Ru
Ru took a slight step backwards when Miku's first move wasn't to attack, but to enlarge his hands. The boy couldn't do anything, as he simply watched the hands grow an inordinate amount before crashing down before him. In confusion, Ru looked about, eyes full of panic- Miku had built an entire wall to separate him from his opponent. Ru gritted his teeth before shaking his head and snapping back into consciousness, no way he'd go down that easily. As Miku's palm pressed forward rapidly, Ru narrowed his gaze and aimed both his hands at one of the hands- he only needed to stop one. The boy used his enhancing tool that funneled the glue he secreted into a strong stream, he aimed intensely at the base of one of the hands- but it was moving to fast to be caught. With a groan, Ru took his left hand and twisted the machine on his right hand until it folded into a small oval shape. Ru, clearly becoming pressured under the limited time he had to escape, waited only a second to gather his glue before it came out of the oval frame in the shape of a medium sized bubble.
Ru heart beat rapidly as he watched the bubble come into contact with Miku's hand and explode on contact, covering the palm in the sticky secretion so it was forced to stop as it stuck to the floor. Letting out a relieved breath, Ru began to press forward- he took two quick steps towards the stuck hand- planning to climb over it to get to Miku- when his feet suddenly left the floor. It happened so quick he couldn't even see it, he was only a foot away when one of Miku's fingers jutted outwards and made harsh contact with Ru's chest. The taller boy sputtered and let out a short yelp, taken by surprise by the finger. And while he wanted to escape, Ru clung to the tip of the finger- knowing that it was going to fast for him to be able to evacuate safely. In a matter of seconds, the finger stopped and Ru slipped off of it- revealing that his feet were outside of the boundary line. "Damn..." the boy muttered softly as he looked back towards Miku.
Sam
Sam grunted softly when Dakarai grabbed a hold of her thin tail. The girls tail was sensitive, after all it wasn't often that someone just grabbed it- and Dakarai's movements were completely unexpected. Sam smiled as she put more weight into her feet, crouching for better balance. Dakarai had done something Sam hadn't seen out of the girl, growing extra human arms rather than an animal's. Still, even without the brute strength of a beast, Dakarai's extra appendages gave her an immediate advantage. Sam couldn't help but enjoy the challenge, as Dakarai closed to gap- Sam accepted the decrease in distance and waited until the girl was close enough before launching into battle. Sam moved fluidly, one kick after the next- but nothing landed past Dakarai's 8 limb defense. Sam pivoted on her back foot, spinning around to make contact with Dakrai's left side, but the other girl easily blocked with two of her arms, and turned her body to punch with a free arm- Sam flipped backwards to evade the attack. While mid-air Sam felt a tug at the base of her back, and was forced to the floor when Dakarai used the girl's tail to restrain her. Sam got to her feet panting, it was clear Dakarai wasn't using nearly as much energy, she was barely even moving her feet. Sam wiped a bead of sweat from her cheek with her shoulder and braced herself as Dakarai charged forward again, Dakarai obviously wanted to finish things quickly. Sam huffed, allowing Dakarai to get close before she leapt into the air and raised a foot, Sam focused on one of Dakarai's extra limbs, the one that held Sam's tail, rather than her body, landing a hard blow to it's wrist and forcing Dakarai to drop her tail. Sam knew she was vulnerable while in the air, but she had to free her tail- she took the inevitable blow that Dakarai delivered, sending her spinning backwards before her body landed with a thud. Sam pushed herself back up, standing shakily and narrowing her eyes on Dakarai. The pair of friends stood across from each other for an extra moment, and in that time the winner was already clear. Sam's body swayed slightly and she gritted her teeth, Dakarai didn't want to hurt her- she could see it in the other girl's eyes- but she didn't want to lose either. Part of Sam's body was already shutting down, she pushed forward with a groan, not quite ready to accept defeat. Sam, this time, started the barrage of attacks- flinging kicks and punches without any breaks any between. She wasn't weak... or at least she didn't want to be. She didn't want to watch her friends grow stronger while she lagged behind, but in just a short period she felt that Dakarai had improved so much, she was glad for her friend... so why was she still so upset?
