Private/Closed Kyogre Lake Academy

“Charmeleon, Thunder Punch! Kingler, use Razor Shell!” Dom shouted.

Just as they had practiced before, Charmeleon readied the electric energy into its fist, and charged at Kingler. Kinglets claw became enveloped on water energy and it charged at Charmeleon, but the yellow fire lizard was just slightly faster, sending kingler flying back, knocking it out.

“Return Kingler, and good job Charmeleon, looks like that training with Electabuzz has really done you some good.” Dom said.

Charmeleon nodded in agreement.

Man, it’s really been a month.” Dom sighed.

He sat back against the rocks of the mountain where he had trained every morning with the group of Charmeleon, though, his sessions with Hanzo have also started going a bit longer, so Dom tended to fall asleep in classes. As he sat back, the group of Charmeleon began to gather. Just as they all gathered, the sun had risen, just as it did a month ago, only this time, they all started glowing. The entire pack of Charmeleon evolved into Charizard. Dom was astonished by the sight of the Charizard, all roaring triumphantly. He noticed the one that stood out from the rest of the group, the jet black Charizard standing at the center. Once they finished with their roar, the group of Charizard ran over to Dom to hug him.

“Hey- c’mon guys stop.” Dom said, overjoyed by the rare sight.

Once they were done with their onslaught of affection, the mood seemingly changed. From the group stepped out the Charizard with a scar, and it had a serious look on its face. Dom could understand, not only from the situation at hand, but the aura of the Charizard had changed as well.

“Do you… want to battle me?” Dom asked.

The Charizard nodded. Dom called out his Lycanroc, and the two almost began the battle, if it weren’t for the black Charizard swooping down in front of Lycanroc. Both Lycanroc and Dom seemed confused.

“Do you… want to battle with me?” Dom asked.

The Charizard looked back and nodded. Lycanroc stepped to the side and the two Charizard readied for battle.

“Alright, let’s bring back old memories! Charizard, Dragon rage!” Dom shouted.

Both Charizard had their tail flames light ablaze. The draconic energy radiated from both, and they shot off the attacks. The two attack met at the middle, the two Pokémon were now evenly matched, the strongest of their group. As the Dragon Rage attacks still clashed, the black Charizard had a gleam in its eye, a spark of determination, and the attack changed into a much more focused, powerful beam of energy.

“That’s… Dragon Pulse!” Dom exclaimed.

The dragon pulse tore through the dragon rage and hit the Charizard with the scar head on. There was a bit of silence, as the dust settled from the attacks. Dom and Charizard watched the dust cloud closely as the other Charizard and the rest of the group stepped through the cloud. Dom didn’t let his guard down, but could tell from the Scarred Charizards aura that it was admitting defeat. The two met in the same place they had met a month ago. The Scarred Charizard reached its hand out, and the Black Charizard shook its hand. Finally, the two had come to a mutual understanding of one another.

“Right, I’m happy to celebrate, but later. I’m super exhausted and have a test later, let’s celebrate this all tomorrow though! Same as always!” Dom said.

The scarred Chariard shook its head, and then pointed off into the sky. Dom was a bit confused, but then understood.

“Oh… you’re leaving now.” Dom sighed.

The scarred Charizard nodded.

“Right… well, make sure you visit soon!” Dom said with a smile, as the group of Charizard turned to take flight.

Dom felt an indescribable sadness, but was soon overwhelmed by confusion at the shadow that loomed over him. It was the Black Charizard, the same Yellow Charmander he had been training with this whole time.

“You aren’t leaving with your friends?” Dom asked.

The Charizard shook its head, then pointed at the Pokeball that Lycanroc was in.

“You… want to be one of my Pokémon?” Dom asked.

The Charizard nodded feverishly.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Dom said, relieved he wouldn’t have to say goodbye to all of his new friends.

Dom pulled the Luxury ball he had kept on him out of his back pocket, and tapped Charizard with it. It didn’t even have to shake before it was caught, and Dom soon let out his newest party member. The two went up to the edge of the mountain to watch the rest of the Charizard fly off into into the sunrise.

“See you again, Scarizard!” Dom yelled, hoping the group would hear him.

After a while of watching, Dom saw a flamethrower shot off from the distance, hoping it was a response to his final goodbye.

“Now… about that… nap.” Dom said, dozing off.

Charizard caught him before he fell, and pulled him back up. Dom was still asleep, but Charizard hoisted him up on his back and flew up to look around the rest of the island to see if there were any other people around. It noticed the tall building in the distance, as well as the people crowded on top, and decided to fly Dom there.

This month had been pretty good for Ivan he had been doing excellent in his classes and had been doing a pretty good job with his battling classes. He had even been keeping track of his wins and losses when ever he had battled someone, the total of wins were thirty-six and the total losses were twelve. He had also been training in his free time with his uncle, who had not gone easy on him.

Ivan had been sitting down in the woods for a while waiting for a certain pokemon he had been hoping to catch, he then heard rustling coming from the woods. He stood up and saw a nidoking looking down at him angrily, it brought it's fist up and slammed it down where ivan was standing, instead of nidokings fist making impact with ivan, it made a loud clanging sound.

"Thanks Red, I was kinda worried for a second there." Ivan said shaking furiously. Red nodded and knocked nidokings fist away sending nidoking flying onto the ground. "Nidoking I would like you to meet Red the Scizor." Ivan said while putting his hand on Red's shoulder.

The nidoking had stood up and began running towards Ivan and Red. "Okay Red, let's see if your intimation works." After hearing Ivan Red put both of it's claws next to it's head and made the face the same direction his head was. The Nidoking stopped and saw Red with his pincers next to his face, it then looked like the pincers were two separate heads, the Nidoking felt uneasy and started to step back from Red. "Now use Bullet Punch!" Red blitzed the Nidoking and Hit it right in the stomach causing the Nidoking to fall onto it's back.

"Your mine now!" Ivan said as he tossed a pokeball at the nidoking, it shaked three times before it dinged. Ivan walked to it and picked it up but not before patting Red on the head, to which Red simply crossed it's arms, he didn't see the appeal of being patted on the head. "Okay, let's go to that Eevee Grove, right after I put this guy away and edit out team a little bit." Ivan said as he and Red made their way back to the school.

The next month seemed to just come and go for Thomas, his grades were decent enough and he got along quite well with most of the other students around, the most iconic thing he could remember that happened was his Dreepy evolved into a Drakloak sometime in the midst of training. Thomas was on the beach, not just to admire the ocean views like students have come to learn he would do, he was on the beach to train with his Pokemon, he hasn't taken part in any battles, so he used his spare time to train with his Pokemon, his Steelix was curled up while Thomas sat on the iron snake Pokemon's head, Gyarados and Drakloak stood opposite each other as if they were about to battle.

"Alright, Drakloak, Phantom Force!" Thomas commanded, Drakloak's body turned into a jet black steam before it suddenly vanished. "Now Gyarados, use Hurricane to make a barrier around yourself!" Thomas yelled as he darted his head to Gyarados, the red Gyarados let out a roar before a strong wind began to surround her, the gust started to swirl around her and picked up some sand as it did so which started to make it look more like a thick dust devil. For a moment, all was silent apart from the blowing winds and the crashing sea waves on the beach until a black cloud abruptly emerged against the side of the tornado and was blown back a few feet before it materialized back into his Drakloak.

"Nice work with that Hurricane, Gyarados." Thomas smiled and commended his Pokemon before he looked at Drakloak. "And don't worry Drakloak, that was great, just a bit more training and I know you'll pull it off well enough to break any defense." He said as he slid off of Steelix's head and walked over to pet Drakloak's head, something that caused her to let out a cheerful little chirp, as he petted her, a little Dreepy emerged from the back of her head and let out a chirp of her own as it rested on Drakloak's head.

“I’m awake!” Reese gasped, bursting out of the blankets, batting at them to get untangled. Her hair was a mess, her eyes a little crazed. “Oh. Hey, Jack,” she said sleepily, pupils dilating back to their normal size. She yawned, then shook her head and popped up to stand in a star shape, stretching. The T-shirt she slept in came down to her knees, and her Kabuto still refused to remove itself from her presence, though she had gotten it to cling to places other than her head. Currently, she could feel Ricochet’s weight on her left shoulder blade, and he skittered up to perch on her shoulder.

She’d been up till 4 AM deepening the hole she’d started in the rocks. Since she’d founded the archaeology club about a week into school — though it was still pretty small — the rocks and forest and even the beach had been combed and picked over, each unique rock or potential ancient relic brought back to the school for inspection at their base of operations — AKA the History of Pokemon classroom. There was a whole cabinet section just dedicated to their findings, and it was already almost half full. Reese liked to call it “the Vault” because it sounded cool and top-secret-like, but it was really just a lockable cabinet.

Since they seemed to have gotten most of the surface stuff in the topsoil, Reese had suggested they started digging deeper. They hadn’t reaped much underground, but Reese still had high hopes and fantasies of discovering an ancient ruin beneath the school or a legendary fossil just a hundred feet or so down. She wasn’t completely irresponsible— of course she marked the perimeter of the hole with caution tape so no one would fall in or steal things. No, she wasn’t paranoid…. Well, maybe a little.

Regardless, for Reese the past month had been filled with late (or early depending how you think about it) nights, days of excitement, making new friends, and dragging said new friends on mostly fruitless archaeological expeditions. At some point, the History of Pokémon teacher had to set a curfew on the meetings, since he didn’t want to be supervising teenagers from 5 PM until three in the morning every Thursday and occasional supplemental meeting. Now they could only bring their findings back to the classroom before 8, but it didn’t stop Reese from staying out late (or early) anyways.

Back to the present. Reese saluted Jack’s statement to not waste a second. “Yep yep! For sure! Never had any plans to!” She flashed a grin before grabbing her folded uniform and belt of Pokeballs and running barefoot down the hall to the third-floor bathrooms. (OOC: First dorm floor is third floor right…? <.<)

Reese headed into the girls’ room and stripped for a quick shower, then changed into her uniform. Ricochet had been standing guard over her stuff while she used one of the shower stalls. The girl shook out her hair like a dog, blasted the hairdryer for a few minutes, then raced out the door to drop the rest of her things at her dorm and pick up her book bag. She didn’t want to be late for Geology.

(OOC: @=Nightshade= yep third floor is first dorm floor, well actual dorm floor.)

The two trainers met wach other in the center of the ring and shook hands, Charlie had a wide grin across your face "I wasn't expecting to see you in grand finals hehe, let alone know that Zach was hosting the tournament" Zach butted in, getting in between the two and wrapping an arm around Cody and Charlie "Hey its called promoting. Anyways with the last battle iver and done shouldn't we see what your prize is Charlie!" With excited eyes he shouted out to the crowd "I would like to introduxe you to your Champion of the first Rooftop Rumble. Charlie!" "Hey Charlie, thanks for the match. I happen to know what the prize is so I'm happy you get to have it" Cody was a good sport, he was upset he had lossed, but he was proud of Charlie and knew it wasn't the end of the world.

Charlie smiled at Cody before stepping up to Zach, who was now behind a table with a large box covering the center if it. Charlie looked up in the sky towards the risen sun, and to her surprise she spotted a.....black charizard?! Charlie could barely make out the charizards figure with the sunlight blasting her eyes. She couldn't tell it had somebody on the back of it. Her attention was brought back to Zach as he raised his arms to the sky and placed his hands on the box "ok everyone, our grand prize for the Tournament is sire to be an exciting one. Directly from the eevee grotto here on the island, we found a one of a kind eevee!" Zach shouted that out and lifted up the box dramatically. Everyone stared at the table where the box previously was...it was silent at the rooftop....Charlie and everyone looked under the box, nothing was there..
.
"AH WHERE IS THE POKEBALL!" Zach blurted out in shock, dropping the box behind him as he began to look under and around the table."hey!" With a shout from Cody and a point towards the edge of the roof all the students including Charlie faced the direction he pointed. To their surprise and shock, 3 students were at the edge, all climbing onto a struggling Honchcrow "What!?" Everyone shouted in sync, one of the students had a premier ball in hand "that's the prize! They stole it!" A angry Cody ran, attempting to catch the students before they flew away. The 3 students all panicked, crawling around and hanging on the legs of the honchrow "fly away! Hurry up!" One cried out. As commanded honchcrow flew away from the building, after just a moment it began to slowly float down, even with it flapping its wings as hard as it could, it couldn't fly around 3 teenagers at once "I won that you brats!!" Charlie shouted out, running over to the edge once she saw the students and honchcrow dissappear over the edge. Without hesitation Charlie leaped over the edge, tossing a pokeball up above her as she jumped. With a determined expression Charlie was falling faster than the bird pokemon could float, the 3 students realized she was chasing after then and all began to freak out "dude she's insane! She jumped after us!?" "We gotts get out of her quickly! Get this pokeball to big bro before she catches is!" Amongst the panic one student commanded honchrow to fall faster so they can reach the ground and run on foot "what!? Charlie what the hell! She's gonna kill herself jumoing from that height!" Cody looked over the edge of the roof in surprise and worry. Suddenly a bright green dragon swooped by, sending Cody backwards in surprise "huh?!" As Charlie fell she began to get close and closer to the ground. The other 3 had already managed to make it to the ground and was already running, making their way across the bridge over the lake that surrrounded the school. Right before Charlie touched the ground that green dragon scooped her up and quickly flew around sat her on the ground "thanks Dune, at least this time it was intentional right" Charlie grinned at her partner who simply rolled her eyes. After recalling Dune, she continued to make chase "thats my pokemon your theives!" She yelled out, she was gaining ground on the 3 but they had a decent head start, nearing the end of the bridge right as Charlie made it to the beginning...

During that month, Emma had gotten closer to Jack, and talked with Charlie, Dom and occasionally some of her siblings' roommates, such as Ivan and Alex. When she had time, she had bonded with the little Larvitar, and it had evolved into Pupitar. It was at this point things changed. She then woke up today. She figured she'd get dressed before Dom or anyone else showed up. It was at that point a pokeball opened to reveal a Poliwhirl. She had Caught Poliwhirl after a long day at the beach. When she had finished getting dressed, she then went outside her room, and waited with her Poliwhirl. Emma had also put in an application for a spot on the Cheer team.

-----

James tried to improve his social skills, but it didn't do much, still popular with random Coordinator Girls, but he had found a Metal Coat one day on the beach. He now had to get a hold of a Link Cable, and use it on Scyther. In the month, he had been training Vulpix, but he then looked at the Fire Stone, holding on to it.

"When the time is right." He tried to not wake up Alex.

James had gotten dressed when he heard a massive Thunder hit a nearby roof. James then did his usual, and hopped out the window onto Steelix.

------

Over the next month, Laura had gotten closer to Ivan, and met most of her classmates, Laura woke up an hour before, she'd figured she get stuff ready before Ivan woke up. She walked over to the showers, with her uniform. When she got out, she got dressed, but realized something she forgot her tie, so she ran into the dorm, her shirt only having the bottom button undone. She raced to find the tie and eventually with the help of her Ditto, she found it, and fixed everything up as she started braiding her hair.

-------

As for Jason, the last month was a particularly good one for him, he ended up with a spot in the Archeology club when it formed, and actually had a perfect record in his battle class, he came across Charlie in one of his battles, Dune had beat Metagross, but Lurantis proceeded to sweep the rest of the team, even with the Flaafy evolving mid Battle. He had been doing well with his studies, and he had gotten closer to Reese and started talking with a few others. He woke up two hours early, as usual and was training Lurantis on honing in his Leaf Storm, with help from the entire team due to Lurantis's ability. He had hit the Pokémon Center then the showers, getting ready for the day.

The sun's rays shone through the window of room 99 and right into the eyes of... no one. Del was already up and active, jogging with Connor for some light exercise. "Hey, Del, I know we've been doing these morning exercises for the past week, but I've been meaning to ask, why exactly do you?" "What kind of question is that? Because you're my friend, and because..." Del stopped which subsequently caused Connor to stop jogging. "The cheer team never rests! Team, Formation ABC!" As Del yelled that out, he reached into his pocket and tossed out his 3 pokemon, Algo, Arith, and Vars. Vars flew into Del's jacket as he turned his back to Connor, tucking his right hand between the buttons and placing his left hand under his collar. "Introducing the new and improved Kyogre Lake Academy's cheer team! Our 2nd and 3rd member's respectively, Arith and Algo!" The toxel stood up on his back legs and placed his back against whimsicott's as they began to spin around Del. "Introducing the first member of Kyogre Lake Academy's cheer team, Vars!" Vars came rocketing out of Dels jacket through the neck hole and began to fly just above Arith and Algo also circling Del. "And finally, Kyogre Lake Academy's...." "CAPTAIN!" cried out 3 boys coming from the sky. "Who is-" Del's face sunk. "Of all the-" "Captain! We got- we got a pokemon for you!" The Honchkrow they were riding on collapsed and began to plummet to the ground, out of fear one of the boys threw the pokeball and Del caught it. The 3 boys got up and began to run towards Del and Connor, returning the Honchkrow to it's pokeball. "I got this strange feeling those boys caught something other than a pokemon." Connor lighlty laughed. "Yeah, trouble." Del said with his arms crossed.

With the sun shining down for the first month - Or most of it, anyway -, life had been exciting for young Hokori, having been extremely productive. For one, her grades and the like had exceeded her expectations, even if they weren't quite perfect with no thanks to the occassional lack of clarity in her voice now, and she had also become closer to both her roommate and Tom...Oh, and some of the others in Charlie's friend group.
Finally, however, was something important: A new pokèmon, a Darumaka, was caught by Hokori.

So, in the present, with the Darumaka - Unbeknowest to Hokori - close to evolution and watching the events of the rooftop battle and subsequent theft of the prize much to everyone's horror. Given her concern, Hokori quickly rushed to go down the stairs - A safer option for following, if slower -, her pokèmon all following the best they could, taking glances out the windows and yelling out to make sure Charlie was okay.

"Charlie! Don't hurt yourself!" She insisted as she stumbled out the maij door as Charlie was on the bridge, taking a breath for a moment before rushing herself with a smack to her cheeks as she tried to follow, wanting to help her friend.

Charlie sprinted, never has she had a pokemon stolen from her before, so the first time was definitely rage inducing "get back here you brats!!" She roared out. Fumbling forward when she heard her neame being called "H-hokori?! You were watching me?" Charlie turned and began to run backwards "I'll be ok, c'mon hurry up" she waved at her roomate, she wasn't thinking about Hokori's athleticism but she wasn't exactly calm. Charlie's turned back to her forward position and continued her sprint across the bridge. Once she had made it to the end of the bridge she looked around in search of the 3 hooligans that stole her prize "wh-where did they go!?" Charlie frantically jumped around, looking everywhere before catching sight of a pokemon being returned, she looked ahead and could make out several peope "hey!" Fuelled with anger she charged at the group of people. Suddenly stopping in her tracks when she realized it was Del and Connor "Huh?!" She noticed the premier ball in Del's hands. Normally Charlie would have jumped to conclusion and assumed he was an accomplis for the crime of straling, but she knew Del well enough that he wasn't about that sort of stuff. "Del.......who are these guys, and why are they cowering behind you?" She said trying not to get angry at her friend.

As Charizard flew towards the rooftop, it noticed the commotion, and then the multiple people jumping off a roof. Charizard quickly dove towards the commotion as 3 people on a single Honchcrow were being chased by a girl. As the Charizard landed a little farther away, Dom shot awake.

What is this overwhelming aura?!” Dom thought.

He looked around at the commotion to see Del, Charlie, and a bunch of other people. But only one stood out to him.

It’s..!” Doms on thoughts were interrupted by the aura coming from the same entity he has met so many times before.

It was Dels Whimsicott. Even Charizard backed up a bit from the overall energy coming from the cotton Pokémon. Dom recalled his Charizard and walked over to the group too see what was going on.

“Hey! What’s happening over here!” Dom yelled as he finally ran to the group.

Reese, oblivious to what was going on with the rooftop tournament—or that it was even going on—arrived at her Geology class just about on schedule. She burst through the door with a grin causing heads to turn her way. Not many heads, since there were so few people in the class, but all the regulars greeted her with an answering smile. The teacher, Professor Koga (as he insisted on being called), also smiled as he peered at her over his rectangular spectacles.

“Reese,” Professor Koga said warmly, making a mark on his clipboard and gesturing to her seat. “So nice of you to join us.”

Reese bobbed her head in acknowledgement and took her seat. Since most students at KLA entered on battle records or coordinator awards, the not-required history and science classes were far less populated than battle strategy courses. In fact, Reese’s geology class only had around five regulars, though today there were a couple faces she didn’t recognize.

Hello, Reese. The robotic voice came from the desk behind her, and Reese twisted in her chair to give a lopsided grin to Mika Porche, the archaeology club’s treasurer and keeper of the Vault’s key (though Reese had a copy, just in case). The girl was a whiz with numbers and had good instincts, but was painfully shy— such that she only ever spoke with a text to speech program. Still, she was fun, and Ricochet got along well with her Sableye, who was currently sitting on Mika’s lap as she typed on her device. Had any luck with the hole?

“Nothing so far,” Reese replied, and Mika gave her a sympathetic look, though she didn’t look her in the eyes. “Glad you’re keeping track of the club’s cash money, though. What about you, Sim? Your crystal carving going anywhere?”

Simeon Fenley, another member, unofficial designer, and resident artist of the archaeology club, turned from across the room. “Oh, hell yeah!” he shouted, heedless to the fact that it was a classroom. He ignored the cool glare he received from the Professor. “That amethyst geode you got a few days ago was great quality! Excadrill and I are turning it into a Primarin—”

Thank you, Mr. Fenley,” Professor Koga said forcefully as he finished writing on the board. “Kindly refrain from any further interruption.”

“Sorry, Professor,” Reese and Simeon chorused in unison, along with Mika’s electronic My apologies, sir. Sim’s Excadrill shifted in its sleep under his desk.

There were a couple new faces in class today, but Alice and Cody were both regulars. They hadn’t joined the archaeology club yet, but Reese hadn’t given up. Right now, though, she had to pay attention to the lesson. She had aced the last few tests, but that didn’t mean she could afford to slack off.

Jack smiled as Reese left the room. The two of them had become good friends in the month that had passed. He checked his calendar before leaving. All of the due dates for his assignments were already finished, but today had nothing marked on it. It was his first free day in a month. Suddenly excited, he grabbed his bag and stormed outside his room.

He was going to head to Emma’s room, but saw that she was already outside. “Hey, Emma. Would you happen to be free today?”

"Oh, wow, you 3 have seriously messed up." Del said to the pathetic trio behind him. "I take it this is yours, Charlie? I have no other idea why you'd be as motivated as you are chasing Scrawny, Scraggly, and Skinny." Del looked at the premiere ball and smirked. "You must really want to try out whatever's in here, huh?" He tossed it back to Charlie before turning and offering her and the 3 miscreants a choice. "Firstly, you 3 will apologize for taking that pokemon from it's rightful owner, and secondly..." Del began to walk towards Charlie with Algo following just begind him. "We'll give Charlie a chance to see what her prize is by having a double battle, me and Charlie vs...." "Hey! We had to use MY Honchkrow to get out of there, I'm no fit to battle!" Scraggly tried to say as bravely as possible. "Fine, Del and Charlie vs. Me and Skinny. Heh, but don't think we'll go easy on you captain, we'll show you the fruits of our efforts!" Scrawny practically yelled. "Yeah. This is my chance to prove myself as well... to Charlie. It's been a minute since that Flaffy incident, but I still can't fully forgive myself for not being able to help more" Del thought. "Alright, let's do this!" Connor, Scraggly, Vars, and Arith all walk over to the side to avoid the confrontation that was about to ensue.

Emma had been sitting, she was feeling hot as her face went red, she was thinking about Jack, and how he was so helpful, kind, and caring, after having another nightmare, so she would undo her tie, and let herself breathe a bit, letting a couple of buttons loose. As she did that she heard footsteps, and gave a breath she didn't know she was holding. She then cooled down enough that she was fine, but her heart was beating a mile a minute.

"For some reason, it feels like I'm standing next to Volcarona's Fiery Dance." Emma whispered, "Does this have something to do with Jack or the Nightmare from earlier?"

Emma kept herself as calm as possible, but her heart was still racing. Raboot popped out of his Pokéball and immediately went to find Jack, but he had to go nowhere, Jack showed up.

"Yes, today is my free day, my assignments for this week are done." Emma responded.

Charlie reached out and caught the premier ball in her hand "hmm, its not the orange that goes with my theme...but it'll work" looking up to Del "so these guys are like your pupils? Or something. Well I guess a pokemon battle would be more fitting" she sighed and shrugged. Suddenly she bent over with a stern gaze directed at Skinny, Scrawny, and Scraggly "but if you guys steal something from me again I'll skip the pokemon and fight you myself" all 3 of the boys flinched from fear. "I'll see what my new team member can do, and I get to see how you have been doing with battling Del." After that remark she looked over to Dom who had arrived at the scene "hey Dom! I know its sudden and all but would you mind being the ref for our match." Charlie asked with a grin.

Before the fight began Charlie promptly pressed on the pokeball, out with a flash of light repealed a small ball of white fluff, curled up into itself "Is that....." she reached out her hand to the fluff ball, her hand stopped once the ball unraveled, staring at Charlie's hand was a small fox like pokemon, its blue eyes contrasting with its white body like a crystal clear pool of water. The eevee sniffed Charlie's hand before giving out a cheerful yip "I....love you, you are a precious little guy" Charlie looked st the fox pokemon starry-eyed, it was rare to see an eevee that wasn't evolved, atleast back home and from the trainers here, and this was the first time she had layed eyes on a shiny one, or even knew of an eevee's shiny white coat. Charlie was squatted down, running her hand across the small fox's head and back. The eevee's soft purrs melted Charlie's heart. Eventually she shook her head, along with a ferm slap across her face "ow...ok chill Charlie, remember what you're doing. Hello little guy, I know we just met and all but I'm your new trainer, and I'm about to have a battle and I want you to lead the team ok" Charlie asked, still being relatively gentle towards the eevee. It gave a confident bark and hopped up. Charlie stood up and had a wide smile across her face "haha you're into it! Great! ...actually I gotta give you a name" she though for a moment, staring at the eevee before her she okce again fixated on her blue eyes, like a crystal puddle "how about Shallow, cause your pretty blue eyes." She awaited a response from her new member who with a chirp and a hop seemed to agree with the name "okay Shallow, first battle. Lets do this together with Del here!" She pointed at the 2 boys she was challenging, lowering her sunglasses in preparation.

Ivan had just finished picking out the pokemon he wanted to join him on his way to Eevee Grove, he quickly made his way to his dorm to get something for himself before leaving. Red followed close behind Ivan with his arms were still crossed looking as serious as ever.

They made their way to the dorm room and opened it to see Laura braiding her hair. "Good Morning Laura, I can't talk right now I'm about to head on over to Eevee Grove to catch a pokemon." Once Ivan had stopped talking Scizor had handed him the coat and boots he asked his uncle for since he Dislikes the cold weather. He quickly put the coat on and slipped the boots on, he reached under his bed and grabbed five great balls he had been saving, he quickly turned on his phone and began to check a couple of things before leaving.

"Oh, good! That means we can head to the Eevee Grove today." Jack smiled and grabbed Justin's ball, letting him out. "You remember that, don't you? About a month ago, we said we'd head to a rumored Eevee Grove once we had another free day. Do you...still want to?" Jack asked. He didn't even consider if Emma still wanted to go, but it was something he was looking forward to, so it completely slipped his mind.

Having awoken a little earlier than normal, Alex dressed for the day and quietly arranged some pillows under his blanket to give the illusion that he was still there. Alex knew James probably wouldn't appreciate being fooled, but he was feeling a little mischievous this morning as he left the dorm with his Pokemon, stealthily making his way down the hall, out the front door and to the forest. Finding a clearing next to a pond of considerable size and depth, Alex let out his team. "Aria, Gwen, Nessie, Rex! Come on out!"

The past month was crazy to Alex; joining the Archeology club, obtaining a Tyrunt he named Rex, making new friends, and adapting to school life with his lack of sight. He hated to admit it but, his aura abilities usually only involved sensing living organisms. An idea he found ironic since it was thanks to that ability that he found the big jaw fossil that became his Tyrunt.

Back at the present...

Alex allowed his Pokemon to play while he played his ocarina. The song he played was called: The Song of Storms. It was more upbeat than the more calming tune he'd usually play, but it was nice not having to calm someone down for a change. Human or Pokemon. He had no idea how long he was playing when out of nowhere he heard the sound of thunder. Not knowing the source of the sound or being able to see anything, Alex stopped playing. "Who knew The Song of Storms would actually work?" Looking towards his Pokemon, he called out. "Hey guys, I think we should head back now!"

A while later...

Alex seemed to have lost his way as he tried making his way through the overgrowth with Rex clearing the way with his powerful jaws. Sadly, the forest is usually not the place for the blind and, despite following Rex, Alex eventually tripped on an exposed tree root and fell down the hill. "AAAAH!!"

Upon reaching the bottom, Alex was sufficiently battered, bruised and disoriented. Rex had made his way down the hill and was currently nudging Alex's cheek. "Ugh, thanks Rex." As he attempted to stand, Alex felt severe pain shoot through his right leg. Looking down, he noticed his aura was out of whack, which to him meant that his leg was most definitely broken. "Son of a -" Silently cursing his luck, Alex felt a multitude of curious auras converge around his location. What he couldn't see, was that these auras belonged to many Eevee. Alex had painfully and unknowingly found the rumoured Eevee grotto in the forest! While initially startled, the Eevee came to Alex, trying to help him move until they realized he couldn't walk. Seeing this, they decided the best thing to do would be to cuddle around Alex and keep him warm while Rex propped him into a sitting position and supported his back until help arrived. Feeling the warmth from the Pokemon, Alex began to relax, but only a little bit. "Thank you."

"Yes, I've been waiting all month to do this," Emma responded, "I will have to talk to Laura after it though, I've been up for three hours already."

Emma and Raboot prepared for the Day, making sure Raboot and her Poliwhirl were fine. As such, it was a semi cold day, which made her more confused. She blushed at the prospect of another free day running around chasing rumors with Jack, last time, they found a Larvitar nest with not that many Larvitars, and assisted Tyranitar and Aggron with Defending their Territory. Emma had caught Togetic on her way there, and her Pokeballs reflected that, There was a Pokeball, an Ultra Ball, a Fast Ball, and a Friend Ball on her belt. The Fast Ball shook whenever Emma would experience something that would relate to what happened to her. She's had a lot less of that, and she hoped she could get it sorted out this year.

-----

The Shiny Ninetales had been Patrolling its territory, and had been walking around when it bumped into James. Vulpix had been nodding, as Ninetales checked in to see how Vulpix was doing while James and Steelix did some training in the area.

------

Mr. Dogwood had been looking around to help whatever students were needing Revived, identified and other stuff while Professor Koga had been teaching. He had noticed Jason, the Junior Division Champion of Hoenn, walking towards class.

"Hey there, Jason, is something's up, I just gave a progress check to Steven Stone, who was quite surprised you took an interest in Geology lately."

Jason turned around, his hair still wet from the shower. He unintentionally splashed Mr. Dogwood's Slowking. He then stood there in shock, not expecting someone to find out about his new and changing habits, like going to Geology. The young near champion then entered the door and saw Reese, Simeon, Alice, Cody and Mia. Jason took a seat near Reese and Mia, and hoped for a recap after talking with Mr. Dogwood.

"Oh, by the way, is something wrong? Your face is super red, and it looks your heart's beating out of your chest with how much you're swearing." Jack said, while Justin began to lean up against the wall behind him. "Did you happen to have a bad dream, or anything like that?"

One month later at the crack of dawn, June swore very loudly. She had just been jolted awake by a sudden crack of lightning, and was understandably displeased. “Battling at this time? And using Thunder at that! Why can’t they use Sing? Or Hypnosis? Or Throat Chop? Or bloody Guillotine?“ she muttered to herself in annoyance. As she got into a sitting position, she winced. Her ribs were extremely sore, undoubtedly from the events of the previous night. June’s annoyance shifted to misery as she remembered what she had done to deserve the bruise. It didn’t help when she noticed a familiar slip of paper on the ground. She picked it up and read it over.

The paper contained, in messy scrawl, records of her battles over the past month. The results weren’t pretty.

W: 36
L: 48
Final WR: 42.8%

June thought to herself the same thing that she’d thought when she first tallied up the results. Disgusting.

She placed the slip back onto her nightstand and got dressed, letting the brisk air shock her awake. Then, she tentatively tried the release button on her Durant’s Pokeball. The bug type had returned herself the previous night after nailing her trainer with a nasty headbutt, and hadn't come out since. June couldn't blame her, considering what she said. She was honestly grateful that her partner had held back, which was evident due to the fact that she still had a full set of unbroken ribs.

The Pokeball clicked, but nothing happened. Sigh. June opened her mouth to say something, but stopped. Too cliche. Everything that needed to be said had already been said. She simply left the Pokeball on her bed and opened the window. “I’m leaving. Track me when you’re ready,” she said out loud before trudging out the door.

"Another Nightmare, which is why I'm talking to Laura after this," Emma responded, getting up, picking up Raboot, "And Raboot was looking for you."

Emma's Fast Ball shook, then stopped, Raboot then hopped on Emma's shoulder. Emma then made sure everything was ready for the trip.

"You ready, let's go!" Emma called out.

“Yeah, I’m ready.” Jack nodded to Raboot before running into the elevator. "Well, hopefully, we won't scare any Eevee while we're there. I know that they tend to be timid creatures." Jack thought out loud.

Ivan left his room and was already in the lobby, he reached into his belt and sent out his Mudkip named Kappa.
"Hey Kappa, ready to go on a adventure? We'll get to catch an Eevee today, little buddy." Kappa began to wag his tail and run circles around Ivan and Red. Ivan patted Kappa's head picked, him up and put him on his head. Ivan, Kappa and Redd walked out of the dorm building and began to make their way towards the Eevee Grove.

"Yeah, sure I'll judge the battle." Dom said, "Lets say... a Double battle! Each person uses one Pokemon." Dom explained.

Dom threw out his Charizard.

"Can you carve a small battlefield for us please?" Dom asked.

Charizard nodded and quickly carved the battlefield shape into the ground.

"Ready when you are, Charlie!" Dom said.

Charlie nodded at Dom's decision to etch a battlefield for them to use. Charlie took her focus off and shallow and caught sight of Dom's charizard. It took her a moment to realize it was even there, I suppose she was too focused on her own new pokemon. She shouted out "Dom you got a SHINY charizard?! Thats incredible! That black coloring is super cool. Do you think it would be a positive for a charizard to be shiny, because of how black absorbs sunlight more and all that." Shallow and Charlie stepped out of the way as Dom's charizard carved an arena out "did you just catch him? I'm impressed he even knew what a battlefield looks like. Actually, I was thinking a charizard would be a bit taller. Its like the same height at me" Charlie gave a smile towards Dom's charizard, hoping it was a fan of the teasing. With the arena all ready Charlie stood at one end it. Shallow out in front of her "well Del, I guess we should get this doubles match underway. I'm about as ready to teach your goons some etiquette as I am to see how my little buddy fairs in battle."
Charlie thought up in her head the attacks an eevee uses, not having a device to tell her didn't make it easy, but with the talk of an eevee grotto on the island from eveyone she read some books on eevee and its evolutions in her own time. "Hmm lets see, I'm faily certain Shallow knows all of the moves I'm thinking of...ooh I know what a good finisher will be..." Charlie grinned at her thoughts, normally she didn't prepare for a battle and think of strategies. But given its her first battle with a new pokemon, and a double battle at that. Above that she has to learn to think ahead, she would need a full proof plan if she wanted to even have a even match against Jason as her team was now. "I'm ready when you all are. Shallow is too!" Both Charlie and Shallow sounded off. Charlie took the time to toss out her other 4 pokemon to watch the match, they all crowded around next to Del's Vars and Arith...

"Oh! I've been training with Charizard for a month now, but yeah I caught it this morning." Dom laughed.

Charizard forced a smile at Charlies comment, but Dom laughed too.

"I'm sure it'll grow a bit more." Dom said.

Once Charizard was done it landed right next to Dom. It let out a yawn as it was still pretty early.

"Alright, ready when you are!" Dom said.

As he was waiting Dom pulled out his Student Handbook and turned it on, just to go over the battle rules one more time. As he skimmed through the rules, he noticed what day it was.

"Huh.. September 17th already?" he thought.

Shinies? What the heck are those? Del never knew of shiny pokemon, he always assumed pokemon had 1 color, it didn't help that the only Ribombee he's ever seen was also a shiny. "That is one BAMF of a charizard you got there, Dom, and thanks for being the judge of this match." He noticed the School ID he had. "Oh that reminds me." He gave one to Charlie as Connor and Del had been by the Head Mistress's office hearing about an application for a potential cheerleader. "The head lady herself gave me some, suppose to give them out to anyone that doesn't have one, I'm assuming you don't have one that is."

After giving Charlie her School ID, he began eyeballing the pure white Eevee. "I don't mean to be rude, but are you sure that's the prize? Maybe Dom's charizard was the real prize, but you seem to like it, so what the hey."

"This ring is awesome! Makes it feel more official, Thanks Dom. Now then." Del popped his collar and unbuttoned his jacket."I hope you're ready for the power of... Kyogre Lake Academy's... uh..." stammered Skinny. "I'll think of a name for you guys." Del answered Skinny's non existent question. "That'd be so cool, captain! Anyways, Minun, I choose you!" Skinny tossed out a small rodent like pokemon that had blue tipped ears. "Really, bro? You should've used the other one, doesn't matter, my Atomatisse will finish this with or without you." Scrawny said tossing out the pink bird pokemon with a sparkle in his eye as Skinny cringed at his partner's confidence. "I'll start this little shindig, only makes sense, since it's my boys I'm having to punish. I'll start lightly, Algo, Tailwind!" I've only battled Connor a few times, and I usually rely on speed to beat his Sawk, I'm glad Algo knows this little trick. A strong gust kicks up behind Algo, pushing some of his fluff past his body, but not budging him an inch. Algo thought to himself, "The time of reckoning has come for the apostles of my master, be not afraid of the near future, for it only brings more despair, failed disciples!"

Emma caught up to Jack as Raboot kept on Emma's shoulder, looking around as she boarded the Elevator, having made sure everything was okay, as she looked to Jack.

"We will find this Eevee Grove, and hopefully, not scare any Eevee while we're at it." Emma called out, "I've been waiting a month for this, Let's hope it's not ruined."

Emma had been a bit fidgety, nervous, she wasn't sure what was going on, but it was something she had to keep out of the way for now. She enjoyed spending time with Jack, when she was able, and it then tried to show itself, her face having a slight tinge to it.

“…and that’s why fossils most often occur in deposits of sedimentary rocks!” Professor Koga exclaimed triumphantly, gesturing with flamboyance. His white lab coat swished with gusto, his messy light-green hair wild to match the light in his eyes. He always became manic like this when teaching— it put a lot of students off, causing them to drop the class, but Reese found it was part of his charm. She thought it made his lessons all the more engaging.

Reese and Mika had said hi to Jason when he came in, but once the lesson began in earnest, Reese had turned her attention to jotting down notes in her messy handwriting. She knew a lot of what was being taught already due to her field experience, but she found it solidified her knowledge better by learning in a classroom environment. Plus, Professor Koga’s… unique teaching style was a take on her learnings that Reese wasn’t used to, and it often led to entertaining debates.

The Professor began erasing his board. “That’s all for today, class,” he said brightly. He looked over the bridge of his glasses to the archaeology club’s members individually. “If you find a curious rock, do feel free to bring it in for a little extra credit. Oh, and Simeon, I would like to see at least a picture of your carving— your work is always exquisite.” Koga punctuated his words with vibrant hand motions.

Sim gave an exaggerated salute paired with a dopey grin. “Aye-aye, sir!” he hollered as he stepped his foot up on the nearest windowsill and launched himself out of the building to land in a tree, closely followed by his Excadrill.

Reese covered a laugh as she gathered her things. “Bye, Prof!” she called to Koga with a wave. The geologist waved back distractedly as he turned to a mess of papers that looked to be his next lesson plans. Reese flashed a grin to Mika as the shy girl left in a rush, and discreetly dropped Join the KLA Archaeology Club! flyers on Alice and Cody’s desks, ignoring the slightly irritated glances she received in return. She waited beside the doorway for Jason, bouncing on the balls of her feet.

Charlie took the digital handbook from Del, looking over the outside of it before tossing it to Dune, having realized she left her bag of things on top of the school's roof. Upon hearing Del's remark about which pokemon was the real prize she puffed up her cheeks "I'll show you why Shallow's a prized pokemon yet Del."

The battle commenced, Charlie began to think of the type matchup set before her, a electric type and a fairy type. Against her own Normal type and Del's grass-fairy. It seemed to be a fairly balanced battle regarding typings.

Algo set up Tailwind on the field, a nice speed boost to complement both itself and allies, Charlie preemptively gripped the side of her skirt with a hand as the wind kicked up "much appreciated Del, but I'll never get over this uniform." She quiped. Scrawny took the next attack "fairy wind, hit em both Aromatisse!" The pokemon did as instructed and with a vry launched a sharp breeze of air towards Algo and Shallow "you guys are way too slow! Quick attack Shallow!" The white eevee dashed out, the boost from tailwind allowing her to easily blitz around one side of the field, completely evadinf the fairy wind attack and tackling aromatisse in record time, the blunt tackle knocking aromatisse into the center of the ring "you let me get hit Skinny! Back me up!" Scrawny stomped his foot on the ground "I-I couldn't react it was too fast....oh I got it! Slow that eevee down, nuzzle!" Skinny acted. With a hop, minun jumped out in front of Shallow, its cheecks jolting with electricity as it inched closer to Charlie's eevee who was trying to back away and dodge the electric type's attack "ok Del you're up." Charlie said in hopes of assistance from her battle partner.

Jason had been listening to Geology lectures from Professor Koga, when he called that class was done, he let out his Shieldon, who walked beside him. He walked up to Reese, seeing the shy girl, Mia if his memory worked, run off with dropping recruitment flyers for the Archeology. Alice and Cody had these irritated glances on their faces, as some second years looked over to see Jason approach Reese, he turned around and gave them a glare of a champion. The second years looked down at their feet as Jason turned back around.

"Sorry about that, Reese." Jason was rubbing the back of his head, "Can I get the notes from Geology, I missed half the class, Steven Stone called, is there something you wanted?"

"Stealing my thunder is not very appreciated, but the reverberations of that strike constructed an almost joy-like feeling." Algo ran and lept over and above Shallow, plummeting straight into the Minun. "Leech seed!" Del yelled as Algo and the Minun collided and rolled. "If you win this, I'll let you take me to lunch." Connor tried to yell, but was nervous and just said it, while Vars sat on Connor's shoulder and Arith sat between Connor's feet. "Yeah, c'mon, cap'n, show these good-for-nothings why you're the cap'n!" Shouted Scraggly. "You friggin' turncoat, you should be rooting for the guys who helped you steal a pokemon, not his enemy! Whatever, Aromatisse, moonblast!" Scrawny commanded while Skinny looked at him in awe. "Hey! That's gonna hit Minun too!" "Don't care, I gotta show the boss how far I've come." "You mean we. Fine, Minun, helping hand." The Minun shot a look over at the Aromatisse as he tightened his grip on Algo, ready to take the hit to secure the victory for his teammate. Del looked to his side with a hand on his hip and a nonchalant smile. "Speak now or forever hold your peace, Charlie."

Charlie swung her arm with determination as Algo confronted the minun before Shallow could take the paralyzing attack "nice work Algo!" Given the opportunity she was about to call out for Shallow's next attack, "allright Sha- huh?!" She was cutoff as the three began to bicker, the flip flopping of one and the team-attacking combo of the other two. "Hey!" Charlie shouted over them "you guys get along about as good as a zangoose and a serviper!" All the boys looked at her with a confused expression. "You don't get it?! Sheesh Del, your crew needs some work."

Charlie heeded Del's smug call to action "ok everyone nobody's gonna sack their teamate, Swift!" Shallow leaped into the air up above thr three other pokemon, and with an array of sparks flashed around the white eevee, many balls of energy shaped like stars appeared from the sparks and fired like missles towards the ground, swift hit both the aromatisse and the minun, while Shallow was trying to keep the attack from hitting algo it was hard to say for sure if there was friendly fire or not "and the battles back to neutral." Snickered Charlie, both Skinny and Scrawnys' pokemon were knocked back to their starting side of the battlefield, Shallow jumped around till she was stanced up next to Algo, the eevee shifted its focus to the whimsicott for a moment to check if she had hit Algo or not with her swift attack. "Ve" she mumbled.

Del looked over as Charlie commented about his gang and mouthed, "I don't even know how it really started."

Without looking at the Eevee, Algo brushed off some dirt from his shoulder. "Much obliged." he thought. The Minun stood back up, only to fall back onto one knee as leech seed had taken some of his health and gave it to Algo. "Let's go De-el, Let's go, Char-lie." Connor, Arith, and Vars clapped. "Thank you, thank you, but hold your applause, because you haven't seen nothing yet!" With the boost from Tailwind, Algo ran up, grabbed the Minun and was about to use Giga drain when the Aromatisse stood up and fired a moonblast which hit Algo dead on, knocking him back a few feet, but leaving him standing. Del still stood relaxed and confident as did Connor, but Arith began to bite his nonexistent nails as he heard the sickening sound of a blast hitting pokemon flesh.

"We won't ruin it, I'm sure." Jack replied. "By the time we get there, it'll be noon, which is usually when most of them come out of hiding." He explained. "Although, catching an Eevee without disrupting the peace would be a pretty tall order..." He said, somewhat to himself.

Charlie watched the whimsicotts attempt of attack, only to be met by a fierce attack. Charlie thought for a moment at what her next plan of action would be "its too soon for my finisher, but what would be good here..." "Evoi!" Charlie's thoughts were interuppted by Shallow, with a yelp directed to the sky, a shooting star shot past the island suddenly "was that?" Charlie mumbled, her other pokemon looked at the shooting star in awe. Charlie tried to remember something she read
" In one of my books on eevee there was something about shooting stars I remember there was....oh right! In one of those books it talked about possible egg moves for eevee, one of which being the move wish!" Charlie pumped her fist up high "That was wish, you know wish!"

Skinny overheard this and started to panic "ah wait if that was wish then soon enough boss's whimsicott is gonna be healed up. Take out that whimsicott before wish can activate!" He shouted. The minun ran at Algo, charging with crackling energy "Shallow while its busy take minun out! Last resort!" Skinny and Scrawny both fell forward "last resort!?" One shouted. Shallow ran up, stars forming around her body along with a strong whute aura. With a loud clash the shiny eevee managed to intercept the electric type. It sent Skinny's minun flying out of the ring, falling into Scraggly and knocking him over. It was clear that the minun had fainted. "Yes! Awesome work Shallow. Well Del I suppose Algo and you can take care of that aromatisse easy."

"With pleasure." Algo thought recieving the healing from Shallow's wish. Algo began to slowly approach the Aromatisse, imitating an action movie star by punching his nub of a hand into his nub of a palm, and pretended to crack his knuckles. Upon getting about a foot away from the Aromatisse Algo suddenly became a blur as he dashed around and behind it in a matter of seconds, grabbing the Aromatisse and beginning to lift it up above his head. "Finish this in your own way, Algo! Trust your own judgement!" Fired off Del, excited to see what his little partner could do. The Aromatisse's feet began to lift off the ground. "I'll end this in a fashion similar to that of a merciless beast, by draining every ounce of it's life-force!" Algo began to use giga drain as if wish did nothing for him. The Aromatisse began to squirm as it was being lifted up, by the higher it got lifted, the less fighr it had in it before eventually being dropped. "A feast not even fit for a dog, pity."

Scrawny and Skinny both recalled their pokemon and trudged over to Charlie to apologize for the poke-napping. "Hey, we're real sorry in all, honest. We just thought if anyone deserved a prized pokemon, it would be the captain." Scrawny said for both Skinny and himself. "You two were pathetic out there, truly terrible." Del said pulling out a toothpick from his matchbox and sticking it in his mouth. "Your teamwork was all over the place, that's why you lost. Take this stick for example." Del walked over and grabbed a stick and smacked it against his hand a few times. "Sturdy enough, but when enough pressure is applied..." the stick snapped in two as he slammed it agaisnt his knee. "The stick breaks. This stick represents you, as a singular, but let's say we have multiple sticks were togther." He grabbed a whole pile of sticks from underneath the same tree and drug them over and took 3 of them. "These three, when put together..." he slammed it down onto his knee without any of them breaking. "Create an indestructible bond. Now, I want each of you to take a stick and remember this lesson in teamwork." Scraggly joined in and grabbed the first stick, followed by Scrawny and Skinny taking a stick. They all looked at their own stick and compared it to the others, each srick was nearly identical to one another. "And from this day forth, the team of miscreants I lead shall be known as... Team Twig." All three of the boys widened their eyes, they weren't jumping up with joy, due to the scolding, but the fire in the heart blazed even stronger due to this lesson. "If you see anyone who looks down or needs a group to accept them, you give them one of these sticks and let them know Team Twig has their back." Scraggly took his stick and stuck it behind his belt, so it was stuck between his belt and pants, Skinny took his and placed it behind his ear, and Scrawny took his and placed it in his mouth, trying to impress Del. The three of them then turned, each with a handful of sticks, and a new lesson about teamwork heavy on their hearts, and began to walk off towards their respective classes.

“Oh, yeah!” Reese fumbled in her bag for her Geology notebook, then handed it to Jason with a sheepish grin. “Good luck reading it, though,” she added apologetically. “Never had a lotta time for handwriting lessons in the field… been going on digs with my dad since I was just a baby. Whoever babysat me tried to teach me, but yaknow… they’re Ruin Maniacs, not teachers. Ack—!” Reese ruffled her hair in self-directed irritation, causing Ricochet to skitter down her neck and latch onto her shoulder. “I’m rambling again. Anyway— once I drop my bag off at my dorm, I’m free for the day. We could go exploring, or grab some grub, or whatever.” She tilted her head with a smile and a shrug.

As the finale of the battle happened before Charlie's eyes. She couldn't help but luagh at the small cotton ball pokemon holding up Scrawny's aromatisse like a wrestler. With that the battle was over. Charlie shrugged at the boys when they apologized to her "you got taught a lesson so its whatever. The important thing is don't do it again."

Instead of recalling Shallow. Charlie held out her arms, the eevee gave an excited chirp and ran up to Charlie, climbing up her arm and finally holding itself to her shoulder "haha I'm proud of you Shallow! You did great for the first match!" Charlie's pokemon all crowded around her while Del gave his lecture to the three goons. They all congratulated Shallow on the victory, to which she hopped down from Charlie's shoulder and began to run around the other four pokemon, yipping and smiling with joy as it circled them "oh I guess if you come from a grove of eevee, I bet you don't see many other pokemon...well then Shallow, I'll have to let you guys all hang out and get to know each other. Later tho. I just remembered I have to grab my stuff from the top of the school" Dune handed Charlie her digital handbook before all 5 pokemon were recalled and placed back on Charlie's belt. She slightly understood Del's lecture and from behind Del watched as the newly formed Team Twig walked off. "You started a gang. I mean....that works, maybe they'll join you on the Cheer team next" Charlie luaghed a bit at her teasing. "Well anyways it was great getting to battle with ya Del, I can tell you've really improved your skills since last time I watched you go at it. I've got to run but I'll see you around bud." She walked up and pat Del's back before turning towards the school and making her way along the path "talk to ya later Del, Dom" with a wave Charlie was off. She began to look around and fiddle with the things the school-issued digital handbook could do as she walked...
