male
Ability: Aftermath - When knocked out by a move that makes contact, the attacking Pokémon takes damage equal to a quarter of their stamina by exploding. Doesn’t activate with Damp on the field.
Appearance: Average height and weight. There are some pulled scrape marks on the bag part of this Pokémon.
Nature/Personality: Impish | Mischievous, this Trubbish has shown an interesting cunning ability in battle, but his personality has been stunted severely after being Cole’s Pokémon when not in battle. He’s always stressed and scared, unsure of if he should run or ride this nightmare out. He shows more of his true colors to others who aren’t Cole, but immediately clams up and becomes quiet and obedient when Cole is nearby.
History: Being sought out by Cole, the Trubbish actually pranked the trainer, who was more than irate with him. When Cole finally caught the Trubbish, he belittled and had his Pokémon attack the Trubbish even more as punishment for nearly destroying one of his items in a “harmless” prank. The Trubbish has tried to gain Cole’s favor in battling, but Cole’s thinking of releasing him because the Trubbish hasn’t shown anything promising that wasn’t his ability.
Moves:
  • Toxic Spikes* - Poison | Status | Sets a grounded entry hazard on the target’s side of the field. One layer makes Pokémon Poisoned. Two layers makes Pokémon Badly Poisoned. Grounded Poison-Type Pokémon can nullify and get rid of Toxic Spikes, as well as Rapid Spin and Defog.
  • Clear Smog* - Poison | Special | Resets all stat levels of the target.
  • Amnesia* - Psychic | Status | Increases the user’s Special Defense by two.
  • Acid Spray* - Poison | Special | Lowers the target’s Special Defense by two. Has no effect on those with Bulletproof.
  • Sludge* - Poison | Special | Has a 30% chance to Poison the target.
  • Stockpile* - Normal | Status | Gathers energy up to three times, Defense and Special Defense increasing as it does so. If Spit Up or Swallow is used, Defense and Special Defense lose the stat boost.
  • Swallow* - Normal | Status | Stockpile has to be used before this, as it heals the user based on how much it has been stockpiled. 1 Stockpile is 25% recovered. 2 Stockpiles are 50% recovered. 3 Stockpiles are 100% recovered.
  • Pound* - Normal | Physical | Does damage.
  • Recycle - Normal | Status | Regains a used held item that the user consumed during battle, but only within a couple rounds since it has been consumed and it has a 50% chance to fail. Cannot restore items lost by Bug Bite or Pluck, cannot restore a burst Air Balloon, an item that was transferred to another Pokémon or knocked off, an item destroyed by Incinerate, or an item picked up by another Pokémon via Pickup. Fails if the user already has a held item.
  • Poison Gas - Poison | Status | Poisons the target and targets only one foe, and has a 50% chance to miss.
  • Haze - Ice | Status | Affects only one Pokemon, resetting random stat stages. Has a 50% chance to fail.
  • Double Slap - Normal | Physical | Base Power lowered to 7, attacks 1-3 times consecutively, misses more often.
Species/Type: Pancham - Fighting
Nickname: Pancham
Gender: Female
Ability: Scrappy - Allows this Pokémon to damage Ghost-Types with Normal- and Fighting-Type moves, except for Shedinja. Immune to the effects of Intimidate.
Appearance: Average height and weight. Some of her fur is matted.
Nature/Personality: Lonely | Afraid of being abandoned, this Pancham has grown stronger in the hopes that she won’t lose out on being on a Pokémon team. Even though this team isn’t ideal for her, she’d much rather choose to stay. Ingenious yet stubborn, she tries to fight through the pain and see her plans through.
History: This Pancham followed Cole around extensively when he began looking for a Pancham with Scrappy. He ended up finding her as she tried battling him. Having no Ghost-Types yet, Cole would just capture her, but her battle against his Grookey - who wasn’t even the greatest - gave Cole a disappointing idea of her. He left her after beating her, but she stubbornly went back to him the next day, but was beaten so badly that she couldn’t get up until the next day. The next day, she came back to Cole, showing she did learn from her past mistakes. He ended up capturing her, but she has yet to show this diligence in training with him, and he’s beginning to wonder if he should get rid of her, much to her dismay.
Moves:
  • Low Sweep* - Fighting | Physical | Lowers the target’s Speed.
  • Circle Throw* - Fighting | Physical | Lowered priority (-6), forces the opponent’s Pokémon to switch, either ending a fight or forcing the Pokémon to switch out with another. Will fail to switch out if the user faints from an item or ability, if the target has Suction Cups, under the effects of Ingrain, or has Substitute set up.
  • Taunt* - Dark | Status | Forces Pokémon to not use status moves for three posts. Can bypass a Substitute, can be reflected by Magic Coat, and doesn’t affect Pokémon with Oblivious or affected by Aroma Veil.
  • Arm Thrust* - Fighting | Physical | Hits the target 2-5 times.
  • Leer* - Normal | Status | Lowers target’s Defense.
  • Tackle* - Normal | Physical | Does damage.
  • Quick Guard* - Fighting | Status | Increased priority (+3), protects all Pokémon on the user’s side of the field from moves that have increased priority during that post except for unprotectable status moves affected by Prankster.
  • Storm Throw* - Fighting | Physical | Always results in a critical hit unless the target has Battle Armor, Shell Armor, or affected by Lucky Chant.
Species/Type: Stufful - Normal/Fighting
Nickname: Stufful
Gender: Female
Ability: Fluffy - Takes half damage from moves that make contact (except from moves affected by Long Reach), but takes double damage from Fire-Type moves that don’t make contact (Fire-Type moves that make contact will deal regular damage).
Appearance: Average height and weight. There’s a few chips in her ears, and her fur is denser and fluffier than normal, which also makes her overheat more often.
Nature/Personality: Sassy | Very independent and unwilling to back down, Stufful takes life at her own pace, much to Cole’s annoyance. She does take training seriously, but only does so to the minimal degree that wouldn’t get her released. Cole’s own attitude towards her has her spitting back nonsense to him, to which she found surprising when Cole actually respected her for it. Taking that in stride, she thinks she can do no wrong, despite being belittled by Cole the most.
History: Cole was looking for another bulky Pokémon and found Stufful. He figured this one had Fluffy, so he caught her, especially after realizing that boosted moves from Totodile were barely doing anything to her. However, her attitude is grating and he’s very tempted to get rid of her if she didn’t do at least decently in training.
Moves:
  • Flail* - Normal | Physical | The lower the user’s stamina, the higher the power.
  • Endure* - Normal | Status | Increased priority (+4). For the rest of that post and the reaction, will survive any attack that would cause it to faint including multiple attacks in that same moment, leaving it with only minimal stamina. Cannot protect against Future Sight or Doom Desire. If used consecutively, will have a higher chance of failing.
  • Brutal Swing* - Dark | Physical | Does damage to all adjacent Pokémon.
  • Baby-Doll Eyes* - Fairy | Status | Increased priority (+1), lowers the target’s Attack.
  • Defense Curl* - Normal | Status | Raises Defense. Increases damage on Rollout when used right afterwards.
  • Strength* - Normal | Physical | Does damage. Can push boulders.
  • Force Palm* - Fighting | Physical | Has a chance of Paralyzing the target.
  • Rollout* - Rock | Physical | Fixated on using the move for five posts, doubles in power for each consecutive hit, power resets after five posts or if interrupted. Doubles in power from Defense Curl right before. Can get interrupted by missing, flinching, being paralyzed, falling asleep, or being frozen.
  • Tackle - Normal | Physical | Base Power lowered to 20, has a 75% chance to miss.
  • Payback - Dark | Physical | Base Power lowered to 25, 1.5x more power if the user moves after the target.
  • Bide - Normal | Physical | With a priority of +1, doesn’t move for one post, taking in damage and then dealing 1.5x the damage received to the opponent.
  • Leer - Normal | Status | 50% chance to miss and only lowers Defense for a few posts.

Locations of interest:
Isle of Armor - Heard of a Zorua, Snivy, Venipede, Salazzle, and Rockruff were here.
Crown Tundra - Heard Gible and Froslass were here.
Alola - Heard Zubat, Kabuto, and Banette were here. Will also look into Z-Crystals.
Paldea - Heard Wattrel, Varoom, and Glimmet were here. Will also look into Terastalization.

Goals:
Evolve Magikarp(?)
- It has proven futile that this Magikarp’s potential is anything more than garbage, and it doesn’t hold a promising hope that it will be a good Gyarados. I might have to release it soon if it doesn’t prove as formidable as Totodile at some point.

Evolve Grookey, Totodile, Rookidee soon
- These three have proven to be great battlers, and it’s showing. They’re getting closer and closer to evolution, I can feel and see it. They are starting to take incorporations of their next evolution into their base form until the ultimate point of evolution. Hopefully, they evolve soon.

Find potential in Stufful, Pancham, and Trubbish.
- These three I caught before the Galarian Meowth, yet the newest addition in the cat has been showing far more promise far more quickly than these three. I got these two Fighting-Types to combat Nessa’s Gigantamax Drednaw. Will need a replacement soon if these two don’t work. Trubbish seems too timid to handle the training regimen. Will need to replace it soon.

Moves:
Totodile -> Croconaw -> Feraligatr
All three are Water-Types, so they are all weak to Grass- and Electric-Type moves, as well as Freeze-Dry. After studying the versatility of these Pokémon, I am surprised at the amount of coverage they have. It can cover all but one, and that is other Water-Types. Iron Tail isn’t exactly suitable. I prefer Iron Head, but it’s the best coverage against Fairy- and Ice-Types and it does give better defensive options since it’s the tail and not the head. Aerial Ace is thankfully a Flying-Type attack I prefer. At least the Fighting-Type attacks are far more reliable, with Brick Break being my biggest priority, Superpower being for high damage, high punishment. I do want to try out Focus Punch in a double battle, and Low Kick when I can’t afford to buy the other Fighting-Type attacks and for heavier opponents minus Dynamaxed. Due to Sheer Force, the secondary effects of some of these moves won’t function. This means Iron Tail doesn’t decrease the target’s Defense.
It knows many of the physically grueling field moves, as well as all of the water traversal moves. These include Surf, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Dive, Rock Climb, Strength, Cut, Rock Smash, Dig, and Headbutt. I’ll need to save up money for these or get a Pokémon who can teach these.
I need to replace these moves as soon as possible, preferably these special moves for physical ones. Aqua Tail and Liquidation, maybe I can chain together Iron Tail and Aqua Tail. Replace Mud-Slap for Dig and then Earthquake. Replace Bite for Crunch. Replace Ice Punch for Ice Fang. Replace Dragon Dance for Screech, until I can buy Hone Claws and Swords Dance. Unless Dragon Dance is better, then I’ll train her to use it again.
Synergy with this Pokémon requires a setup Pokémon, and a Grass- or Electric-Typed Pokémon to handle other Water-Types that are either too bulky or special attackers, preferably another Grass-Type. Grookey is doing fairly well, and I hope he doesn’t disappoint me. Otherwise, I will just have to replace him with another Grass-Type.

Only a few Pokémon can learn Freeze-Dry and they are thankfully all Ice-Types. These include: Galarian Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime, Glalie, Glaceon, Vanilluxe, Cryogonal, Amaura and Aurorus, Eiscue, Arctozolt, Arctovish, Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetales, Lapras, Swinub and Piloswine and Mamoswine, Delibird, Galarian Darumaka and Galarian Darmanitan, and Frigibax and Arctibax and Baxcalibur. Thankfully, all of them can be beaten with a Fighting- and/or Steel-Typed attack from Totodile’s evolution.

Magikarp -> Gyarados
While Magikarp is a pure Water-Type like the Totodile line, Gyarados is a Water/Flying-Type, double weak to Electric, and gaining a Rock weakness. At least it will resist Fighting and Bug, and Grass becomes neutral, but those aren’t really something I’m worried about. While Gyarados is a powerhouse, Feraligatr would already fill that niche. I’ve seen Magikarp far better than this one, so this leads me to believe that this Magikarp has very low potential to be anything. If she doesn’t get any better, I’ll have to abandon her. I do find it vastly amusing that her Rattled ability activates when I even just look at her. How cute.

Grookey -> Thwackey -> Rillaboom
All three are Grass-Types, all weak to Flying, Ice, Bug, Poison, and Fire. Before I get into the prospects of this Pokémon’s battling experience, I’ve noticed this Grookey seems more optimistic than the other Pokémon, and has stayed with me the longest despite me putting it through more rigorous training. If anything, my dumbass of a father somehow gave me a strong contender, but I hope this optimism doesn’t disappear when he starts evolving. I would have preferred it if he got me one with Grassy Surge instead of Overgrow, but beggars can’t be choosers.
Covering his weaknesses, the Grookey line has access to… Enough coverage. Fighting for Ice, Flying for Bug, and Ground for Poison and Fire. It doesn’t have an answer for Flying, and its other types it gains access to are pitiful at best. Dark and Bug are the other two, aside from Grass. The only ones that are covered are Ghost, Psychic, Grass, Dark, Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire, Electric, Fighting, Bug, Normal, and Ice. 13, which is still a good number, but when a few moves from the types you have consist of U-Turn, Acrobatics, Fling, Snarl, Thief, and Knock Off… Ugh.
Either way, depending on how long this Pokémon is staying, might as well make the most of it, make it a bulky bruiser. Moves I’m thinking of would consist of Grassy Terrain, Leech Seed, Drum Beating (for G-max purposes), Bulk Up, Knock Off, Brick Break, Acrobatics, and Earthquake.
Synergy with this Pokémon would be a bit difficult. He works better as a physical wall that hits hard, so he’ll need some protection from special attacks, and anything that could cause him to lose that bulkiness or get bypassed completely, like Toxic.

Rookidee -> Corvisquire -> Corviknight
The first two being Flying-types while the last evolution being a Flying/Steel-Type, I hope this one stays. After tireless searching, I finally found one with Big Pecks (as it will become Mirror Armor as a Corviknight) and the appropriate personality, despite the agility loss. I don’t know why I did what I did then. I was just so angry. But she’s so carefree. I hope she doesn’t get smart and leave.
Covering weaknesses at first, Rookidee and Corvisquire only have a few to worry about, them being Electric, Rock, and Ice. Very few birds are able to learn Ground-Type moves that isn’t Sand Attack, so I figured Electric wouldn’t be covered, which is fine. My Totodile can handle it when she gets there. But Fighting is good against Rock and Ice, which she thankfully has Rock Smash now. I want to try out Power Trip one of these times, but it would likely be easier with a Baton Pass setter. As for Corviknight, their weaknesses include Fire and Electric. Again, no Ground, and neither do we have Water or Rock, but my Totodile can handle that.
I’m thinking of making her a bulky Pokémon, pure and simple. Maybe play with Power Trip some more. Power Trip, Hone Claws, Pluck, Steel Wing, Iron Defense, Tailwind, Agility, and Roost.
Synergy requires making sure this Pokémon doesn’t get hit by any super-effective moves at first and then outliving her opponent by setting up enough.

Stufful -> Bewear
Both are Normal/Fighting-Types with surprising health that, when backed by Fluffy and covered by Water-Types, becomes rather formidable. I wanted this Stufful to become a physical tank. However, I realize that she’s pretty useless. Despite her attitude, which I can respect at some points, she doesn’t really take training seriously. If she can’t pull her weight, I’ll have to ditch her. It’s a pity, considering I was going to get her help against Nessa. She also acts high and mighty, like she’s done nothing wrong. It irks me. It just reminds me of all those fucking snowflakes back in that dusty waste they call a farmland.

Pancham -> Pangoro
A Fighting-Type now, a Fighting/Dark-Type later after training with a Dark-Type, I grabbed her because I thought I could use her Scrappy ability to fight part Ghost-Types who were weak to Fighting-Type attacks, like Spiritomb and Goldengho. However, her clingy attitude is frankly annoying. Her intelligence and tenacity are all she has. She doesn’t have the physical prowess a Fighting-Type like her should have, and it disgusts me. I might as well get rid of her along the way to the second gym.

Trubbish -> Garbodor
Both Poison-Types, I was going to use him as a setter. Throw Toxic Spikes into the field, reset the opponent’s raised stats, poison them, and then when he faints, explode with Aftermath - given there are no Pokémon with Damp. He didn’t reach my expectations. He’s too worried about his own life, and his own indecisiveness is making me wonder if he’s thinking about running. If that’s the case, I don’t mind giving him a better excuse to do so.

Galarian Meowth -> Perrserker
Both Steel-Types, weak to Fire, Ground, and Fighting. Steely Spirit would be great if I had more Perrserker with Steely Spirit, but I do not. Still, it is something I can take advantage of in a double battle. Even without the possibility of Tough Claws or Battle Armor, this Pokémon is very capable. Intelligent, quick, durable, this Pokémon might as well be close enough to a dream come true in a catch.
This Pokémon is surprisingly versatile. Aside from a handful of Steel and Dark moves, it also has access to some interesting special moves, like Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball. To cover for weaknesses, there’s Grass and Water for Ground, Ground and Water for Fire, and Fairy and Flying for Fighting. It also has access to Bug, Electric, Fighting, Ghost, Poison, Dark, and Steel. Overall coverage includes Ground, Rock, Water, Fire, Poison, Steel, Electric, Fighting, Dragon, Bug, Grass, Psychic, Dark, Ghost, Flying, Normal, Ice, and Fairy. All 18 types. That feels great.
Moves will include Iron Head, X-Scissor, Throat Chop, Thunderbolt, Play Rough, Brick Break, Seed Bomb, and Dig. Extra moves being Aerial Ace, Shadow Claw, Gunk Shot, Chilling Water, Night Slash, and Fake Out.
Synergy? This Pokémon doesn’t need to, just make sure he’s alive long enough to get rid of any other threats that may be posed to others on the team.

- I have been studying Milo. He uses a wide variety of Grass-Type Pokémon found across Galar, Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra, but uses a few as his main Pokémon, abilities and moves randomly chosen based on the level of challenge requested.
Here is a list of Pokémon he may mostly use in fights: Oddish, Gloom, Bellossom, Lotad, Lombre, Ludicolo, Seedot, Nuzleaf, Shiftry, Cherubi, Cherrim, Bounsweet, Steenee, Tsareena, Gossifleur, Eldegoss, Applin, Flapple (G-Max), Appletun (G-Max).
Here is a list of Pokémon he rarely uses: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur (G-Max), Vileplume, Grookey, Thwackey, Rillaboom (G-Max)

Don't remember if I posted this here, but here are manga panels for the approximate size of the Blastoise.

To re-iterate Esther's observations thus far:

Because the Blastoise is very big, individual attacks aren't very effective against it. You'll need to use powerful attacks (Base 100 or higher [Also includes attacks from pokemon with boosted stats or attacks boosted via crit ratio, etc.]) or combination attacks.

Megas or their equivalents are also able to damage the Blastoise directly.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't die!

Hi everyone, I stumbled across your thread and wanted to know if there were any availability to join. It's been quite a few years since I've done this, but I remember it being a really fun and creative outlet c: I used to run a tabletop version of Pokémon and really enjoyed the storytelling aspect but had to stop after I moved. I've already read a little bit over the global forum rules and the guidelines pinned in this Discussion board c:

Name: Briar Hightower
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Trainer Class: Part time battler/former dance coach
Physical Appearance: Briar is 6'1" ft curvy woman weighing 171 lbs. She's in pretty great shape due to her athletic lifestyle, but she's put on a few pounds due to her drinking problem, but it isn't very noticeable. She's fairly dark skinned, orange eyes, long spring green hair usually thrown into a bun. She always has a smug grin no matter her state of mind.
Clothing: she wears a light blue tank top with a ditto face, a dark blue jean jacket with sleeves that stop at her elbows, denim Jean's with rips all the way up. Big blue bug eye looking sunglasses to cover her bloodshot red eyes. She wears them on her head when her eyes look normal. She wears bright purple sneakers with a drawing of a girl dancing on the side.
Personality: Briar just wants to get shitfaced and have a good time. She's got an anger issue, but tries to be nice and apologize when she snaps. She's very competitive and loves to win in pokémon battles. Loves to make money. She calls everyone honey and sugar, and doesn't really think much of it.

Backstory: Briar grew up with an absent father and a bartender mom from Paldea. She moved to Hoenn, with Briar's eventual father. They had a great life for five years, but then he up and left when Briar was two. Despite her missing father, Briar handled it well. She was always a very active girl and threw herself into whatever she was doing. Always wanting to impress her friends and everyone around her. She was a troublemaker too. A brawler. She got into fights on the regular and she won too. Got suspended a few times when she lived in Rustburo Hoenn.

Her first ever pokemon she ever got was a shroodle, she had gotten from her cousin when his family visited from Paldea. Her mother protested, but after seeing the look in Briar's eyes, she couldn't take her first pokemon away. She made the girl take care of the pokemon and take responsibility for it, which became a team effort because Briar was not responsible and the little troublesome mouse did keep Briar well-behaved, most of the time.

She began using some of her more violent energy to draw. Paint. Color. Make pictures. She insulted her drawings all the time, but just loved making them because they kept her focused long enough to forget whatever might have frustrated her that day. In her teen years, she became more rebellious, and she still got into a few fights every now and then, but they were out of school and she rarely got in trouble for them. At some point she began drawing bigger and more wild drawings. abstract drawings mostly. Funny shapes and sizes. In her early teen years she would get her second and third pokemon; tentacool and koffing.

She actually got in trouble with the law quite a few times and went to juvenile detention five different times. When Briar was 17, one of her mother's old friend's was opening a bar in paldea, her home region and she wanted her friend to to run the bar. She was thrilled to be able to move back to Her home region. Briar, not so much. It meant she would be leaving her old friends behind, but she reluctantly went. She didn't have a job or a place to stay. She kept in contact with some of her friends over Chatter and shinxtagram.

She spent the next two years living in Paldea with her family. She even attended school in Paldea her senior year in highschool. She made a few friends in Paldea. Got into trouble in Paldea. She really got into dancing when she was in Paldea. That was her new favorite thing. She still drew but it wasn't as often as her now grafaiai would have liked. While in her senior year, she befriended a paldean wooper and eventually a varoom. After graduating highschool she attempted to go to college but dropped out after the first year. Tensions with her mother escalated and she eventually moved out, and within weeks she left the region all together. It was a bit of a rough leaving and both Briar and her mother said things they both regretted.

Briar went to galar where she'd start her new life. She lived in Hammerlocke, galar for the next three years. She took up a job assisting old people. That may have motivated her to kickstart her drinking problem. That same year she started her own dance club and was really successful. So much so that she could quit her old job she hated and rely fully on this for income. All things were going in her favor. She was even battling regularly too, but then she started staying out too late. Partying too hard and drinking a little too much. She loved it when people bought drinks for her. Occasional herbs. At some point, she started falling behind on her studio rent and she lost her dance club. Tragic. Then she lost her apartment a week later. She stayed at a friend's house for a few days where she eventually managed to make enough money from pokemon battles that she could start making apartment rent again. She didn't want to go back to her old apartment she got picked out of, however. Her pride wouldn't let her, so she moved to Spikemuth.

Her home was an apartment in a somewhat run down crime ridden neighborhood, but she got by just fine. She was still a fighter and kicked ass. She befriended her sixth pokemon here, a smeargle. She still had no dance club, but she had a home, and rent was cheap too! Cheap enough that she could continue furthering her alcohol addiction again. She went back down that rabbit hole again. She kept up her dance routines and exercises and even though her pokemon battles were fairly successful, her chances of opening up her dance club again were slowly fading away. Maybe one day she'd get her act together. But not today!!!

Name: Johnathan (John/Johnny) Grayson
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Trainer Class: Battler
Physical Appearance: Standing at 5'7" with Fair colored skin, Purple eyes and smooth short Black hair, his body build is slim thanks to traveling around a lot.
Clothing: His attire consists of a light Gray turtleneck shirt under a Black jacket with Gray fur linings, a Black scarf, dark Blue baggy pants and Black sneakers with White soles.
Personality: Johnathan is a kind and sociable individual who isn't afraid to have the first word in a conversation, always eager to get to know people with a strong love for battling. When it comes to Pokemon, he is always eager to learn new things about them and one day dreams of being able to find and catch a Pokemon spoken of in the legends. One downside to himself is he can sometimes be oblivious to some things around him, namely the "evil side" of his Wigglytuff, to which even if someone else sees what his Wigglytuff is like, he tends not to believe them due to never having seen it himself, making him somewhat dense.
Backstory: Born in Stow-on-side in the Galar region, Johnathan grew up with a mother who worked at the local cafe and a father who ran an antique shop, mainly known for selling Evolution items. Nothing particularly interesting happened in Johnathan's life until his sixth birthday, in which his grandparents gifted him with two Pokemon eggs to raise, Johnathan was very excited and eager to find out what his two eggs would hatch in to, the first egg that hatched was an Igglybuff, one who took an immediate liking to Johnathan, only a few days after did his second egg hatch into a Bagon that appeared slightly larger than average, he too quickly liking his would-be trainer. Johnathan got along with his new Pokemon wonderfully, much to his parents delight, although as time passed, there were moments where his parents' Pokemon (his mother's Florges and his father's Dusknoir) appeared unsettled when around Igglybuff, Johnathan had no idea why and simply brushed it off as he believed he knew his Pokemon best.

When Johnathan turned ten, it was no surprise that Johnathan wanted to go and become a trainer, travelling across Galar to see what the rest of his home region had to offer as well as catching new Pokemon and training them alongside his Igglybuff and Bagon who both evolved into Wigglytuff and Salamence. When Johnathan set his sights out to the rest of the world to explore, he was more excited than before and happily jumped at the opportunity. Things throughout his travels seemed normal... although he could never understand what it was that often scared some people and Pokemon away form him.

Gender: Female
Ability: Cute Charm
Special Features: She can switch from sweet and nice to sinister and intimidating enough to make even the most fearless of individuals flinch.
History: Ever since she was just an Igglybuff, Wigglytuff was born with a sinister and seemingly evil personality that was almost as strong as her love for her trainer, willing to do just about anything to ensure he stays happy, from helping out with tasks, giving her all in battle... or meticulously planning on severely harming anyone who makes him unhappy. While she does care about her fellow Pokemon in Johnathan's team and acts super sweet when her trainer's with him, the moment his back is turned, she becomes extremely strict, making sure nobody steps out of line. The only exception is Salamence who she sees as her best friend or brother, being the most likely Pokemon she would listen to.
Gender: Male
Ability:
Special Features: He is larger than the average Salamence; While the average Salamence stands at 4'11", Johnatha's Salamence stands up to 6'0"!
History: Bagon hatched sometime shortly after Igglybuff did, quickly warming up to Johnathan and Igglybuff and played together a lot, while he was afraid of Igglybuff's dark side, he slowly became less afraid growing up and more of annoyed... especially when Johnathan doesn't know about it. Salamence knew that Igglybuff would very much harm good people for Johnathan's sake and while he too cared about his trainer, he knew he had to make sure to keep Wigglytuff in line to make sure she didn't go too far.

Hello! I'm actually already on the server so I hope its cool if I just send in Hana's form and hopefully the form is just fine!

Name: Hana Ikarry
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Trainer Class: Battler
Physical Appearance: Hana has short puffy dark periwinkle-colored hair. Her skin is clear and extremely pale. In addition to her being skinny and small, she looks relatively weak. Her eyes are wide, a bright shade of maroon with pale yellow pupils the color of cream (because of anime logic.) Clothing: Hana wears a white close-fitting crop top with a turtleneck. She wears a black leather jacket over the crop top with bright, colorful flowers embroidered. She wears dark purple shorts and white socks stained with dirt and mud. Her brown boots are caked in mud and dirt and worn from being well-used. She also wears a flower crown of maroon and pink flowers.
(Will add drawing of her here soon)

Personality: Hana is rather quiet, preferring to let her actions speak for her. Other than that, Hana is rather polite and well-meaning and is relatively kind to her friends. Hana is also a bit of a thrill seeker and may be too willing to do something that could end her life instantly. She has a zest for life that is hard to match. And something you wouldn't expect of someone her size.

Backstory: Hana grew up in a little in Sinnoh that has no importance to her story unless I decide it's important. Hana's family was a pretty average one. She lived with her mother and father and her big brother. When Hana was born, the family was happy to bring the baby girl into their life until they realized something. Whenever Hana's mother, father, or brother called her name, she wouldn't respond if she couldn't see their face. After a time, the family made the realization. Their daughter was deaf.
After this realization, Hana's family taught her to read lips and treated her like a helpless child. They didn't even think to learn sign language to understand their child, leaving Hana all on her own to teach herself such skills through the use of books and whatever she could get her hands on.

One day a year after her brother had gone on his own journey, the family went to watch the World Coronation Series. Hana was ecstatic to watch the battles watching as the pokemon fought each other and having a fun game with herself trying to guess what moves they were using! It was a fun game, and by the end of the event, as they walked away, Hana looked up to her mother, grinning shakily and choppily asked, "Do you think I could do that?" Her mother stared at her long, and Hana read her lips. One world, and she felt her heart shatter. The world she read was "No."

As the years went by, Hana would start getting bullied by her brother, letting his houndoom fake snap at her as if it would attack her. Her brother would call her a helpless baby saying she wouldn't amount to anything. And one day, Hana was done and couldn't handle the nonexistent support from her family no longer and ran away, taking her money with her and taking on the occasional odd job of mowing an elders lawn or helping feed a gyms pokemon and just doing what she could when she was down on money or was hungry.
Hana would meet a few pokemon along the way that she would catch with pokeballs. The first pokemon she met was her servine, who at the time was a snivy, and soon after him Munna.

Trainer class: Master class ranked 13

I finished by bio, may I please join?
Master class is only ranked 1-8, and is strictly banned from the start. You can make your way in, provided you show you have a strong enough OC in RP. At the least, this means Mega Evolution or Battle Bond Pokemon admin-approved by StellarWind Elsydeon (for either, you can't have both on one OC).

Pokemon also have a soft move limit. They may have 8 battle-ready moves and the other moves they've learned in the past may be used, but they will have heavy penalties in their use, and it is frowned upon using any non-battle-ready moves in an official setting, if not outright disqualifiable.

Right, so I think you're a bit confused. Do you have prior experience with role plays and submitting character Bios?

World Cooking Coronation Series

Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, to the World Cooking Coronation Series! Set up by five of the most highly rated chefs in the world!

The World Cooking Coronation Series goes on a competition-type of format, where two chefs go up in a one-versus-one cooking competition to make the best dish that they can. Each win grants ten points to your ranking, while losing takes five away from you. In most Cook-offs, a referee must be present to choose the winner, and they must be without bias. In some cases, a higher-up may start an event, where many chefs can participate, and gain twenty-five points if you win the competition, twenty if you are second place, and eighteen points when you are in third place. Anything below third place will remove five points from your ranking, like normal 1v1 matches.

Tiers:

Commis Chef - 0 Points to 1000 Points
• This rank is usually for people who recently joined the WCCS, or are unskilled in cooking in general. This is also a good tier to practice your own cooking skills.

Chef de Partie - 1001 Points to 1750 Points
• A tier above Commis Chef, where more skilled chefs are present. When chefs reach this tier, they would usually be referred to as a great chef, although there is still room for improvement.

Sous Chef - 1751 Points to 2500 Points
• A tier before the revered Chef de Cuisine rank, usually filled with great chefs, with major food chains or restaurants in many regions. Their skills have been developed for many years, and can be called some of the best of the best.

Chef de Cuisine - 2501+ Points
• The revered Chef de Cuisine rank, filled only with the cream of the crop, the best of the best, whose skills have been developed for more than a decade. They cannot be compared to any other chefs, and are the best in their craft. They are fully developed in what they do, and are the true diamonds in a pile of rocks.

Goodluck competitors in the WCCS!

Should Grassy Terrain boost the effects of Growth? This would mean that Grassy Terrain allows growth to raise a pokemon's Atk & Sp. Atk by 2 stages. It would share this effect with Harsh Sunlight, and on that note—When Grassy Terrain & Harsh Sunlight are active, Growth's effect will be tripled rather than quadrupled. That last part is largely to stop Grassy Surge Rillaboom, Solarbeam/Blade mons from getting to +4 Atk/Sp. Atk in one turn and then walloping opponents.

Now as a separate matter, I did mention at the start that Rpers could suggest mechanics from their favorite fan games and we would find a way to integrate them. I'm suggesting a favorite of mine, Pokémon Reborn. Specifically, they have a system of Field Effects that I particularly enjoy. They can be found here: Field Effects | Pokemon Reborn Wikia | Fandom.

Reborn has a lot of fields: 30+ in fact, but for now, I suggest we only add the changes to Grassy Terrain, Electric Terrain, Psychic Terrain, Misty Terrain, Burning Field, Rainbow Field, & Swamp Field.

Iris has both Solar Beam and Solar Blade. Also Sky Attack while she's transformed, and Sun effects are also active for the time being.
Oh, and the duration should be short, since she had little time to recover. Like 30 seconds in-RP. Then I'll have her fall wherever she's flying above at the moment (sea, most likely).

I'll have to recheck my Pokemon's movesets. At the moment, Swampert can have Earthquake, which is kinda strong. I can just have him know Earthquake before changing it to Sand Tomb before the Whirl Cup. XD

When Sceptile isn't being bothered by exhaustion, there's Leaf Storm, Focus Blast, Leaf Blade if critting, Night Slash if critting, I can have it have Focus Energy and have it hold a Scope Lens to increase the chances to do so to 100%. As he'd still have Focus Energy trained since the Gardenia fight.

If this thing's at lower health, Wishiwashi has Brine? and Beat Up? Eh...

Swampert's got Liquidation. XD But it also has Counter and Mirror Coat. The problem is, will it survive a single hit? :'D Probably not.

Hatterene has Psychic, Psyshock, Light Screen, Dazzling Gleam, and Aromatherapy as possible moves to use. But uhhh.... Not sure how well those would do.

Aerodactyl has Stone Edge and Thunder Fang. And... I guess Fly.

Parasect isn't much of a battling mon, but she has Dry Skin (not sure how much she can absorb lmfao), but she also has Aromatherapy and Spore. If all else fails, we can use Spore. I uh.... kinda forgot about that, in all honesty.

Froslass has Hex. What she can do though is start Hail and have her use Aurora Veil, then have someone change it back to Sunny Day. She also has Confuse Ray and Will-O-Wisp just in case.

So uhhh... that's it XD
